Giovanna is a skilled and passionate coach, who has worked with me over years to develop my confidence speaking and understanding Spanish. My family has often remarked on my progress and shared gratitude for my dedication to learning. I enjoy learning with Giovanna and using Spanish daily with my wife and son. This experience has been remarkable for me and I'm excited to continue the journey.

As I have said in the past, Giovanna is very good as a teacher, she is very patient. She is good at getting me talking. I enjoy my time with her.

I've been with Spanish 55 since April and it has been a game changer! I look forward to my sessions every week. I took three years of Spanish in high school and a few courses in college so I know the basics, but I could never make much progress in speaking with confidence. Coach Jessica is patient, kind and very knowledgable. I'm not fluent yet but I am making progress, little by little, and having a coach like her has been very helpful and motivating! In just a few months, I've learned new words, new concepts and my comprehension is a lot better. Most importantly, I am not afraid to make mistakes. Before, I would feel self conscious about it. Now, I realize, as Coach Jessica taught me, the only way to learn is TO SPEAK! And it's okay to make mistakes. It's all part of the process. I've got a long way to go but I am confident that Spanish 55 will help me reach my goals. If you are serious about learning Spanish, this service will help you. My teachers Diomendes and Ashley are really good. Very professional. Always on time and well equipped with all teaching tools and methods to get the most out of a lesson. I know I could get cheaper teachers on some apps like Italki, but I am a professional who values my time and needs a consistently good service for the time I am investing in my Spanish. I have found all teachers at Spanish 55 are also highly professional and knowledgeable.

My coach is great and I feel like I am making slow and steady progress every week. I really enjoy my sessions and look forward to them.

Oscar is a very intuitive instructor. I find that he always strikes the right balance between conversing about daily life and structured lessons. His personality puts me at ease making it easier to try new words or phrases, make mistakes, receive respectful feedback and therefore continue to advance my knowledge of the Spanish language.

Atenea (my coach) is awesome! She’s patient, clear, well organized, fun to talk to, and always has tricks up her sleeve to help me learn.

Spanish was my second foreign language I learned during college, and my level was between beginner and intermediate. I always want to continuously improve it to the next level. I had tried learning by myself or language exchange with other Spanish-speaking friends. It helped a bit but couldn't go on consistently. Finally, I decided to try tutoring with Spanish 55 and I have been working with Coach Oscar over the last 5 months. Since I like Latino music, Coach Oscar would recommend some of his favorite singers or groups. And during our session, we'd go through some of the music lyrics and this helped me better understand the music, improve my Spanish, and also have an culture exchange. I am about to finish my first book, and I have already gotten my second book for the class and look forward to learn more with Coach Oscar.

I’m a 40(ish) year old fireman who had basically zero Spanish experience before Spanish 55. Well, almost zero, I had attempted two Spanish classes in the past, but dropped out after both the teachers told me that maybe foreign language isn’t for me. But I didn’t give up, I attempted Rosetta Stone, 3 separate times, failing miserably each time. Nothing against Rosetta Stone, but there is no way someone like me can learn Spanish from that program. So during the lockdown I thought I would give it one more try, and after a little research I found Spanish 55 and coach Ana.
It’s been super helpful, I’m definitely not fluent but I know now that I will get there at some point. Coach Ana is so friendly, patient and most importantly non judgmental.😎. Shes a great teacher. I’m progressing slowly, and I really enjoy learning Spanish, which I’m hoping is half the battle. I subscribe to the 4 classes a month program but if I had a more open schedule I would definitely take more classes. I can’t recommend the program more. If you don’t have time to take in person class and want to learn Spanish, Spanish 55 is the way to go.

I have been taking Spanish lessons with Spanish55 since 2021. I have been with my coach, Paula, since December 2021. I believe her teaching and understanding is why I have continued to pursue my goal of learning to speak Spanish. Coach Paula is able to see where I am struggling and supplement additional work to help me fully understand, as needed. She is encouraging when I become frustrated, celebrates small and big victories with me, is understanding when I become overwhelmed and truly cares about my learning experience. I think Coach Paula may know me better than I know myself! I am proud of how far I have come, but it wouldn't be possible without Coach Paula.

