Spanish55 has provided excellent support to me during my years of learning to speak Spanish. In particular, Coach Flor, my tutor, is a wonderful teacher and now, friend. She has been so patient with me during our 3 years together. I appreciate her adaptability. She stops to listen calmly as I start a conversation in Spanish. She maintains our conversation well and sometimes pictures, charts or resources are shared to clarify the subject. Coach Flor has helped my vocabulary and grammar grow through her gracious way of correcting my pronounciation or word choice errors. She is quick to reinforce vocabulary by writing the correct word or phrase in chat. Coach Flor is receptive to my requests and truly a kind and knowledgeable person. I feel blessed to have Coach Flor as my tutor along my Spanish speaking journey.

Coach Jacob is engaging, patient and a wealth of knowledge. He is amazing and the reason I continue my Spanish education with Spanish 55

Spanish55 is an excellent service and way to actually learn Spanish effectively and efficiently. I have been working with Coach Alberto for almost two years and have made stunning progress studying just once a week. Spanish 55 is fantastic. I have worked with two different teachers. Due to my schedule, I had to switch. They were very accomodating to my request. In addition I really wanted to study how to speak with a specific regional accent, Argentinian. Everyone was super iformaitonal & accomodating to that request. Jessica & Jacob are both amazing! Im grateful for my introduction into learning Spanish

Jake is a great teacher, as is the rest of the staff. I just found it very expensive.

I have been with Azucena from Spanish 55 for years and she is an amazing teacher! I have gone from knowing almost no Spanish to being able to hold whole conversations in Spanish. She is a fantastic teacher and her method of teaching has worked really well for me!

Working with Coach Ashley is the best! We talk about my interests and she answered all my questions. She corrects my mistakes and gives me proper / common solutions. I really feel my capabilities and confidence improving. I’ve already purchased the 6-month package!

My Spanish comprehension has increased dramatically over the last 2-3 months especially. I now find myself helping other native English speakers with vocabulary or how to say things in Spanish.
Though I’ve studied Spanish off and on over the years and grew up on the border, I think my Spanish is now the best it has been.
Coach Leslie is a marvel. She’s so patient, friendly, and I enjoy our class times so much. She’s a keeper!
As for Spanish 55, I have nothing but good things to say, so much so that I’ve recommended you to others who wish to improve their Spanish.

So far I’ve had a wonderful experience. Spending time with Jacob (if that’s his real name) is a delight. It’s like spending time with an old friend. He makes me comfortable so I feel less self conscious about learning to speak Spanish. He always has great insights and his mastery of both English and Spanish is amazing, I’m quite jealous (I’ve only had to correct his English pronunciation twice). But for real, he’s the reason I keep coming back. If he didn’t make it fun, or it was “all business all the time” I would have stopped attending a long time ago. He even caters the classes and vocab to topics that interests me. He’s quite the asset to the Spanish55 time. I’m afraid if I give a better review, that he won’t be available for to teach me because he will be so busy with others.

I've been working with Coach Ana for the past 2 years. I'm glad she was assigned as my coach. She is patient and yet understands when having a conversation vs book work is necessary. She explains the curriculum very well and allows the students to use examples and apply the material. She is always ready to answer questions that come up in real life scenarios. I highly recommend Coach Ana to new and existing students who want a coach that has experience and knowledge in teaching Spanish.

Widney is great at customizing my instruction and finding supplemental materials to make sure that I am continuing improving my reading, speaking, and listening skills.

I was skeptical at first of taking online Spanish lessons because I was not sure how the payment process worked or how fast I would be able to build my speaking skills. However, I have been thrilled with the whole process! The payment plans are reasonable and easy to understand. Coach Ana has definitely helped me through my Spanish journey. I have been taking lessons for about 4 years now. When I started I was not a beginner because I had taken Spanish in high school and some in college so I could read and understand a bit. Although, my speaking skills were terrible. Thanks to Coach Ana she has really helped me build my vocabulary and speaking confidence. I can finally have parent teacher conferences in Spanish! This was one of my goals that I wanted to accomplish. Furthermore, Ana is so patient with me. There are times where I really do not understand a new grammar point and we work through it together until I understand it better. Moreover, I love how the lessons build upon each other and brings you back to old grammar points to refresh your memory. I highly recommend Spanish55 to anyone! Give it a try!

Spanish55 is a fantastic company filled with kind, thoughtful, and timely employees. My teacher was Widney. She is nothing short of an amazing teacher and person. Widney is one of the best teachers I have ever had in general. She mixes humor, personality, care, diligence, and knowledge perfectly. Her teaching style is patient (very patient with me in the beginning!), kind, she knows when to interrupt and when to let me finish the sentence before giving corrections. She knows what exercises to assign me to help me the most. I see how much I am progressing everyday because of her help, and it’s crazy to see how far I’ve come since beginning. Learning a new language takes a lot of effort but Widney knows how to make the learning fun too. I highly recommend Spanish55 to students of any level; I have had nothing short of a 5 star experience with them!

I have been with Spanish55 and with Coach Esther for a little more than 2 years. I retired a few years back and decided that it was finally time to learn to speak Spanish.
After retiring I began volunteering at a local shelter. Initially I was only able to work with those that spoke English. Now, routinely I am able to interact with individuals that speak only Spanish. This has allowed me to form rewarding relationships and to be much more effective. The ability to converse in Spanish has opened doors to individuals and cultures that were inaccessible to me previously. This experience has been incredibly rewarding.
I would not have these experiences or opportunities without Spanish55, and more specifically without Coach Esther. She is probably the best teacher that I have ever had the opportunity to work with. She is kind, funny and incredibly organized. She knows when to push and when not to. And it seems that through Spanish55 she has access to endless resources. I can't imagine a better or more efficient way to learn Spanish.

I am an administrator for a local public health agency in a small midwestern town in rural America. I have been managing people and entities for over 30 years. I took Spanish in college, but that was during the Reagan administration. As I tell folks everyday - I am a dinosaur. So why is an old guy like me taking Spanish classes with Spanish55? I believe in service to others, the power of the spoken word and the need to personally engage our fellow man. At work I have people walking through our doors every day in need of services and I am unable to adequately engage them all because of a language barrier. So, let's fix it. I did a little research and found Spanish55. I liked their concept of teaching one-on-one with a personal instructor with flexible scheduling and affordable rates. I signed up and was assigned to Widney as my teacher. I use teacher as that is exactly what she is – a teacher. From day one I was struck by her patience, kindness, knowledge, and ability. She has taken me on a journey not only through learning the language but also the culture and history surrounding it. I don’t know how she remains so positive and encouraging after teaching a dinosaur like me over the course of this past year, but she is as kind and patient with me today as she was day one. Let me say this, as patient as she is with me, she also pushes me to learn each class, which is exactly what I wanted. Widney and Spanish55 have been an awesome experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is seeking a challenge and has a desire to learn regardless of your age or aptitude. It works.

Coach Libny was amazing. The classes are well structured, the pace adjusts as you go through the lessons which was very helpful when certain topics needed to be repeated to fully learn them. I am well on my journey to being fluent and attribute it to Spanish55. I tried many other methods before this and nothing beats one on one training. Highly recommended.

I spent many years studying on my own without becoming proficient. After a little under 2 years with Spanish55 I now have conversational skills and am on my way to fluency. Sofia is an excellent teacher
