My second time using Britannia windows. Once for a large Bi-fold door and now for a back door and small window.
Excellent service and workmanship and definitely the most reasonably priced around.
They don’t have that rip-off salesperson mentality, just give you a fair price from the start and do a professional job.
Highly recommended.

Local firm ruined by new owner.

Long story, choose Otter Windows as like to support local business. PLEASE note this is no longer a local business and it is Britannia Windows as they bought.

Simple job, install French doors, remove some brickwork, and our builder would tidy up.

First visit, measure up, agree on what we want, and receive a price and agree.

Second visit, surveyor visits, second measure, and they order glass/doors etc.

Third visit they come to fit, take down bricks etc and then measure what materials they came with. They don't fit, and either the surveyor or the manufacturer made them incorrectly. The fitters were not local and didn't care, rude to me and the builder when the builder explained what Otter had agreed to do. The fitter stood smoking in the garden with zero respect or interest. Left with wooden board, no daylight and mess in garden.

They leave, had to go to Bristol to get materials, that is another day and then someone arrives with glass but forgot the handles/keys.

Finally, a local fitter is used (great guy), worked all Saturday, but they sent him with the wrong trim, he has to drive for an hour to get it (but can't get all of it), and then works to correct all original brickwork errors and refits the door as work is so poor. Due to the orignal work being poor, lots of brick dust so another full clean of kitchen needed (not this fitters fault as did great work to correct initial mess).

We then wait another week, and the trim arrives and is fitted. There were numerous calls and emails, and the project took 5 weeks from start to finish.

This is a small job and not complex. After a long delay and shocking work, we received the final invoice. No offer of reduction, registered a complaint, and offered £145 off if accepted within 7 days. I think around 2.5% reduction, they make you pay nearly all costs upfront.

Does the management team call? Of course not, we received great support from the local office throughout, but they get left to deal with customers when management makes mistakes.

I run a business, and when things go wrong (they do!), I will call my customers and discuss a resolution and say the magic word sorry.

100% would avoid at all costs, my local window fitter came this week to adjust patio doors at a different property and explained he is currently fixing lots of Otter Window issues.

Always sad when a local firm with an excellent reputation is ruined by a larger corporate company.

This wasn’t a big job however of two of two windows ordered were faulty both are over an inch too short now my house has been bashed around and I am still without two new windows that I paid for to top it off after requesting a refund for the faulty goods and loosing all trust in this company they have tried to refuse to give me my money back.

They also informed me after I had to ask multiple times what their “reasonable timeframe” is for replacement and was informed this is a mere 16 weeks!!!!! I am still waiting for a response to my reply that 16 weeks after they sent out faulty incorrect windows and have left my home now insecure what a realistic reasonable timeframe is. Yet they have found the time to respond to this review??!!! Says it all really

Now I’m going to have to head to citizens advice and trading standards to resolve this.

Abysmal embarrassment of a company that pride themselves of professionalism and good service

Excellent workmanship. Lee, Britannia’s fitter was amazing. Best craftsman we’ve seen in the last two years of renovating areas of our house. Friendly, fast worker and an absolute stickler for perfection. Wish he was a builder and decorater, we’d never go anywhere else. Britannia came in with competitive prices, quoted for what we asked for (others tried a lot of upselling!) and kept us informed every step of the way. 100% recommend Britannia Windows….Quality!

So I required two floor to ceiling windows and patio doors for a new build. The quote i received from CTG was very competitive, and, included full fitting. I was told there was a six week lead time, but I needed them like yesterday because I had cladding to install ASAP. CTG moved mountains and got the units made and installed in just over 2 weeks, amazing service and a superb quality product. I have used them before for a conservatory over 20 years ago. The conservatory proved outstanding and required zero attention in all that time, it's still going strong for the new owners 2 years on. Thanks CTG 😊

Tim and Fred fitted our windows and doors. They are very, very good and able to deal with any problems that come up without any delay. Would highly recommend them.

Avoid this company. Absolute shambles of a company. Lacked communication, poor fitting by sloppy fitters who spend most of their time slacking and not working, when they did work they did an awful job that they had to resend numerous other fitters to fix the issues. Which were 'fixed' using poor materials and their fitting is awful. We regret using this company.

