I have a Taylor Wimpey property, moved in from new, been here two and a half years now and have had two doors, first on lasted a year and a half and split on both sides at the bottom and one side at the top, I had this replaced January last year, I have emailed again today as I am now out of my warranty period and the response I got was that the warranty only covers the original door that was fitted. So I have had this door for about a year and this one is splitting on both sides at the bottom, IG doors said its not there problem as I am out of warranty. So they think its normal you should have to replace your door every year. Absolutely shocking. If buying a new build and they use IG doors which most builders do, try get money off and not have it fitted and sort your own door from a reputable company.

Absolutely shocking - door frame lasted four years when painted every other year before it rotted. Redrow new home and IG doors response is it’s out of warranty. A door that last four years great product NOT !

Purchased a Taylor Wimpey house that has a front door supplied by IG Doors. The door leaks and water pours into the house each time it rains. This was first reported in May 2021, apparently an inspection needs to take place to see what to do about this. However in five months this has not taken place. It was due today October 22nd and with no notice of cancellation or apology nobody has turned up at my house despite my staying in all day for this appointment.
I feel keeping out rainwater is a basic function of a front door but sadly these doors don’t seem to be able to do it. We get slugs coming in under it too so there’s obviously gaps as well.
This is a very common fault reported with these doors so the inspection just wastes time as will the repair they will no doubt force upon us only to find it fails in a few weeks just like all the other attempted repairs.
Time wasters!
Do not buy from these people, just avoid!

Was really stuck when a council tenant's door locking mechanism jammed and they were unable to secure their property. A couple of phone calls to Tom and Nicola innthe relative department's within IG Doors later and I had not only one replacement lock but also a spare to keep hold of, just on case its needed in the future for another of the properties. Excellent service, thank you both for saving the day

Its now getting on for nearly a year since i left that useless company who is not fit for makimg doors rubbish the staff will lie lie lie best thing i ever did was to leave as they will do your head in all you will have is grief stress ,at the end of the day they do not care about their customers but they forget customers keep them in a job one day they will be on the dole good enough for them if i wanted a cowboy outfit i would buy IG doors

Avoid at all costs - I bought a new build property through David Wilson and the door has cracked after a year. David Wilson organised the door to be replaced under warranty - great.

However 10 months later, I am still with no door. Originally it was due, the door was supposedly “unpainted” and had to go back to the factory. Second date to be installed, I get a call on the day saying no engineer is available to install the door - Pushed back again. Third date, exactly the same thing - no engineer. Fourth date - engineer apparently turned up to install but did not have the door?!

I don’t even think the door exists at this point

Beyond a joke. I never write reviews but this company is that bad I have to leave one because it is by FAR the worst customer service/ delivery I have ever experienced.

Terrible customer service and poor quality.

Been waiting since January to get a replacement door fitted from IG doors for my new build Countryside home because the last one got blown and swollen.

Take IG forever to respond and do anything. Due to be replaced in October now 10 months later from initial report.

Baking paper will withstand the elements better than anything produced by IG Doors.

Absolutely shocking. Cheap nasty doors. First one on a new build David Wilson home had delaminated and the frame has a crack in the welding. Door replaced after many months, has been replaced with a bowed defective door. They are now arguing saying it’s not defective but will inspect it when the frame is replaced, so we will not get the 3rd new door till the end of the year. They don’t care. Takes months to replace their own badly manufactured products. It takes a few hours to manufacture a door and frame not 10 weeks .

The front door on my new build Taylor Wimpey property has never smoothly opened and closed. The steel plating of the door is now coming away from the core and catching on the frame meaning we cannot open and close the door without huge force. Customer services were apathetic. The house is only three years old; I'd like to see IG's definition of "long-lasting". Even without this issue, the internal of the door is poorly finished with poorly fitting screw covers. I wish new house builders considered both quality and price when choosing suppliers.

Terrible doors produced by this frightful company. Taylor Wimpey should wash their hands of this company.
You should be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves.

I have lived in my Barratt home for near 6 years and we are now getting a 4th front door fitted as the doors keep bowing and it is not in any direct sunlight. The back door also had to be replaced. I definitely would not recommend this company as the doors do not last and they let in a terrible draft.

Moved in to a new build with Taylor wimpey in 2019, reported a faulty door in November 2019, new door was not delivered until December 2020. Now been told also need a new frame in December 2020 and Taylor wimpey were promised delivery of the frame twice last week and the week before. Think Taylor Wimpey should cancel your contract as this does not bode well for their clients.

I fit these doors on a regular basis on site and have never had one that works properly you've always got to mess around with it to get it to work and 6 months later by the time the customer moves in it doesn't work again!!! We even had the IG Doors rep out and he even admitted they don't work properly!!

IG Doors have done front and back door for my Redrow new-build. Had to have the back door replaced, but it took over a year for them to do so. It was badly aligned and wouldn't lock!! Then I complained about the new back door letting in bucketloads of air. Nothing got done about it, and then Covid hit so I didn't want anyone in my house (I live with a vulnerable adult), and now they are saying it's out of warranty. What a joke. Covid is sorting the companies who give a toss from the exploitative. They basically let the clock run down on the complaint that was initially lodged so far within the warranty they haven't an ethical leg to stand on. The window company Redrow uses went out of business (pre-Covid), the door company should follow suit.

Absolutely horrendous company - avoid at all costs. After purchasing a door from them in 2015, it took until March 2016 and 5 replacement doors until we had one where the paint wasn't peeling off or the handle didn't need repairing. After 4 years (after being told that the door was guaranteed for 10 years with no indication that different parts of the door had differing lengths of guarantee) the same issue that I had with the previous 5 faulty doors started to happen again, and in the same places. I was told that the paint was only guaranteed for 4 years and they could only offer me a top up pen! I enquired as the length of time they could guarantee it to last after being topped up, and I was accused of being ungrateful, and they withdrew their offer!!! The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Had a day booked off work for over a month to have my door replaced. Called them twice the day before to make sure it was still going ahead. I was told the engineer will text the evening before. I didnt receive a text until the mornin he is due, telling me the door is not ready and appointment is cancelled. Awful company. Avoid at all costs

Absolute s**t doors. Poorly made and designed. Ongoing issues and a door that doesn’t stop leaking. No response from the aftercare team. Would advise anyone not to buy any products from this company

They make doors that let in the rain and wind, even when they are closed.
Customer service that treat you like an idiot, if you are a developer, dont care how cheap the doors are, THEY ARE NOT WORTH IT.
