Visited Doncaster TGI Fridays
Visited Doncaster TGI Fridays. Walked upto the service point to be seated, ended up waiting a lot longer than usual and had to walk INTO the seating area to find a member of staff to seat us (ended up seeing a group stood talking outside of the kitchen area) from there everything was ok. Mains came quickly, desserts took longer, can’t decide if too long with how quiet the restaurant was. As a whole brand, I feel like the prices are getting to the point of us looking somewhere else unless it’s a very special occasion. Just cannot justify it.

Took my granddaughters to Ashton under Lyne branch for a special birthday occasion lunch ( first ever visit). The experience was shocking, the skeleton staff didn't want to be there, the first 3 drinks I asked for they didn't have !!! ended up having water, we had lots of questions regarding the menu not explained, the food although edible was at best cheap fast food standard, I choose surf and turf and got 2 prawns which cost an extra £5-99, they forgot my sides and sauce, and my granddaughters fries and burger came warm not hot, I think this was down to understaffing. TGI Fridays that was truly shocking.

Very poor quality food and we were overcharged. I complained since August and I am still waiting for them to get back to me. Can’t believe how fast they have gone downhill.

Kids party disaster
We had booked, pre paid and pre ordered a kids birthday party package in Bournemouth.
Firstly we had to wait 15 minutes for our table to be made ready. Even though I had pre ordered and told them this on arrival nobody seemed to realise this. The waitress first tried to take the kids drinks orders - I had to explain it was a party therefore the capri suns were included. These took half an hour to be brought to the table. After an hour of waiting for our food I went to speak to the manager, although he apologised he didn’t really seem to care and I didn’t feel confident anything would speed up. Looking around the restaurant I could see other tables waiting for their food and the manager going around speaking to them.
The table of 8 adults sat next to us who arrived after us then got their food, we had now been waiting 1 hour 15. My husband and I had to yet again chase our food as no one was letting us know what was going on. Finally after 1 hour 45 of waiting and complaining the kids meals turned up. I then asked them to make the ice cream orders and bring out the cake I’d brought as the kids parents were coming to get them. (I had to keep delaying the pick up time!).
I then had to clear the table as this was not going to be done as the restaurant was full of tables that needed clearing. The manager came at the end and said the pre order of £80 would be refunded due to the bad service which he said was his fault entirely. My husband and I had also ordered main meals and drinks and I told him we would not be paying for those either as it was such a shambles.
It was a farce from the beginning - what is the point of pre booking, pre paying for a party with pre ordered food when it takes 1 hour 45 to arrive? It would be bad enough on a normal night out but this was a 12 year olds birthday party! I am still in shock that this service is even possible. Apologies were said but at no point did anyone come to us we had to go to them. I shall be telling all my friends never to book a kids party here that’s for sure!!!

We ordered a £150 gift voucher as a present for some friends, they have never received an email with the gift voucher and the money has come out of our account.
No way of contacting TGIFridays to sort this out.
Expected to eat off of Unhealthy Rusty Trays
Went to TGIFriday in Thurrock Lakeside, for a treat and catch time for me and my two children. We ordered 2 rib meals and a nacho meal. The food and drinks came promptly, however when the rib meal was placed in front of us I noticed that both the trays they were on were rusty. I swiftly spoke to the waitress and asked for two plates to put the food onto, as it is totally not wise to eat off of a rusty surface and it could have health implications. The waitress complied and responded that it was the BBQ sauce that causes the trays to rust.
Sad Times
I'm really sad. I used to love TGI's. I remember it was always such an experience and I started going literally 30 years ago.
It was always a special treat for us and the food always great.
I've not been for a couple of years and decided to pop into the Bristol one near Cribbs Causeway.
We were shown to a table quickly which was unsurprising since most of the restaurant was empty. Despite this we were put together with other diners, presumably to make it feel lively.
However, the ambience was less softly lit luxury experience but more 'we forgot to pay the electric bill' dark.
I could forgive that but when I opened the menu and saw the prices, for the first time in my life I literally just got up out of my seat and walked out of a restaurant.
Basically it seems like TGI's is just dark, dingy and overpriced.
What a shame. HUGE shame.

