Decided to order online as my store barely gets any good stuff. All but one item turned up. I was refunded for it but only after chasing them for multiple days in a row. I actually requested a replace... Mehr ansehen

I have recently received 2 home…
I have recently received 2 home shopping deliveries from home bargains. The boxes they pack in are very flimsy so get crushed in transit, as do the contents. One parcel was completely contaminated with fertilizer, the other had crushed items and had chocolates packed next to highly scented candles so the chocolates were ruined. Customer services were not interested at all and told me to take the parcels back to the store or pay myself to return them. Very disappointing.
Ordered goods on 27th Feb 2026
Ordered goods on 27th Feb 2026, here we are on 27th March still awaiting. It appears to be a problem with Evri who had received the items, however HB communication in customer 'support' is sadly lacking.
Did a large online order
Did a large online order. When it arrived the first box was wet through and in bits. It contained weed killer and plant feed. In a plastic bag inside an over sized box mos bottles leaking on their side. Third bow two broken garden ornaments. Sent in a complaint form to be asked to send back via a courier. Seriously I've sent photos as proof of the leaking items and they want me to courier the leaky items back to them are they serious or what. I may just do that and they can deal with weed killer all over their hands
They sell defective goods do not buy…
They sell defective goods do not buy from there. There are far better stores to deal with. Purchased washing up liquid from there shop in Peterborough where the cap was loose and it spilled all over my shopping. When I approached their customer services team(a lady called Veronica )they did not want to know
Visited lisburn home bargains
Visited lisburn home bargains on 26/3. The staff were exceptional-especially a young man called Fionn who located my lost car keys and the lady on the till who referred to herself as suzie from the block whose customer care skills were excellent. A really positive experience.

