Great value and customer service
Slightly iffy quality control is made up for by good value and customer service. I've had three different Ride1UP bikes now. The first two went totally smoothly, but my new Vorsa had an 'error 30' after assembling it. This can be a bit scary in the world of DTC ebikes, but their support was able to send out a replacement controller and then a replacement screen that ended up fixing the issue. They were also helpful in the past when I needed an out-of-stock replacement part for my Prodigy V1.
Would've been nice if my new Vorsa had worked perfectly out of the box, but their support was super helpful in getting out replacement parts with no fuss, and the bike is great (and great value) now that it's working. And I have a spare controller now lol.
Excellent company, excellent bike
After researching different foldable ebikes, I ordered the Portola from Ride1Up. The bicycle arrived very quickly and my husband put it together in about 40 minutes. Then we went for our first ride. I love this bicycle!! I can get it in and out of the car myself, and it has quite a few bells and whistles that I didn't expect. And the team at Ride1Up was excellent to work with when I goofed up the order. They were flexible and went above and beyond to help me. I highly recommend Ride1Up - and hope my husband will order his new Ride1Up bike soon.

- I recently fell off my bike when braking, the bike skidded. A bike org review of the tyre shows that it’s got lack of traction in the wet. I emailed Ride1Up about this requesting different tyres more suited to the wet, and they offered no compensation, noting they are not used to the wet in San Diego.

- I almost lost control on a commute. As such I would recommend testing the brakes and getting comfortable with them. In my case braking semi-firm (not hard) seems to slow the bike quickly but not wobble the bike.

I had the 700 Series for 4.5 years and ridden about 5000 miles on it. The battery is still strong, and no parts have ever shaken loose. I am looking forward to buying another bike from Ride1Up once I sell this one.
The EQUALIZER.
This bike feels like it was built for me. The pedal assist helps me get up hills and allows me to ride alongside my husband, who is a stronger rider. Shifting, braking, and moving up and down the levels of pedal assist is easy and smooth. We appreciate the torque wrench and tools that arrived with the bike! Nice touch!
Ride 1 Up
We purchased two ride one up 700 series bicycles. I’ve only owned them a couple of months and one of the back straps came off. Ride one up doesn’t carry this part. I was told when I purchased these bicycles that I could get every replacement part from them I needed. I would be aware of purchasing a bicycle when the company cannot provide replacement parts. 😡 and on top of it I’ve owned these bikes about three months and they are now discontinued. Great.
Bought a Turris ST...brake problem
Bought a Turris ST. It's a nice bike, easy to assemble,
...BUT...Arrived with front brake working poorly, badly adjusted. If regular caliper brakes I would adjust it in 30 seconds.
Called/emailed customer service. They HAVE NO customer service, said go get it fixed. I did, cost $50.00 + tax to have both brakes bled/adjusted, now works fine. If you buy one and have a major problem, throw it out. They will leave you to twist in the wind.
Disappointing Experience with Bike Quality and Customer Service
Just wanted to share my experience with this brand for the awareness of potential buyers.
I bought a brand new bike(CF Racer 1) expecting it to be ready to ride without any issues, but I encountered a persistent clicking noise in the drivetrain. Despite putting over 20 miles on it, thinking it might just need to be broken in, the problem never went away. What’s disappointing is that, being a new bike, I didn’t expect to deal with derailleur adjustments right off the bat.
Other bike brands I’ve dealt with have been much quicker in handling issues and are even willing to offer significant discounts when customers run into inconveniences. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here. Their handling of my concern left me disappointed, and I hope others don’t experience the same.
If you’re considering this brand, just be aware that the customer service might not be as responsive or accommodating as you'd expect, especially if you encounter issues with your purchase.
Poor Customer Service
Great bikes, but when we purchased new replacement batteries, we received defective batteries. Initial batteries that came with the bikes averaged 40 to 50 miles per charge. Using the bikes under the same conditions but using them less, the replacement batteries from day one averaged 30 to 35 miles per charge. Obviously defected. Ride1Up not willing to do anything about this. Basically paid for 2 batteries, that are half as good as the original batteries that came with the ebikes
Great bike and great customer service
I recently purchased the Roadster V3 ebike. I have since used it daily, and can confidently say it is a joy to ride! The motor is incredibly quiet, smooth, and fast. The battery is small, but enough for my daily commute and then some (even on the highest setting). The smaller battery also makes the bike incredibly light - something I'm very grateful for on the occasional instances when I have to carry the bike, up some steps or otherwise. Initially, due to the common carelessness of FedEx, my bike had some defects. However, Ride1Up's warranty is ironclad - without much hassle they fully compensated me for the cost of fixing the bike at a local bike shop - despite the shop charging far more than industry average (as the only one in my area, I guess they can name their prices). In summary, a fantastic bike with quality parts, delivering a smooth ride, in addition to a very helpful and responsive customer service. Strong recommend!

Cafe Cruiser great for cruising around town
I purchased my Cafe Cruiser two months ago and after 600 miles I’m still loving it! I get the advertised 30 through 50 mile range from a full battery. The bike is very comfortable, I enjoy the upright position. The bike was packaged well and arrived undamaged in a timely manner. Assembly was straightforward and I had no issues. The instructional videos were helpful. I’ve been using the Cafe Cruiser for commuting, but it’s so fun to ride that I’ve done some longer rides too. The Cafe Cruiser performed well on 40 miles rides and could easily make it to the advertised 50 miles on level terrain. I’ve contacted customer support a few times and they have been quick to respond and helpful. For cruising around town the Cafe Cruiser is great! I would definitely consider Ride1Up if I ever purchase another e-bike.

Poor packaging & bad customer service.
Well, this was one of the worst purchase experiences in a while due to extremely poor packaging and handling from Fedex... The box was beat to hell and items were flopping around loose inside, parts banging and rubbing and missing two parts (crank bolt & lock ring) so I could not finish assembly...Very disappointing to spend $1500 bucks on this mess (I could justify it if it was $500, Amazon special)
Customer service was surprisingly at a Walmart level and after multiple emails back and forth they stopped communication because it was after 5pm (closing time).... They didn’t read my emails and seemed to care less about all the issues.
The $250 restock threat for refused delivery is a crock and a weak scare tactic. You are within your rights to refuse a package that is visibly damaged when delivered, that's the point of it.
I will be disassembling what I wasted an hour and a half on, throwing it back in the box and sending it all back. Honestly, it’s a shame because it appears to be a nice bike but In my experience when things don’t start off good it's a bad sign.

Ride1up Portola
I bought a Portola for my wife’s birthday when they were on sale for Father’s Day and I was pleasantly surprised when I put it together. We have looked at 5-6 other bikes over the past two years and the quality of this bike compared to other brands we looked at is 1up 😜. It has features that rival bikes that are 2-3x the price. I am now looking at getting one for myself but the Portola is a little small for me (6’4” 225) so I will be getting the Rift most likely. - The welded/integrated racks are a huge selling point for us. Being able to hold 150lbs on the passenger kit and have our kids ride with us will be great. Thanks Ride1up!

My Portola E-bike from Ride1up has changed my life for the better. I love everything about it. I used to commute by car but it was totaled a few months back and I was over dealing with all the parking problems and broken windows in Seattle.
Since getting my bike I have felt happier and lost weight from using it. The bike itself is durable, easy to use, fast, the battery isn’t amazing but it’s great for what I need, and it feels safer than using public transportation, especially at night. I’m so happy I changed to using an e-bike. I feel like a kid again riding my bike.
