Had a fantastic and easy experience buying my BMW i5 from Williams BMW in Liverpool. Great relaxing and efficient service from James with the sale. Excellent aftercare and communication from Ahmed with a few finance nuances. Very easy, friendly process. Great communication. Great car. Great people. I’ll be back in 4 years or less!
Service Requirements
My BMW tells me when I need any form of service but approaching that time, I am hit by emails, texts and phone calls pestering me to book the service. I am able to read and understand the mileage before the service is required but am pestered by Williams.
It has reached the stage where I have blocked them and am going elsewhere.
Outstanding 5* - used iX purchase from Williams Liverpool
Outstanding service from start to finish, purchased an approved used BMW iX from Williams Liverpool. Excellent customer service from Mike Jones, thank you for an easy, professional experience. The coffee is also excellent, and cake! Loved the car tutorial on pick up, and the little touches of William the teddy bear and complimentary umbrellas in the boot, all adds to the excellent customer experience. Thanks guys.
I recently took my BMW 5 Series in for…
I recently took my BMW 5 Series in for a standard oil service, but the experience was deeply disappointing. After dropping the car off, I was called and told the car had a DPF sensor fault and broken screen wash.
There are three main issues I'd like to highlight:
• Inaccurate Diagnostics: After I questioned the "faulty" screen wash, the advisor checked again and admitted they were working fine.
• Contradictory Information: I was told the DPF light was on when I arrived; it was not. I was then quoted over £400 to fix a fault that only appeared once the car was in their care.
• Poor Attention to Detail: The promised interior and exterior clean was completely overlooked. So in summary my car has warning light illuminated on the dash that wasn’t there before after I have paid fir a service!
I will not be returning.
Avoid them if you can
Every interaction I've had with Williams Liverpool has ended in disappointment.
In my experience I've found them to be unhelpful, slow, often rude, and to use unethical practices.
They make mistakes, don't follow up on promises made and just don't seem to care.
Liverpool
Sales process so far has been clear and professional, and the figures in the agreement appear consistent. Communication has also been very good throughout, and Steve in particular has been excellent to deal with. He has been helpful, responsive, and has made the process much easier. I will update further after delivery and after spending some time with the vehicle.

I had my bmw x5 repaired here I revived a call telling me my car was ready for collection upon arrival I immediately noticed that they had fitted the wrong wheel to my car (mine are Matt silver they fitted a diamond cut with a grey background) to which they said take the car it will only be temporary and this will get sorted asap months pass and after multiple calls and getting nothing back off them they eventually purposely started ignoring my calls all together even ignoring my insurance after they tried contacting them! Left me with odd wheels and didn’t even fit my rear door properly Iv had to have repaired else where out of my own pocket how these issues passed there quality control is beyond me Embarrassing to say the least if you have the chance to go elsewhere I highly recommend you do !
Where to begin in this epic saga- First Step AVOID this company
Where to begin in this epic saga.. Bottom line, they have a flash office, wear nice suits and offer free coffee but the used car sales people are no different to any other back street garage. Not to be trusted.
Hidden pre existing damage on my vehicle. Bald tyres (2 of them) missing features we were assured the vehicle have- response was ‘our mistake, nothing we can do about it’.
Uphill struggle to get them to fix the hidden damage.
Advised we damaged the alloys when I dropped the vehicle off at the service centre for repairs- little did they know I took images of my vehicle (major trust issues with this company) at time of drop off inc wheels which had no damage to them.
Finally fixed the hidden damage, car back home, a lot of paint overspray all over the vehicle.
Complaints to Williams, BMW UK (who don’t read complaints and tell you to go back to Williams despite already issuing them with several complaints) Williams CEO (no response, must be playing golf or counting his money) and a complaint now ready to be issued to the finance company.
They also recommended an EV installer- Left the job is a dangerous way- a lot of pressure to use their installer but when it goes wrong they have no interest.
I will never step foot in to a WILLIAMS BMW garage ever again. 19 years, 6 vehicles from them.
BMW IX 6 months old
BMW IX 6 months old, steering rack / suspension issue, £10k to repair a bush / sensor. Told my warranty was void due to driving over speed bumps. Liverpool staff are vile.
The worst customer experience ever
The worst customer experience ever. The place is run by a bunch of bigots and liars. Not only was the customer service poor but my vehicle sustained extensive damage to both the exterior and interior, none of which was present at the time of handover. Externally, the vehicle had been badly scuffed and damaged along the rear side, including the rear bumper, taillights, and rear quarter panels, as well as the nearside (passenger side), including the wing mirror and spoiler. Internally, there were splatters of white paint throughout the cabin, including on door handles, along with visible scuffing and damage to the leather seats. The boot/trunk area was also left damaged and marked.
These damages were clearly caused while the vehicle was in the custody and control of Williams Liverpool BMW. The subsequent attempts to deny responsibility and, in my view, obscure the origin of this damage have only compounded the matter.
Overall, this experience has been deeply distressing and intimidating. It demonstrates a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, integrity. Stay away from this company.