Dont by grow bags flies due to…
Dont buy my home full best flies due to the grow bags fuming as I have baby
Never again!
I ordered two solar lights- a very good price, I thought. The package was delivered quite quickly by Evri. Both were badly broken and unusable, due to very poor packaging. Customer services said I could either have a return label or take them to my nearest Home Bargains for a total refund. I drove a 30 mile round trip to my nearest shop to be told they couldn’t (wouldn’t) refund the delivery charge. So it cost me £3.99 deliveries charge and 30 miles worth of petrol to return some broken goods. Thanks a bunch
Overall price increases
What used to be a good store for reasonable pricing is now overpricing Waitrose this store is not what it used to be and I don’t see the value in this store anymore overrated! I purchased a few items came up to over £50.00 ? Couple of cosmetics and cleaning products that is a joke. A steak I saw was £2.99 within the same week the same steak jumped up to £4.99. The name needs to change as it is no longer a bargin to be shopping here
Evri is the problem not home bargains
Placed my first order with home bargains and was told it would be delivered in 3-5days. As it did not arrive after 6 days we sent a message to home bargains who replied the next day to say they would contact evri to find out why. The following day our parcel arrived with everything we had ordered. We were a bit concerned after reading some of the problems other people had but the problem is with evri NOT home bargains, it is evri letting them down. We were pleased with the items we ordered, home bargains customer service, it was just evri that was the problem.
Home Bargains need to choose their couriers on service and not price
I placed my first order with Home Bargains last Saturday and their website was easy to use and the order was actually dispatched to the courier the following day. Brilliant.
But that is where the problems started. Even though I was charged £3.95, Home Bargains have chosen to use Evri as their courier and, true to form, Evri appears to have lost the parcel. They confirm receipt and even notified me that is was out for delivery on Tuesday. 40 minutes later they sent another message stating they couldn't deliver and that is where is has remained ever since. Same pattern as on other occasion when suppliers (not Home Bargains) have used Evri. The usual pattern is for Evri to then claim that that the package has been lost or damaged beyond use. This has become the norm for people in this area and nothing gets done about it. However, suppliers continue to use Evri because they are cheap, regardless of the customer experience. This is precisely why I do not normally order from any supplier that utilises Evri, assuming that information is available, which it should be.
Home Bargains don't help by sitting on their hands and just offering up a canned, automated response. So, Evri are the cause of the problem but they are, Home Bargains chosen courier. Customer service is then a joke at Home Bargains, implying that end users experiences are not that important. I suggest Home Bargains stick to shops and leave the online experience to those that know what they are doing and choose couriers with care. My first and my last experience with Home Bargains online. Imagine what a great experience it could have been if Home Bargains has placed their customer at the centre and chosen a reputable and reliable courier.
Update: After I advised Home Bargains that Evri confirmed that they has 'lost' the parcel, Home Bargains responded by stating they would refund me rather than replace the parcel for "logistical limitations". No recognition that they had sat on my money for 2 weeks. Says it all really.
What a horrible man.
I was in Home bargains yesterday doing a bit of shopping. I was in a queue waiting for about 15 minutes because 2 customers had items with no barcodes. Eventually when I got served, the man didn't even look at me nor speak to me and when I received my change he dropped it from a distance on to my hand rather than placing it. To be honest it made me feel as if I had some kind of disease or something. What a horrible man.
Management does not care about cafe…
Management does not care about cafe staff as a girl was left to work alone at peak time with a lot of customers for at least an hour whilst we were here - the wait time is not the workers fault but the management that again does not care about their employees. I would leave 0 stars for this level of carelessness if I could
lack of delivery
ordered twice on line only one delivery via EVRI both orders not arrived first one gave up and was returned to them took seven days for refund to show. second order was sent out last Friday said sent out but at 15.00 said they could not deliver since then chased both EVRI who you get automated robotic replys im watching parcel and passing on to manager without anything happening HOME BARAGINS can not chase up as still in delivery time frame so nothing moving as no taking onwership and putting themselves out
so got to wait until Mon to tell HOME BARGINS its not arrived and then they will do something
instead of being head of game and chase
They would be good if they didn’t…
They would be good if they didn’t constantly run out of stock of Oshee bars. You would think someone in the company would make sure enough are ordered. This applies to online and in store.
Home bargains just like the rest
I've been spending in average £20 a day in home bargains everyday I get to the till with my 3 for 2 and any 3 for a £3 as soon as I get the till I'm charged full price happens every day
The girl shouts the manager he checks it everyone in the queue is fuming
Today I bought creatine on the sign it said £3,99
As usual that wasn't the price on the till
The girl called for a price check I got there before the manager and watched him move the £3*99 sign so I said to him I watch what you did he denied moving it
I said to him I'm far to angry to talk now but I promise I will be back for an explanation and apology
His bottom fell out of him and he couldn't talk
It was totally embarrassing for both of us
I won't be going back for my apology because the manager never took it upon himself to do that
That must be home and bargains policy
I can't buy from people I don't trust
Thank you for 30 years of your wonderful shop but unfortunately my conscience won't allow
It used to be such a lovely place to shop
It was home bargains great homer street Liverpool
Yours sincerely Christopher Hodge
Home Bargains Enniskillen has to be one…
Home Bargains Enniskillen has to be one of the worst shops for pricing.
Hardly anything corresponds with the pricing labels and the staff are clueless when you question why its wrong or if they will honour it.Had an issue today with an item that was listed at a certain price but came up double what it said it was.Apparently the offer ended over a week ago and the ticket should've been removed but wasn't.Explained to the supervisor it happens quite often but this person had little interest in anything I was saying and wouldn't honour the price so I left the items.
Also found many of the staff to be rude and obnoxious, there are a couple of nice ones but unfortunately the rude outnumber the nice.
Doubtful I will be going back but one customer isnt going to bother them anyway!
I could down from Aberdeen to Home…
I could down from Aberdeen to Home Bargains Hermiston Gait , Edinburgh most weekends to take my elderly parents for their shopping.
The staff know them by name and look after them like Royalty 👑 :-)
Little things like noticing if one of them is absent , asking after their health. They also help with the packing and generally go above and beyond on every visit.
So I wasn't surprised when I asked white she we wanted to go for Mother's Day.
Home Bargains was the reply.
The Manager , George is a brilliant ambassador for HB.
She had a great day ( and after HB a nice drive to South Queensferry for ice cream etc )

So popped into west park branch to get some gardening thing I couldn’t find a item a need was greeted by a long hair very pretty little lady who took me to the product 😀 what a credit to your company she is .
I visited home bargains at regent park…
I visited home bargains at regent park in Salford & I always found two older cashiers a bit rude & racist but the items are good value, so I always pray I don't get served by either of the two.
Unfortunately yesterday(12/03/26) I went in & got served by one of them (only one till was in use) I paid cash & I should got £13.54 back & normally I don't check the change as I assume that you get the right change since the cashier like most look at their till which it will tell you how much you should give it to back to the customer. I took a glance at my change, she short change me by £1, instead of giving me back £13.54, she gave me £12.54. I then went back to the cashier & I told her she short changed me, she had a look at what I got in my hand & took my receipt then gave me back a 'tinted' £1 coin? I said to her I do not want the tinted one, please give me a different one. She said a £1 coin is a £1 coin, yes a £1 coin is a £1 coin until when it's a fake one. She then started to laugh & I just stared at her in disbelief how rude this woman is, the worst thing was she starts telling another customer about it who was in the queue.
Would I go back in that shop again? NEVER! Not while she works there. Short change me & then give me a tinted £1 coin, sorry it is just too much of a coincidence.
As a consumer I am within my rights to reject the change where I believe it is not genuine money & should be respected.
