Excellent Service
I attended Rowland pharmacy in Newton Mearns on Monday 12 October looking to purchase an over the counter remedy for heartburn and trapped wind. I was experiencing heaviness in my chest and thought this was contributing to this. The assistant Margaret offered me a few options but was concerned I was complaining of chest pain. She suggested she check my blood pressure. I don’t suffer from BP problems and I am not in any medication. She checked it and both readings were extremely high. I contacted my GP and was sent to the Southern General hospital in Glasgow. I was detained overnight as raised blood results suggested I had a clot in my lungs. A CT scan reassured me this was not the case. I was due to travel to London on Tuesday 13 with my daughter however I was advised not to travel. But for the swift response by Margaret I would not have checked my BP which now needs managed, I would have gone to London with my daughter and would not have had a CT scan which checked for a blood clot. I have used Rowlings Pharmacy for several years and have always felt very well looked after by the pharmacist Lisa who took care of a skin issue I have had for many years and her staff however on this occasion it was potentially a serious health issues and I am eternally grateful to Margaret.
