Not everything is free delivery
House of Isabella promises free delivery for everything on their website but then when you want to purchase a item that they sell on their website but for a “external partner” they charge you £5 delivery but fail to mention this in any small print and anywhere on the site and then when you question this, this is their response.
To clarify, the Rowen Homes range is supplied by an external partner and is fulfilled and delivered directly by them. As a result, delivery charges for Rowen Homes items are set by Rowen Homes themselves and do not come from House of Isabella.
The free delivery promotion applies to all House of Isabella–owned and fulfilled products, which are dispatched directly by us. Unfortunately, this promotion does not extend to third-party partner items, including the Rowen Homes range, as these are excluded from House of Isabella promotions.
This is misleading and fraudulent behaviour.

All House of Isabella–owned and fulfilled products on our website are delivered free of charge — this applies to every item that is dispatched directly by us.
Some collections on our website, such as the Rowen Homes range, are supplied and fulfilled by carefully selected external partners. These items are clearly marked on the product page, and delivery charges for these ranges are set and applied by the supplier directly. Because they are not dispatched by House of Isabella, they are excluded from our free delivery promotion.
We absolutely understand that delivery costs can be frustrating, however there is no intention to mislead. The free delivery offer applies to all House of Isabella fulfilled items, and partner-fulfilled products operate under their own delivery terms.

I purchased a mirror from this company…
I purchased a mirror from this company over three weeks ago, delivery was very quick, however I purchased an off white mirror that was advertised, however a beige mirror turned up. Requested a refund with them on the 18.11.25 and they just keep fobbing me off. The mirror is nice if you want beige, the description is off white, please be wary of the photo’s. I wouldnt purchase again from this company as the customer service is shocking. They clearly are trying to hold on to my money, with no thought that I need to have it back in account.Apparently they are trying to sort a pick up with a courier, which has now been two weeks.
Please do not buy from this company, you will find it very hard to get an honest and prompt reply, they just keep asking for my patience on the matter.

Yet another company who sells you something that they knowingly don’t have in stock and has been discontinued. Contact them and they are very quick to respond trying to sell you an alternative, however when you ask for a refund the lines of communication go very dead!

We would never knowingly sell an item that has been discontinued. On rare occasions, stock discrepancies can occur due to supplier updates not being reflected immediately, but there is absolutely no intention to mislead customers.
We’re also sorry if you experienced any delay in communication regarding your refund. That is certainly not the service standard we aim to provide. Refunds are processed as quickly as possible once confirmed, and we would never intentionally delay returning funds.

I ordered a bedhead online, order processed and payment taken.
Customer service sent me an email the next day saying the item wasn't available, would I like to choose from a list of other items, wait for this bedhead to be restocked or process a refund. They implied new stock might not be far away so I initially chose to wait but later looked at the site again and noticed they'd put an expected date of March next year.
I sent again asking for a refund but got no response from them so moved my communication to the chat function. I was advised they were processing a refund through my PayPal. I've been advised by PayPal that the refund has been processed but now its stuck in a holding/pending state because House of Isabella used an echeque to issue the refund, it could take up to 7 days before I get my money back.
So, they got my money instantly but use a system for refunds that makes me wait a week before I can go looking for my replacement bedhead. And no, its not PayPal, other refunds I've had have gone straight back to my account.
Bad enough that you're selling items you don't have (other reviews suggest this happens quite a bit) but to use a refund system that holds our money for a week is quite unethical.

Firstly, we apologise that the bedhead was unavailable after your order was placed. Stock discrepancies can occasionally occur due to supplier updates, but we completely appreciate how disappointing this is — especially when payment has already been taken.
Regarding your refund, we want to reassure you that we do not intentionally delay refunds or hold onto customers’ money. When refunds are issued via PayPal, the processing method and timeframes are controlled by PayPal’s system. In some cases, PayPal processes refunds as an eCheque, which can take several working days to clear. Unfortunately, this part of the process is not something we can manually override once submitted.
We completely understand that waiting for funds to clear can delay you purchasing a replacement item, and we’re sorry for that inconvenience. There is absolutely no unethical intention behind the process — the refund was issued as soon as requested.
