Coach Esther for the win!
I have been learning Spanish with Coach Esther for more than a year and have enjoyed every class! Esther makes learning fun and engaging, and has endless patience with my mistakes, confusion and frustrations. I have recently returned from a trip to Colombia, and I was able to safely navigate my way in large part due to the great classes I have had with Coach Esther. Patience, skill, and guidance. Although my literacy could always use improvement, what I appreciate with Alberto is a willingness to also teach some of the subtle colloquialisms of the language and put up with some of my esoteric questions about word origins.

Coach Jacob’s Importance in my Spanish Journey
I’ve been wanting to learn Spanish for a long time, just as a personal goal. Learning Spanish became even more important as an Army Reservist when I was assigned at a unit in Puerto Rico. Coach Jacob has been an integral part of my Spanish journey. I probably would have given up on Spanish if I did not meet Coach Jacob. He truly cares about his students and you can see his passion for teaching in each lesson. I’m so grateful that I signed up for Spanish55 and even more grateful that Spanish55 assigned me Coach Jacob. His lesson plans are well structured and creative. He’s gone over and beyond for each students’ needs. For example, he realized that I would probably learn Spanish with more relatable material so instead of using the prepared books, he created a lesson plan from scratch based off my favorite shows (The Office and Game of Thrones). I’ve learned so much about Spanish since becoming a student of Coach Jacob’s. He’s incredibly professional and always on time. On top of being professional, Coach Jacob has a relatable personality which makes the learning environment comfortable. I’ve been able to use my Spanish skills while drilling in Puerto Rico and vacationing in Mexico. I’m very thankful for the skills I’ve obtained from Spanish55. I highly recommend Coach Jacob from Spanish55 to everyone!

Fred’s Spanish55 Experience.
Basically, it all boils down to the instruction. My instructor, Monica, is a walking encyclopedia. All of my questions are always answered. Just as important as the knowledge is the rapport that I have with her. She’s genuinely interested in our conversations, and that makes the Spanish language come alive beyond the facts and information. Talking to native speakers is always good, but talking to one who can answer all of your questions, correct all of your mistakes, and is interesting to talk to is like gold.

No Regrets!
I have found Spanish 55 to be a great experience. And my coach, Jacob, has been amazing to work with. They have a wealth of tools that my coach uses with me that are personalized to what I’m interested in learning. Scheduling is easy and when I do need to reschedule I can find times that work in my busy schedule. Jacob is very patient but pushes me in the right ways. I highly recommend this program and Jacob - no reason to be nervous about this program because they will be sure it meets your personal needs!

I have had a great experience with Coach Sofia
I have had a great experience with Spanish 55. It is great to be able to pick the times for my lessons around my own schedule. Although I didn’t start as a beginner, my sessions with Coach Sofia have greatly improved my comprehension and speaking ability. Sofia is a wonderful teacher…she is friendly, patient, and really takes into account my interests when planning conversations and activities. She helps me learn new words and phrases that connect to current events and things going on in my own life. I feel that my comprehension with the speed and flow of a conversation has definitely improved as well as my ability to “think on my feet” to contribute to our conversations. I have been able to use what I have learned while traveling and also in my secondary classroom with English Language Learners. I highly recommend Spanish 55 and Coach Sofia. I look forward to my sessions weekly!

Coach Alberto is the absolute best!
I have been working with coach Alberto for almost three years now and he is different from all of the other teachers that I've ever had because not only does he see where you are in your progress and knows how to challenge you at the next step, but he speaks perfect English and is able to clear up any confusion or miscommunication if you get snagged on a particular problem. He can literally answer any question that I have as I like to know "Why is this like this?" or "how does the grammar work in this?", and other questions that not just any professor can answer in a way I can understand (a rare find in a language teacher, believe me!). He has the perfect balance of correcting you but not interrupting your thoughts. There are a lot of teachers that can converse with you, a lot of teachers that can be patient with you, and there are a lot of teachers that can teach you, but rarely can you find that combination all in one person. Coach Alberto is a wise teacher and astutely perceives where you need the most help within every session. Like a jedi, he then tailors his lesson to whatever mistakes he perceives needs the most attention. I live in an area where I do not have a lot of Spanish speaking people and he has been my lifeline to help maintain and grow my fluency despite my incredibly busy life and demanding full time job. I have seen my conversational skills and confidence grow with his teaching. I have had a long journey of at least six years with trying to learn Spanish fluently as an adult and I can honestly say that after trying multiple teachers (at other places) and completing an undergraduate degree in Spanish through a university, I have accomplished more with this professor than any of my other endeavors, including the undergraduate degree. He is always professional, always prompt, always perceptive, and always kind. He is the best Spanish teacher I have ever had, and I only wish that I had started working with him much earlier! Scheduling lessons is super easy and the team at Spanish 55 are always helpful and nice.

I have been trying to learn Spanish on-line for 4 years, but not until I started working with Coach Marisela did I see any improvement. She is very patient, and always takes the time to answer my questions. I have become much more confidence in speaking Spanish when I travel to Spanish speaking countries.

I have been trying to learn Spanish for years now, and a few years ago I discovered Spanish 55 and Coach Alberto! He is the best Spanish tutor I've ever worked with, he is extremely patient a good listener, and has great methods of explaining and teaching things to you. Wonderful experience
I’ve been trying to learn Spanish for years now, previously trying different apps, but I never saw much improvement. Spanish55 has made learning Spanish so much easier and enjoyable. I feel so much more comfortable in my ability to speak and listen because we spend the lessons practicing both of these skills. Coach Azucena is incredibly patient, is an amazing teacher, and is all around wonderful to work with. I look forward to our lessons each week and getting to know her more throughout our lessons. I have been taking lessons for several…
I have been taking lessons for several years under the tutelage of Coach Azucena. Coach Azucena has been very diligent in helping me learn Spanish over the last several years. I am more confident in using my conversational Spanish for work and in my daily life with my Spanish speaking friends and family. I have noticed, as have friends and family, that my Spanish speaking has vastly improved and the credit goes to Coach Azucena and Spanish 55. Coach Azucena always has new exercises and ways for me to practice and grow and she will tailor conversations and lessons to my interests and requests especially when I have difficulty with new tenses. Being able to use new tenses and vocabulary in conversation ,especially about things I am genuinely interested in, has made an enormous difference in my ability to learn and retain all the lessons and teachings. I would recommend the Spanish55 program to anyone trying to seriously learn the language without any hesitation. I cannot compliment all the staff and program enough. The scheduling staff, the teachers and everyone involved in the program are helpful and have made me happy to continue lessons. I have the same day and lesson time every week and aside from holidays or emergencies I never miss a lesson because I really enjoy learning with Coach Azucena and the Spanish 55 program.

Great experience working with Coach Jake
I work with Coach Jake and he is an excellent Spanish teacher. He takes my goals into account for lesson planning, tailors lessons, and has helped me go from knowing basically no Spanish to being able to go on vacation and speak almost entirely in Spanish in just 2 years!

Love my coach!
My coach (Coach Ana) is wonderful! She is very patient with me, imparts a lot of useful information, and is great at answering my questions. I started out panicking whenever I had to open my mouth, and have progressed to a point where I am comfortable trying things out. I feel like I have come a long way in a relatively short time.
