What the flaming henry happened to Tetley? I've always drank tetley. The new batch I have tastes like dishwater. It's grim! And I am seeing similar reviews here too, weird. Time to switch to another brand! :)

I absolutely agree with everyone who has written a review about the quality of Tetley tea, I’ve always bought Tetley and even take bags on holiday with me, no matter where I travel, however I won’t be buying Tetley tea anymore, the One cup is so weak and so tasteless, a waste of money. I’ve recently tried Tesco’s own brand and you get a really decent cuppa plus a lot cheaper lol. As many people have said on here, hike prices but reduce quality, they think we won’t notice….. How wrong they all are.
Anyway I’m going to have a Tesco tea cuppa now 🤣🤣

I have been a Tetley tea drinker for 60+ years. Having recently bought a new box of 240, I thought the tea tasted strange. Having eliminated the water, the kettle, the dish washer, I have come to the conclusion that it’s the tea bags. I tried contacting Tetley through their home page without success so I have emailed them and have requested that the tea be analysed for contaminates. And anything that may be detrimental to my health.

Tetley one cup....that's a joke right? there's no way of getting a decent cuppa out of one bag....I've started using 2 until this bags gone then I'll spend my money elsewhere. Tetley

Tetley tea bags, I have used them, lots of times over the years. Bought some last week. They were abysmal. I blamed the water at first, the had another cup and another. Do they think they won't notice that they are weak and taste like stale water. I threw them out today after using just 3 bags. Don't buy them. Tetley are now just scamming their customers. Supermarket red label are fine. Tetley deserve to go bankrupt

Used to love Tetley (for 30+ years), but since repackaging - it just tastes like bitter cardboard. So I've switched to Sainsbury's red label tea, which tastes like Tetley used to.

Happy Tummy herbal tea does what it says on the box. Really good for bloating 🍵

New teabag as of sep 2024 are poor quality they have changed them tea it now tastes bitter will be looking for another brand of tea asap

New plastic free packaging is a disaster hard to open, unable to re close with torn box. Most of all will not have the ability to keep air out anywhere near the same way which will allow the degradation of product much faster over time. Plastic was used in the first place for a reason. You may have destroyed your product with this change. I have already started looking at other products. Plastic has major benefits in some areas that cannot be replace until there is a sealing compound that can be used that has the same ability to keep air out to the same level that plastic can.

Well I'm not one to complain but I'm so disappointed with Tetley Robust teabags.I thought it was the water or washing up liquid.Threw first cuppa away then started again it was still horrible. I usually leave bagbin but the taste just got worse now I'm feeling queasy.Worse thing is I bought two boxes so now got to buy some more teabag but they definitely won't be Tetley

I have been a fan of tetley tea bags since ditching PG Tips years ago when they hiked the price. Since the recent change in packaging and the dramatic inflation rise I get the feeling that Tetley have done a shrinkflation in the quality of their tea. I am off to find a new plantation with more flavour and less cost, might try own label red tea from one of the s/mkt chains

Usually buy Yorkshire Teabags on Amazon usually buy the large bag which lasts for a few months. Thought I would try Tetley teabags what a big mistake my daughter and I were both in agreement that it was awful. I have now gone on to buying Punjana teabags which are much better. Will definitely never buy Tetley again. Thompson Punjana are far superior.

I have used Tetley tea for years. I buy it in 300 bag boxes but recently the tea has been terrible. I have tried using different water, different cups to no avail. It used to be a delicious strong tea, now it doesn't even taste like tea. Now I have 900 bags of tea that I will have to through out. Very disappointing.

I'm not a regular reviewer, but I feel I need to step in to defend Tetley teabags amongst a barrage of complaints. When they changed the packaging to cardboard boxes from the laminated plastic wrapping, I was worried that the bags would suffer from a deterioration in freshness and taste. However, as a long-term Tetley teabag drinker, I'm glad to say that I found no dropping of standards and I've waited several months before reviewing. Tetley teabags still provide a refreshing, delicious cup of tea. There is plenty of flavour, with leafy notes and good body. Like some other detractors I tried other more expensive brands to compare, but untypically found that Tetley compared well. I hope Tetley are not put off by the knockers and continue to provide a great product at a low price.

I've been complaining about the taste of my tea for days, we're using Tetley tea bags, and thought it was me. Every cup I made just tasted dreadful and just like dishwater. There is no flavour and I have blamed the kettle, my mouth, the water, the milk and then I looked it up and found these reviews. So glad I did, as will not even wait for packet to finish, life's too short for bad tea!!

Have drank Tetley tea for 40+ years, sad to say the changes they've made have put me off tea altogether, the taste is vile. I'm theorising Tetley are doing what most companies are doing these days, upping the price and reducing the content. Is it worth losing most of your customers??

Terrible taste horrible bags ill keep ordering irish tea bags only tried it once definitely not strong its swish water

Don't know what Tetley are playing at, my teabags are constantly bursting and the tea tastes vile, full of tannin to make it brown but no tea flavour!!!! And to add insult, I'm sure they pop a few of the old style teabags in the box as you get one enjoyable cup in about ten, need to start looking at other brands and that's really annoying as I've only ever bout tetley, This has been going on for the last couple of years but you keep purchasing them hoping it was just a dodgy batch but enough is enough.

I have been a Tetley tea drinker for 45 years and I am sad to say I will not be buying them again! I have had to change to Twinings Everyday as I don’t like PG or Yorkshire Tea
The past few months the tea is bitter and weak, just an awful taste, thought I had a bad box at first but NO!! I’ve purchased more and they are all the same, my mom who is 84 has even noticed and is not happy, I also see It’s not just me and my mom after googling it. Sorry Tetley I have always chosen you but you have let us down badly and I will not be buying your tea bags again. Acrid taste and the bags look cheap and nasty
