My Home Became Unsafe, and No One Took Responsibility
I never imagined I would have to live with a rodent infestation for over five months in a property managed by Onward Homes.
I live alone, and despite reporting the problem repeatedly, sending emails, making countless phone calls and raising formal complaints, the issue has still not been permanently resolved. Living with rodents for months has affected not only the hygiene and safety of my home, but also my mental health. The constant noise at night, fear and anxiety became so severe that, under medical supervision, I had to increase the dosage of my prescribed medication.
During this time I also experienced other unresolved repair issues, including being left without hot water for almost two weeks. Instead of receiving timely solutions, I often received apologies while the problems continued.
After months of living in these conditions, I have now been told that further investigations are required, while I am still expected to continue living with these issues. This has been an exhausting and distressing experience.
I hope no other tenant has to go through what I have experienced.

Fantastic customer service
I rang the repair line for my elderly mother who is the main tenant and reported a problem to a lovely lady called Mandy, she quickly got onto it and the problem was sorted out in no time. Mandy was especially understanding of my mothers needs and the service she provided was exceptional.

Carl from DMC came to assess and he was very professional.
Unfortunately he couldn’t do anything but he raised the job for the surveyor there and then and booked an appointment.
