Got a text confirming delivery, took the day off work (so unpaid)... text said I'd get charged £30 for redelivery so though better not risk it... and my bed never arrived. They can't make up their mind why, one email said someone tried to deliver and I wasn't home and someone else said it wasn't ever scheduled so all in all, really annoyed. And to lie.. just awful customer service.
They don't care I lost out on income. My bed did finally arrive. Looks fine, just wouldn't order from a heartless company again.

Awful experience. Please avoid this company at all costs.ordered a £350 table. Only table top arrived via FEDEX. Raised a complaint to Royal Design who are horrendously slow at replying to any message and provide no telephone contact info. Finally fobbed me off to fedex. Spoke to fedex who fobbed me back off to Royal Design. Absolute shambles of a company. Still no table 3 weeks later. Speaking to my bank to initiate a chargeback. I will never use this company again.

Warning that they use FedEx with kerbside delivery. Their website says to fix it by contacting FedEx who does not offer another delivery option.
I live in a high crime, busy area, so waiting for my package to be delivered and inevitably stolen.
The copy and paste response they use on all reviews here is also unfuriatingly bad.

Ordered some rather expensive knives from Royal Design and unfortunately they arrived damaged with one sticking out the parcel (incredibly dangerous). I've been trying to resolve the issue with customer service for nearly 3 weeks now but the responses are incredibly slow having had only 2 response. Issue is still not resolved.

It took 10 days to deliver. Although expected delivery date was changed by Fedex a few times, I was always kept informed and eventually it arrived on time.
Assembly was easy, just screw seat to the frame (ready assembled).
I ordered beige breeze. Happy with the colour but the fabric is rusty and itchy feel. Wish I had chosen other fabric.
Customer service response was efficient.
Great selection of products but please be aware of the returns policy. I mistakenly ordered an insert for my new kitchen bin but when the bin arrived it already had an insert. I emailed customer service to query the returns process and I was advised the cost would be £19
The insert cost £27 to buy and the return fee is £19 which is ridiculous.
Will I return my item? No, will I use Royal Design again? No.

Ordered a beautiful ceramic glazed pot in the sale, having not first checked if it was a legit company, but thought I'd accept the risk because the pot was exactly what I was looking for and about 30% less than I'd seen elsewhere.
Arrived within 5 days via fed ex, well packaged and handled with care by the courier (signed for unlike others who just leave it on the door step).
The pot is beautiful, and a real feature for my side board.
Will definitely be buying from Royal Design again.
Excellent service nearly didn’t order because of bad reviews glad I did as the knife holder was much cheaper than I could get in the UK and no import fees, fast delivery time as well. If you can find what you want on their website don’t have any hesitation ordering from Royal Design.
Love the Montana shoe cabinet but unfortunately it holds only four pairs
of shoes which is not mentioned on the royal design website. As I have a very small hallway I needed something compact like the Montana shoe cabinet but with more storage for shoes. I did not think for a moment that a compact space saving cabinet this expensive would hold only four pairs of shoes.
Now coming to the returns, these are very expensive and troublesome. It is important to read carefully this
Company return policy. Returns for big items like mine are £150 which should make people think twice about buying from them.
On top of that you are required to register with Fedex in order to send your large piece back.
Fedex has asked me for my credit
card details included my security code which I am unwilling to give. This strict return policy is not customers friendly and I would suggest to shop around before buying from Royal design or
Just keep in mind that returns are expensive and you have to organise them by yourselves.
Also there is no guarantee that you will get a refund for the remaining balance once Royal Design gets the
Products back. If the item is damaged in transit you are still liable if you cannot prove that when you gave it to the courier, it was in pristine conditions.
Very very stressful and
regrettable purchase.

Ordered a stool which came broken in two pieces, RoyalDesign dreaded and ignored any attempts to exchange it.
A couple of weeks later a third party company TestFreaks which I understand they hire to collect customer reviews emailed me and asked for a review, which I did. Funny as it is TestFreaks emailed me a couple days later saying they cannot post a negative review and any issue with RoyalDesigns should be solved through their customer support :)

Dreadful experience, avoid!!
Wish I’d taken notice of the awful reviews before purchasing a ceiling shade from this awful company. The item never arrived and then when I chased them down they finally told me that it’d been lost in transit and that I’d get a refund. However, whilst digging into the refund I never received it transpired that they’d never even charged me for the order!! This was despite emails to the contrary, they even offered to refund me. The customer service was woeful too, truly terrible. Called on two occasions and on both the people I spoke with sounded barely awake, let alone interested in assisting me. Honestly, take heed of the terrible reviews and look elsewhere..

I order from the online shop. Their courier lost my order and they were very unhelpful in sorting out the issue. I called customer service line and they would not accept any responsibility or help me contact the courier. I will not purchase anything from them again and would advise avoiding.

Do not order here! My order is incomplete so I cannot build it together (Hübsch Library Shelf) but the customer service doesn‘t do anything about it but telling me they contacted the supplier and did not get an answer. The parts of the shelf are standing at the apartment and all the things that are supposed to go into it are laying on the floor since weeks. It‘s not that hard to send the part of the shelf that are missing (screws and other metal parts), especially at that price. I will not order here again.

I had a very disappointing experience with this company. I ordered an item based on the correct description and image on their website, but they sent me something completely different. When I contacted customer service, they insisted the label number was correct, but it seems they made an error and are misleading customers. To resolve the issue, I requested a refund and for them to collect the incorrect item, but they didn’t take responsibility for their mistake. Be cautious when ordering from here, as their service and accuracy need improvement.

They don’t fulfil orders, then tell you it will be delivered when it’s back in stock, even though it is showing in stock when you purchase. Then they never contact you again. So you have to chase them and they change to it is discontinued and you won’t be receiving it. But they never planned to let you know this!
Don’t trust them with your order.
Seems like they are sharing stock with their other companies and selling the same products twice. They need to fix this system if that is how they want to operate their stock management!

Terrible Returns Process and Customer Service
Absolutely awful experience. The returns process is a complete mess, and their customer service is non-existent. I’ve sent multiple emails, and no one has bothered to reply.
Do not waste your time or money with this company. If something goes wrong with your order, don’t expect any help or support. I regret purchasing from them and would not recommend them to anyone.