Kyle our server in the metro centre was fab tonight, we visited after a shopping trip and Kyle made such a fuss of our little boy who turned 5 on Monday including bringing our a birthday ice cream. For such a young lad he’s got a lovely way with people & his parents should be very proud for raising such a polite and well mannered young man. Credit to the TGI metro team. Thanks again Kyle x
Great Food &Service

Stratford-Waited two hours for order that the manager didn't place
Waited two hours for an order that wasnt placed.
We were served by the manager of your restaurant. Manager didn't take or jot down or order. We repeatedly asked staff to check on our order and we're assured it wss coming.
Eventually my wife raised her voice and complained to the staff that our order still hadn't arrived. Eventually the manager who saved us came out and apologised, saying that our ticket had been lost.
We opted to est given my husband was diabetic and was dangerously low with his blood sugar. Our meal didn't arrive for another 30 minutes. Our sons order was stone cold, but we opted to just leave.
No attempt at discount or apology was made.
We've been coming here for years and this was the absolute worst experience we've ever had.
Horrific experience
Horrific experience. Took my daughter and her two friends for a birthday treat. One of the children has a bad dairy allergy. We checked the allergy menu and was reassured it was ok what we had ordered. We waited 35 minutes for our drinks. Another 1 and ten minutes passed and we still didn’t have our food. We complained several times and were told it wouldn’t be long. After another ten minutes we were told that actually they couldn’t say whether or not the allergy meal would be free from or not. Two hours later they decided to tell us this. We left after two hours of being messed about. The whole restaurant was waiting over an hour and half for food and complaining. Second time I have been and second bad experience. Won’t return for a third. Thankyou for ruining my 11 year olds birthday meal.
Tgi Friday Staines (Save your money and time)
I was extremely disappointed with my recent visit to TGI Fridays in Staines. Despite having a pre-booking, the service was unacceptably slow. It took 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and a further 30 minutes for the appetisers to be served. During this time, the children in our party were left repeatedly asking when the food would come.
After our starters were cleared, we waited another 30 minutes before having to chase a member of staff about our mains. When they eventually arrived, the quality was appalling – my burger was completely burnt, and the additional coleslaw we ordered was bland, watery, and honestly the worst I’ve tasted.
Having not visited TGI Fridays for several years, this experience has confirmed that I will not be returning in the future. Both the service and food were far below the standard expected from a restaurant chain of this size.
Worst experience
Went to tgi Friday's for a nice meal and was hugely disappointed. The ribs were awful, chips were dry corn and salad was absolutely horrible. My friends meal was the same she ordered a sandwich and it was so dry and tasteless. They also forgot our drinks, gave us no serviettes my drink had to be remade twice as the one's they served me were awful. Lazy staff and very unprofessional. Overall experience was horrid and we will not be returning.
Wouldn’t recommend
Waited 1 hour for starters, another hour for our mains so we didn’t bother with desserts. We were also told that we could not use the Kids Eat Free offer despite the coupon being well within date. Food was fine but certainly not worth the wait nor the price. Not sure if this particular branch (Fareham) was understaffed but the service was poor.
Over priced and poor quality
Over priced and poor quality .
Over £1 per ringlet of calamari .
Cheese doughnuts tasted like bland dog food and the chicken starter was tiny and very average
My pint of Orange juice and lemonade tasted like plain lemonade with an orange tasting additive ( not real orange juice ) and what was in the glass was 80% ice cubes !
I would never go there again . Going broke so sold out , reduced portions , raised prices and gone to pot .
TGI Friday Bluewater which I’m a…
TGI Friday Bluewater which I’m a regular too at least once a month were shocking! They way they treat loyal customers. I was booked in on the 1st August for my daughter’s birthday and also has my special needs son and a couple of others. Fire alarm went off after ordering drinks and food the waiter said nothing to worry about it will stop in a minute. 5 minutes later she said sorry I can’t serve food by law the extractor fan has broke and ushered us to leave. I said what am I going to do I’ve booked everywhere else is queing because of half term she didn’t seem bothered didn’t even wish my daughter a happy birthday and we had to leave. Had to wait an hour for somewhere else and my son had a meltdown because he had already ordered for and was in the routine of knowing what we were doing. I went back a couple of hours later for a complaints email the manager didn’t even come down to speak about the matter just got a lady to write down an email and sent me on my way. I still have had no reply from the Bluewater store but received a survey the next day to which I gave my honest answers. No resolution just said they will use it as a training exercise. Absolutely shocking
