Please do not use this company or buy their products. Bought the RocwooD 51cm / 20" Self Propelled 173cc Petrol Mulching Lawnmower for £246.99 last summer. Straight away the cord pull was jamming, but I hoped it just needed bedding in and would become more fluid. Big mistake. I was able to eventually get it started for a couple of mows. Then it completely locked.

Unfortunately, this was now outside the Rocwood 60 day warranty and they would only help once I paid to dismantle, drain and ship it back to them. The instructions made it pretty clear that Rocwood would use any excuse not to collect the mower from the depot (traces of oil or petrol - in a petrol mower!). I wrote it off at that point as just a bad buy and bought another from a reputable company, which has been superb.

My son in law needed a petrol mower this year and thought he would try it. When he phoned the local Garden Machinery company to arrange a service the owner just laughed as soon as he heard 'Rocwood'. He said he would look at it, but was unlikely to charge for a service as he described previous experiences with Rocwood as "utter trash". My SIL persevered, took it to them but the chap in the shop would not accept it for a service after he checked it, as he believed it was a waste of time and money even attempting to repair this mower, or indeed any Rocwood products.

I don't want any sort of refund, I write this purely to warn other potential buyers that these mowers, whilst cheap and flimsy, are not worth approximately £100 an hours worth of use before they give up the ghost. Warranty is a joke and customer service is pathetic. Please avoid.

Delivery was as expected very good,
however the instructions for fitting need a little tweak, other than that all good.

For a company that claims to be a leader of tools ect their customer service is pathetic. They don’t have a customer service telephone service. They haven’t responded to a email sent concerning a missing charger for the pressure washer so… Electric start is non existent as we can’t charge the battery and there is no details anywhere on the web showing any parts whatsoever. They claim that they are on facebook / instagram/ twitter ect but they don’t show up on any platform. I did eventually find a telephone number but the woman who answered was as much use as chocolate mug. Refused to allow me to speak to anyone whatsoever and acted like hitler.. Her was or no way which was like it or lump it.. Would I purchase another Rocwood product. NOT IN A HELLS CHANCE.

First time of using my pressure washer the hose rubbed against part of the frame work and after a hour and half of use a hole appeared. This fault was not covered under warranty so l had to buy a replacement hose for £30.