Suck the manager and the liars there u…manager is 1 arrogant person absolutely disgusting
Suck the manager and the liars there u damage my car and thyed to blame it on me u couldn't provide cctv even u have 4 cameras im absolutely discussed
Every time I’ve gone the service centre…
Every time I’ve gone the service centre in Liverpool always a bad experience the staff have no customer service skills, downright rude, sit on their phones while your waiting, no recognition I’m just dealing with something be with you in a mo, I stopped going here years ago prefer to use a local garage. The sales side is 5 star pity the service side lets it down wouldn’t even give them 1 star majority of the staff need sacking and new blood brought in. Think they are far superior
Im sorry I didnt read the reviews…
Im sorry I didnt read the reviews before my service in Liverpool. I took my car infor a oil service and uring the service my car notified me, I randomy had a inspection due 29 days earlier than the date Itook it in. They told me some random story about it was hidden behind a oil service that it wasnt due.The Inspection was just the MOT reminder. I took the car back and was blagged to have a air filter fitted. if they had any decency they would have just addmitted they reset it to the wrong year, we all make mistakes, This has put me off BMW now as I complained to BMW and they just sided with williams knowing full well they had added the inspection on to my car as I sent them 2 screen shots of before the service and during the service. total cowboys and im very dissapointed in BMW :(
STAY AWAY FROM BMW LIVERPOOL
STAY AWAY FROM BMW LIVERPOOL – MISLEADING SALES & ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY
I purchased a brand new BMW 7 Series from BMW Liverpool in 2018, trusting the salesman (Riz) to guide me through the finance and GAP paperwork. Like many consumers, I relied on his expertise. A year later, I received a call from the manager at the time informing me that Riz had manipulated the documents and kept funds paid directly to him. He was later dismissed, but the damage was already done.
Recently, I was involved in an incident and had to make a GAP insurance claim, only to discover that the paperwork had been altered. I am now dealing with the Financial Ombudsman and urgently need documentation from BMW Liverpool to support my case.
Despite weeks of calls and follow-ups, I have received no meaningful support. I’ve spoken with Ian, the current new car sales manager, who has not returned my calls or provided assistance. I was told I’d hear back after they spoke to their Head of Business, but – unsurprisingly – I never did. When I called again today to request the Head of Business’s email address, I was told it couldn’t be given out. That’s deeply concerning, especially when the issue stems from misconduct by their former employee.
This dealership has shown a complete lack of responsibility, communication, and customer care. The BMW itself was fantastic, but I strongly advise anyone considering BMW Liverpool to look elsewhere. Once they’ve sold you the car, they disappear – even when the problems are of their own making.
I bought a used car from BMW Williams…
My husband bought a used car from BMW Williams in June 2025.
We were very disappointed with the sales person, he was so inefficient making a number of mistakes one of which was filling in the V5c form incorrectly, not once but twice. As a consequent of these errors I have had to write to the DVLA explaining the errors and providing proof of purchase. Over a month since collecting my car I still haven’t got the correct V5c.
The Sales persons whole attitude was very lax and it was one of the worst experiences I have had while buying a car.
Avoid
Paid over £500 for a service on my 5 series waited a while to collect car and was told it was due to cleaning the car
I got the keys went to my car and it was a mess I had the car cleaned before I gave it to them and in a day they messed up the floor mats left oil marks on the crème leather and the outside had a sticky substance all over it. Had to get it valeted again today. I complained and have heard nothing back from them. I keep my car immaculate and this was a very bad experience Think twice before using them
I bought a BMW X4 from BMW by Faye…
I bought a BMW X4 from BMW by Faye Wilcock a year ago, and the entire experience has been extremely disappointing. I had to drive all the way from London to Liverpool just to collect the car, only to find it came with just 6 months MOT – something I wouldn’t expect from a premium brand like BMW, where a full 12-month MOT should be standard.
The staff were rude and dismissive throughout the process. I had agreed before purchase that the car would come with a warranty covering cosmetic damage, tyres, and alloys. However, when I arrived to collect it, they refused to provide the warranty. It then took three months of back-and-forth calls and emails just to get a refund for something I was promised upfront.
To top it all off, after only a year of use, the washer fluid system is already blocked – which speaks volumes about the quality.
Very disappointing experience overall. Not what I expected from BMW.
100% recommended to anyone!
100% recommended to anyone, I've had my bmw x5 in for recall work and a quick look at an issue on the vehicle,
From start to finish I have been away in greece🌞🍺, they have kept me updated completely throughout and my car is now back home ready for me getting back Monday 🙌
Big thank you to cerys, wonderful member of staff and very well mannered see yous in the future ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It’s not all negative. Quality service!! A*
The reviews made me nervous, but I guess people feel more compelled to write negative comments, than they do positive.
It’s the world we live in.
But my experience was nothing short of what I expect of BMW.
I expect to treated with respect and courtesy and for BMW to understand my needs.
In return I expect to pay a premium for a quality service and product.
That’s what I got.
From initial contact with James (Liverpool), negotiating a sensible price for my car and the nearly new one I wanted; completing numerous documents; through to collection. It was seamless.
When James was on his days off, Luke (sales manager) knew my case inside out. Stepped in to answer my questions, and provided the professional reassurance that everything was going to plan.
Pick up day was great. A long drive to Liverpool. The BMW centres is spotless. Looks the part and what I wanted.
My car was charged up and I had plenty of fuel to get home safely.
My car looked fantastic. I was over the moon.
After a brief recap of key features, I was on my way.
Follow up call from James the next day, just to check everything was fine.
Utterly professional service. Really pleased with the car and won’t hesitate to use Williams again.
You staff are dishonest
Scratched my car when washing it then denied even washing it in the first place. Mercedes next time I think.
