Had a really good experience with Samrat he made our day with great service and a great destination.
He is very clear and articulate

I brought a Mystery holiday voucher from wowcher for this organisation, big mistake! The voucher claims to provide a £99 holiday. I redeemed, picked my dates and was given a location. Then I was contacted by weekenderbreaks.com and it all started to unravel. I was contacted by a very rude man who laughed at me when I said I could only travel at a weekend and threatened the loss of my money if I didn't book the holiday there and then. After 4 hours and an additional £126 being paid I eventually booked a trip. In the meantime I contacted wowcher who basically told me, not their problem and takr it up with weekenderbreaks. Now my flights have been cancelled and they are refusing to refund me, despite their terms and conditions stating full refund if sigificant change to the holiday. I will NEVER use this company again and would advise others against it. Lessons learned, if it looks to good to be true, it is!

The guy who called me and talked me through everything was really clear no hidden agenda just clear kind and helpful

I booked two mystery holidays via Wowcher, both arranged over the phone with a Weekender Breaks agent. During the call, I was pressured to confirm I had received the emails containing our travel details while still on the line. It was unbelievably odd and did not give me anytime to adequately skim the details, a pressure tactic so they can claim they have your “confirmation” in writing. They actually send the email after already having booked everything so regardless of any discrepancies, the booking is confirmed and according to policy if this happens you have to pay more money to change it, even if it’s not your fault!

A week later, I realised the agent had booked for the completely wrong month. When I escalated it, the company immediately went on the defensive. They refused to accept responsibility for their agent’s mistake, claiming I’d agreed to it, and when I asked for the call transcript, they suddenly couldn’t produce it.
After weeks of exhausting back and forth, they reluctantly refunded only the hotel portion, leaving me out of pocket for flights I couldn’t even use.

The second trip (Berlin) was somehow worse.
We couldn’t attend due to scheduling conflicts, and I accepted that it was “non-refundable” as confirmed by text when a Weekender rep said “yes the payment is already done to the accomodation supplier which is non refundable” — until I contacted the hotel directly, who confirmed they hadn’t received a penny from Weekender Breaks. Payment, they explained, is only made after guests complete their stay and send an invoice to recoup costs.

When I confronted Weekender about this, they doubled down, insisting the hotel had been paid. Their “proof”? The same generic voucher I’d received at booking- which only reserves a room, it doesn’t pay for it! I pushed harder, and they then sent me a so-called “confirmation email” backdated months before our dispute even began. A fabricated document, plain as day.

Since demanding a dated invoice or remittance to prove payment was ever made, they’ve hidden behind vague “third-party suppliers” and then ghosted me entirely.

I have every piece of evidence needed and will be pursuing this through formal and legal channels.
Do not trust this company with your money!!! Their business model is a shell game, built on pressure tactics, deception, and zero accountability.

EDIT: I have since been contacted by Weekender Breaks, who continue to deflect and provide contradictory statements- they can’t even hold a consistent narrative. They have even asked me to take this review down. It’s clear their public reputation means more to them than accountability or actual customer fairness. I stand by every word of my experience :)

Really easy booking process samrat explained everything spot on

I was slightly disappointed that I had to pay extra for my chosen dates, however Samrat was able to offer me a 4 star hotel in a central location which made up for it, so thank you.

I booked a Groupon Mystery Holiday and was treated utterly horribly from start to finish. Before I was even told anything about the actual holiday (you know, the exciting bit you’re meant to look forward to), Ranjit jumped straight in, barking at me that my hotel was 40km from the airport so I “wouldn’t have a nice time” unless I paid more money for an upgrade.

I told him I didn’t want to commit to that - I wanted to hear the full details first - but instead of accepting that, he just kept going. Over and over, telling me I’d regret it, that I’d have to get up at 3am, that I’d be paying more for taxis anyway, basically doing everything he could to make me feel bad for not spending extra. I had to literally raise my voice to get him to stop because he kept speaking over me, muttering under his breath about how he was “just trying to help” and making me feel like I was being stupid for not giving in.

He said he’d call me back, and when he did, he suddenly said he’d “managed to get me” a better hotel without the upgrade (like I should be grateful) and that all I needed to do now was confirm the booking. I told him clearly that I wasn’t ready to confirm anything yet, that I wanted to see the full details first - I even explained that because of my disability, I struggle to process information unless I can see it in front of me. He completely ignored that and told me I had to confirm right now on the phone or there’d be no holiday for me at all.

I said I didn’t feel comfortable doing that, and that given how pressured and aggressive he’d been earlier, I didn’t feel safe agreeing to anything. He got huffy and defensive, saying he couldn’t believe I was talking about trust after how “nice” he’d been to me. Apparently, letting me have a hotel that wasn’t 40km away was some kind of generous favour I should be thanking him for.

Eventually, after all that stress, he agreed to email me the details, but said he had to stay on the phone while I booked it. I asked if that was even allowed because it didn’t feel right at all, and he just talked over me again, saying if I didn’t book there and then, I wouldn’t have a holiday at all. I asked if I could speak to someone else, he said no. I asked when someone else might be available, he said they wouldn’t be. The whole thing was so manipulative, I honestly felt trapped.

At one point he muttered something under his breath and then quickly asked, “Are you happy with that?” - I’m pretty sure he was trying to get me to accidentally confirm the booking. When I said no, because I didn’t understand what he’d said, he just said fine, someone will call you within 24 hours, and ended the call in a weird way where he didn’t actually hang up, almost like he wanted me to hang up first so it looked like I’d ended it.

It was honestly one of the nastiest, most uncomfortable experiences I’ve ever had with another human being, let alone a company I was meant to trust with a holiday. And now he keeps calling for literally half a second and hanging up before I can answer... which I assume is so it looks like I’ve been avoiding his calls!?

It’s made me feel completely taken advantage of and honestly shaken. I can’t believe this is how people are being treated. If this company has any decency or care for their customers at all, please respond and sort this out, because right now, this whole thing feels incredibly wrong and deeply manipulative.
Thankfully I have screenshots and the audio recordings to prove it! So If I don’t receive a proper response and resolution immediately, I’ll be reporting this incident to ABTA.

Please guys, don't put yourself what I just went through, your holiday is supposed to be a positive, wonderful thing!

I booked a holiday through Weekender Breaks and was really impressed with how easy and straightforward the process was. The price was very reasonable, and all the details were clearly communicated. Everything from booking confirmation to travel arrangements was handled efficiently, which made the whole experience stress-free.
The hotel and overall package were exactly as described, and I felt I received great value for money. Rohan Ginotra was also quick to respond to any questions I had, which gave me extra confidence before traveling.
I would definitely recommend Weekender Breaks to anyone looking for a convenient and affordable getaway.
