Uncompassionate, ill-informed GP
I had been experiencing persistent pelvic pain as part of the menopause, which I had been managing on co-codamol 500/12.8mg. My own GP had tried me on a couple of different HRT patches in the hope that symptoms would settle down. Over the weekend the co-codamol was no longer having any impact on the pain. First available GP appointment was for 01Jul26 at 8.30am. Booked an appointment with Dr Online for stronger pain killers to see me through till my GP appointment.
Dr Mohamed Youssef was the Dr Online GP, who told me that pelvic pain was not a symptom of the menopause. I suggest that Dr Youssef needs re-educating on this or at least uses Google.
As a medical professional, I should have been asked whether I was having any abnormal bleeding, bleeding after sex, discharge, whether there was a change in sexual partners, instead he liked to focus on cystitis which I do not have. I have no other symptoms other than pelvic pain.
Was prescribed a medication for heavy bleeding and endometriosis, of which I had neither but my 10 minutes was up and Dr Youssef was keen to leave the call.
Uncompassionate, ill-informed GP who needs re-training in menopausal symptoms.

All the prep info was a waste - £59 please
I’m on holiday from Australia, British citizen. I have a tooth abcess and requested a consult for a prescription for antibiotics to avoid pain and to hold me over until I get home.
I put all this information in my advance notice, which also listed all the drugs they could not prescribe…nothing about a tooth abcess.
They charged me £59 for a consult, to tell me they are not allowed to prescribe for a tooth abcess.
So, if you think someone reads all that information you have to put in to get the consult and thinks about your appt..they clearly don’t!

To clarify, our booking platform is fully automated and allows appointments to be secured instantly. The information provided during the booking process is sent directly to the clinician for review during the consultation; it is not pre-screened by a member of staff beforehand. The Terms of Use are displayed within the booking process and must be accepted before the appointment can be completed.
In line with UK clinical and regulatory standards, online GPs are unable to safely prescribe treatment for dental abscesses, as these conditions require a physical dental examination and appropriate dental assessment. This is why the doctor advised that you seek care from a dentist.
As the consultation took place and clinical advice was provided by the doctor, the consultation fee is non-refundable in accordance with our Terms of Use.
We appreciate your feedback and are sorry that this was not the outcome you were hoping for.

wildly unethical - avoid - scam
wildly unethical - took my money when they knew they'd be unable to help me.
The dr I spoke to said they were unable to provide my prescription without a screenshot from the NHS app. The app wasnt working while on the call, but it did work after, so I provided a screenshot. She then proceeded to tell me she couldnt help me.
I cannot believe they take payment when they know they are unable to help you (as they ask what you are seeing the dr for in the pre booking online form)

A huge relief
I thought I was developing shingles in my face. I knew that starting treatment early was crucial to how severe and long-lasting it could be, but my NHS GP had no appointments, and the 'urgent treatment centre' I was referred to had signs up turning patients away because they were full. Desperate times for the NHS. I quickly got an appointment at Dr Online and was seen within minutes. A huge relief! Very helpful GP who answered all my questions, prescribed the anti-virals, and was pleasant and informative about the condition, the potential side effects of the medications, etc. I would definitely recommend.

I urgently needed a prescription.
I urgently needed a prescription when I could not get into my regular GP. Dr Sharma was lovely. She thoroughly assessed my history and current medical condition and was able to give me the prescription i needed.
