Do not use home bargains to shop
Online. Item was marked as delivered to a different address and customer service is refusing to offer any help and have basically told me just to go to the police. With all due respect this is not a police issue it is an issue with home bargains and the courier company delivering to an incorrect address. I have paid £69.99 for an item I have not received. Zero lack of help, it is shocking. I am left with proof item was not delivered to me and paying for an item I do not even have.

Awful experience,and my first online delivery as find it difficult getting to the shops. Ordered 6 jars of coffee .Box damaged open broken jars of coffee and glass all over the place . Customer service wasn’t good wouldn’t send new order out and only refunded me for broken jars not the other items in the order which I wouldn’t use as broken glass and coffee covering everything .

I was in the wavertree store and got sensations lamb and mint sauce crisps. They were on the shelf with a yellow price sign on which said 2 for £3.00 or £1.65 each which is what I usually pay . So I got to the til and the girl argued with me that they weren't on the offer but I read it before I got them . Soshe asked another member of staff who agreed with her then ran around to the shelf and took it off before I got round to show her. I didn't mind paying the £1.65 but the manager was rude when I told her she said " I know I told her to take the sign off because it wasfor double sensations" well lamb and mint sauce is double. I will not go to wavertree again edge Lane and prescot have helpful and polite staff. And i checked the label before I got them

My Partner returned home yesterday in floods of tears after a visit to the Home Bargains in Llandudno.

She was treated like a thief for using a shopping bag, whilst pushing our newborn around in a Doona. The pop up pram does not have a basket underneath.

For two months she has used a shopping bag avoid pushing any heavy weight, post c-section. If life isn't hard enough post surgery, baby blues, new baby in tow and being sleep deprived.

A bonnie women with bright pink hair, tattoos and various piercings decided to put my wife down even further. Telling her off at the till, degrading in front of other customers and taking pride in doing it.

Shame on Home bargains for employing such a degrading creature.

No one deserves to be bullied at the till.

Absolute joke. Ordered goods to the value of £100+ from this company. What a fiasco! They use Evri as couriers need I say more. 12 emails over 2 days Informing me of deliveries at various times all of which were no shows. Now been given a new date in 7 days time. Words fail me. You can't talk to a human being as everything is done via email. I'm onto my bank for a charge back. Will I use this company again what do you think? and I advise others not to even consider as it's way to stressful. You need to think very carefully about your couriers.

I love Mrs Hinch, but the new bedding in her range is extremely poor quality. I have used it once and on the first wash the ties have frayed and split. It looks like a sack after ironing. Won't be purchasing any more of the bedding and will probably discard this set

Such a helpful lady at the checkout in Tain, so polite and even offered to remove the label from the sun glasses that I was buying.

I would avoid online purchases with this company due to our recent purchase of dog food that arrived dented tins and popped seals. Told fit for purpose. Not the way to treat customers

AVOID online ordering at all costs. I had an issue and it's impossible to deal with customers service ( who don't know what customer service is). I placed two orders yesterday, and one order I accidentally selected my old address I've recently moved from. Within 40 minutes I reached out to them to be told, they won't change the address or refund me. And the only way to return it ( even though it's not been picked in the warehouse nor despatched from their premises, is via evri, who don't even have the parcel yet. This willful disregard for consumer safeguards in place to protect consumers from unscrupulous online retailers like this, it is an absolute lie that nothing could be done. Contact to notify of the error was within the hour of purchase.

Wow....how can you have no flat bed trolleys at your West Drayton (UB7) branch?
Impossible to buy anything bulky (think it might be spring?) and those garden items, planters/parasols etc are impossible to carry through the shop to my car. Normal trolleys available will not suffice. Didn't bother buying the parasol as I couldn't carry it. Customer lost.

I visited my local Home Bargains this morning (Faverdale Darlington) and bought a trolley full of garden ornaments and beautiful solar lights. Two VERY helpful young men assisted me when I wanted something that wasn't on show. They really went the extra mile! Well done!!
(Actually, ALL the staff are lovely.....clearly well trained!!)

Not a great experience. Ordered a strawberry lemonade. They had no ice. Tasted the lemonade. No fizz. Very slow service. Ooo I'll have a jumbo hotdog. Oh. There's none left. However, the coffee and toasties were okay. The cafe staff were also quite miserable - Leigh home bargains cafe

This company is rubbish for online delivery. I ordered online they were going to send it to the wrong address. I spent all day on the phone and email but said that can not change address. I then arranged for someone to collect it then they cancel the order and I have to wait 5 days for the money to be returned.
DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM THESE.

I shopped at Home Bargains Carisbrooke branch, Isle Of Wight, today and would like to express how helpful and pleasant the manager Leanne was
She certainly went above and beyond normal service, she is a great asset and representative for your company.

The thing that made my experience great is the products they have. They have good range of items the only problems I have is that products on the shelves they don’t seem to fill or keep it tidy. The second problem is the the heating cause it always seems to warm in the building. Also the last problem is the staff they don’t say morning to there customers which I think is out of order cause the odd good morning makes peoples day

Awful member of staff in the Bolton store, didn’t get her name but she had a nose ring in working Wednesday 1st April, evening. She seemed to be following me and my family everywhere and made a little comment about my child picking an item up which I fully intended on buying, after the comment it got returned and will be taking my services elsewhere. Disgusting

Twice in a row I have been overcharged the first time by £12.50 and the second time £8.00
The first time I was charged for logs instead of kindling and the second time charged for two sacks of peanuts inserted of one sack and one bird seed. Always check and ALWAYS take a receipt

I have recently received 2 home shopping deliveries from home bargains. The boxes they pack in are very flimsy so get crushed in transit, as do the contents. One parcel was completely contaminated with fertilizer, the other had crushed items and had chocolates packed next to highly scented candles so the chocolates were ruined. Customer services were not interested at all and told me to take the parcels back to the store or pay myself to return them. Very disappointing.

Ordered goods on 27th Feb 2026, here we are on 27th March still awaiting. It appears to be a problem with Evri who had received the items, however HB communication in customer 'support' is sadly lacking.