I found Spanish55 after an internet search. I was happy to find one on one learning that had a flexible schedule and fit within my budget. I took 3 years of Spanish in high school, but none of it stuck, so I started with the very basics again. I have learned so much! All of my friends have used other modalities to learn, and they have noted how I have exceeded their learning progress, which is due to the personalizations my coach has implemented into my learning.

I have been a student of Coach Francis for over three years. When I signed up for a free trial lesson with Spanish55 in 2021 after stumbling upon the program with an internet search, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I am SO glad that I took this jump to improve my Spanish. I studied Spanish in school, including having a Spanish minor in college. Although I knew a lot of Spanish, I still struggled to speak and listen, especially over the phone and when people were speaking fast. I am a teacher and want to support my Hispanic students and their families. Enrolling in Spanish55 has made me more comfortable with speaking and listening. I am 100% sure that my Spanish has improved. Coach Francis tailors the lessons to me, which is much different than my experience as a regular student in a class of 20 or more. We have worked specifically on Spanish for educators and any other topics that interest me or are challenging to me. Francis is patient; she points out my mistakes with kindness to help me grow. We have formed a friendship over my three years of working with her, and I have no plans of quitting! I am enjoying my weekly lessons and continue to learn and improve. Spanish55 is a worthwhile investment, the best way I've found to practice Spanish when travel or total immersion are not feasible. I highly recommend Coach Francis and Spanish55.

I did extensive research on in-person and online Spanish courses. I was looking for a one-on-one experience, as opposed to group sessions. I'm glad I selected Spanish55. First, my Coach Giovanna is outstanding. Second, given my lifestyle, Spanish55 offers great flexibility in scheduling my classes. I would highly recommend Spanish55 to anyone looking to increase their Spanish language skills

Coach Sofía es excelente. Su manera de enseñar sirve muy bien para mí. Siempre me siento muy cómodo con ella, y eso me da la confianza para hablar sin miedo de cometer errores--y aprendo mucho de mis propios errores. I had a B1 level before I started my lessons with Spanish55 and, like probably every student, I felt like I wasn't really making any progress with my Spanish skills. The individual training definitely helped me to have conversations in Spanish and gave me the confidence to use these skills in my everyday life. My teacher Atenea was and still is a great support on this path. She knows what training is necessary and how to take me step by step further towards my goal of reaching the next levels. The classes are a mix of everyday and casual conversations to working through our lessons from the textbook. I really appreciate her calm manner and the fact that she never loses focus and identifies and corrects any of my mistakes, whether grammatical or pronunciation. I can only recommend my coach Atenea and Spanish55 and look forward to my further progress in this program.

I am a retired educator and decided to learn Spanish because I live in Florida where many people speak Spanish and also my wife and I love to travel. I have truly enjoyed all of my lessons with Giovanna. She is very well organized and very systematic in her approach to teaching Spanish. Not only does she present new materials, but also spends time reviewing skills that have been presented before, but not necessarily mastered. Her lessons are always very interesting and fun. My 55 minutes with her seems more like interacting with a friend than a language class. In addition to the vocabulary building and grammar that one would expect in a language class. her lessons are also filled with information on the food, culture, festivals, and traditions of Mexico and Central America which I find fascinating. She has inspired and given my wife and I the confidence to visit several Central and South American countries, as well as Mexico, on two different occasions. We have been very pleased to be able to use our Spanish skills while interacting with the local community. it is also nice to be able to speak with the Spanish-speaking people that live and work in our area. Spanish 55 with Coach Giovanna has been a extremely positive and rewarding experience, which I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to be a part of every week . I look forward to our next lesson and continuing to learn more Spanish with the help of Coach Giovanna.

My coach, Flor, is outstanding! Flor works with me to plan my sessions so that they lead to effective learning and advancement on my part. Flor is always upbeat and encouraging; her positive attitude and wonderful sense of humor motivate me to continue on my Spanish learning journey.

Ana is an amazing teacher! She is very patient and really nice. She takes her time explaining things to me and always asks me if I have any questions. I feel very comfortable with her and she is the reason I have been having lessons with Spanish55 for over a year now. She is also very knowledgable, smart and funny. I hope to keep taking lessons with her for a long time to come.