No internal communication. Raised we wanted to speak to someone senior in the company but our point of contact has not acknowledged this and ignored our numerous requests.

Our experience with Britannia Windows was excellent. Our installation date was even brought forward by two weeks which was great. Our new front door and bathroom window were fitted yesterday and we couldn’t be happier. We would definitely recommend and will certainly use them again.

My Brittania experience started with a visit to the showroom in Chandlers Ford. We knew we wanted new windows and doors, but hadn't put much thought into the detail. That's where we met Sam. She gave us plenty of good, practical advice to help us make the right decisions. Throughout the process, Sam was happy to help with any further questions or changes. After the intial order, the surveyor - Bob came round to finalise and confirm measurements and details. At this point, we made a change to the colour of both windows and doors which was not a problem, the amendment was dealt with quickly and easily. A few weeks later we got our fitting day and as expected, the boys - Callum and Jake were on time, polite and very hard working. They cleaned up as they worked and were a pleasure to have in our home. We went for slate grey windows and doors, and we are delighted with them. Tia managed our installation from the office and was also very helpful. The whole team has looked after us and we highly recommend Brittania. Their approach was refreshing - no pushy sales pitch, helpful and honest team, and the two fitters were a proper double act! Well done Brittania and thank you.

From the first contact with Britannia Windows all went smoothly, no delays, and their quote was half of a national company.

Paul wilkinson was a great help! Came out, very friendly and upbeat. No pressure to sign on that day, went to the showroom a week later to view the quality. Door is now on order! Super excited. Thanks again Paul! ☺️

Finally, after 10 month of waiting my faulty door lock mechanism has been replaced, so at last I am happy.
BW products and installs are good but they let themselves down with poor after sales support.

I am very happy with the work carried out by Britannia windows, on the 20th of August from the initial quote by George who was very helpful and informative to the actual fitting of the window and the guys did a very good job and left it perfect.would highly recommend them.

Just had my third lot of work done by Britannia, this time a conservatory which I am absolutely delighted with. George (sales) was brilliant, Bob (surveyor) as usual so meticulous and this time I had Andy and Blake carry out the work. They were so helpful, all work done with extreme care, friendly and polite both of them and absolute credit to the company. Glad to say I won't be using Britannia again as all windows, doors and conservatory replaced but I would and indeed have already recommended them to a neighbour who has now booked with them for window replacements.

Overall, my experience with Britannia Windows was fairly positive, but with a few frustrations.

Communication was good throughout the process. The salesman who came to give me a quotation was very helpful, made good suggestions, and even price-matched a cheaper competitor for me, which I appreciated.

The installation team turned up on time and completed the work on schedule. I had 8 windows and both my front and back doors replaced. Seven of the windows were fitted well, but one window was a different story – the fitter had moved the internal sill forward, leaving a large gap. Instead of addressing it properly, they initially tried to cover it with about an inch of caulking, which was disappointing to see. I pointed it out, and they did come back on the final day to fix it, but the caulking is now messy and I’ll need to redo it myself. Not a huge issue, but it felt a bit insulting that they attempted to hide the mistake instead of sorting it correctly the first time.

The front and back doors were both stiff straight after installation. To their credit, Britannia responded quickly when I reported this. The front door was fixed without any issues, but the back door was left unresolved. The fitter said it was “normal,” but I later discovered the top strike plate had actually been installed backwards – which explained the stiffness.

So, while I am somewhat happy with the overall job, there were corners cut and small issues that let the experience down. If you go with Britannia, just keep an eye on the details during installation.

Paul Wilkinson came to measure up our windows and discuss options with us. Absolutely wonderful man, and very helpful. Very happy with the two windows installed (having not bought windows before). So much so we are now coming back to Britannia to install a new window with them.

I had 2 windows fitted recently from Britannia Windows BRISTOL - the fitter Marc Glynn did a top class job!

Firstly George came round to price up my new French doors, he was great, then Sharon always spoke to me on the phone giving me updates and information so great again. Dave and Pete fitted my French doors perfectly so I would recommend all of them. Thank you.
