Honestly, a draining experience from start to finish. I spent £110 on an order that included two Osmanthus x burkwoodii shrubs.

Before ordering, I confirmed over email with a manager that the delivery would arrive well before my holiday and followed up with my order number after ordering as requested to ensure this was prioritised. It wasn't.

Instead, they contacted me to deliver while I was away, requiring multiple calls to stop delivery and then start again.

When the plants finally turned up, the shrubs were undersized. With slow-growing plants, that’s a lot of time of lost growth.

Customer service took a couple of weeks to reply to my complaint. They initially offered replacements, then called back and backtracked and said it would take 3 months, expecting me to keep the undersized ones alive until they could swap them. They then offered £12 refund using some weird size vs cost ratio which I rejected, they finally offered £20 for the delays, wrong sizes, and overall hassle.

I accepted the £20 purely because I was completely over the constant back and forth admin and needed to move on, but it is a really poor resolution.

Funniest part was when the customer service person tried to throw shade at me for uploading pictures of the plants rotated, however this is their system that does this, I took the photos portrait on my phone and downloaded them on my Mac before uploading to their site and they're all the right way before their system is involved.

Bottom line: they sell plants at sizes they don't actually fulfill, their internal communication is a mess, and overall it is exhausting. Save yourself the hassle.

Adding this part in following their response below:

1. Go on some GDPR training. Breaching this is illegal. While you're there get some consumer act and misrepresentation act training too.

2. Customers satisfaction is to receive the right size of products they order within the season. You're selling a product, there's no subjectivity, its not an experience.

3. The expectation is to provide products as described. That's how selling works. Remove the product if thats not possible. However, at the time of complaint, resolution and now, the product is on sale, even though not going to be available until October at the correct size. You've failed to grasp you're misrepresenting your products.

4. Fix the images upload system or have customer service advise that the system does that rather than snigger.

5. I never changed my delivery at all. They failed to communicate with each other so it had to be rearranged. I only called to say I was back and ready for it to be sent. Next time just rearrange that in advance.

Going by recent reviews, something has definitely changed in this business culture. Maybe spend less time using AI to craft responses to snipe at customers on here and refocus the energy on providing the service that many other positive reviews had given before. All the best.

It is an absolute Joke!

Volume of Example plants shown on their website was nowhere near the ones which we received

The plants we received are like 20percent of the volume of the plants advertised online!!!

Ordered nearly a month ago and just over a week later they sent and email saying the goods were on the way
But they never arrived and we were too busy to chase plus we have around 20 deliveries a day
Then, more than three weeks after the order, long after we needed them, they emailed to say they were on the way again
We told them we no longer needed the goods
They then told an untruth saying we had been warned the goods could take longer, but when I sent them their own email they just ignored it
We asked for a refund but they refused so we will refuse delivery and get a chargeback
I would avoid these people, not least because they were dishonest and did not own their mistake - we ordered plants from two other suppliers which came within a week so plenty of other options
The reponse from the supplier completely ignores the fact that they emailed on July 8th to say the plants were on the way, when they were clearly not - plus they then threatened to leave a 1* review for my company when they were not even customers, which also indicates the mindset of these people - we will get a chargeback from the card company and their reponse reinforces our view that this is a supplier to be avoided

I've found them to be an awful company to deal with.

I ordered a Loquat tree in mid May. It's now mid July, I still don't have my tree, and now they are ignoring my emails, even though I have now paid more than double what I originally ordered (it's over £150 now) because I was forced to "upgrade" to the standard loquat which is double the cost. They seem to be advertising plants which they don't have.

Oh, and it's very easy to miss the information on the website that the plants come from Italy! It'll likely be dead if it ever arrives, given the record heatwave we have in Europe.

So I had to call them up, they offered no apology whatsoever, the woman was pretty rude on the phone to me, I was obviously annoyed. She still wasn't able to give me a guaranteed delivery date other than a vague "it SHOULD be next week". But i've heard that for two months now and my garden project has been on hold for that long.

Avoid at all costs.

No doubt they'll be along soon to lie about what happened, I've seen them be extremely rude to anyone leaving bad reviews for their shit service. Bring it on.

EDIT: As if to prove how salty they are about honest reviews, the company reported my this review as "containing harmful or illegal content." but Trustpilot reviewed it and said it was fine. I see they like to call people liars on here too. What a lovely bunch! :)

After some confusion over delay of delivery of my terracotta water bowl, the customer service lady very kindly informed me that they would send the bigger size from stock rather than wait for considerable time for the one ordered
This makes me very happy and now im looking forward to receiving it

I ordered six large Quercus ilex plants. I was kept well informed of my order status and delivery details. The plants arrived looking healthy and as expected. Very happy with the service and delivery.

The conifer I ordered was excellent and in perfect condition on delivery., The service I received from Garden Plants Online was also excellent. The conifer had to be shipped from Italy,. The plant had to go into quarantine. I had a weekly report from Garden Plants Online giving me up to date progress of the time line for delivery of the conifer. I had to wait but it was worth it for such a good quality plant. Because of the excellent condition of the conifer I certainly will be ordering from this complany again.

Excellent price and quick delivery. Beautifu, largel Agave..bigger than I thought I was going to receive.just need to pot it up. Highly recommend!

I ordered some pots for a very reasonable price. The delivery took 2 weeks, so perhaps don't use them if you're in a hurry.

Excellent mature persimmon tree delivered very happy in great condition except a little sunburst on leaves but nothing to worry about! Great service very happy the tree should give fruit within two years inshallah

Every word out of their mouths is LIES
and Falsely advertising.
you do NOT get the plant in the photo
they charge you the price of a large plant but you will receive a TINY little plant that you can get anywhere for half the price or less.

I've also got a recorded phone call to the company and some man telling me if I had ordered the plant 3 months later in the year I would have received the larger plant.
& if I just give it time the plant I received will grow big?

So it's ok for you to lie and scam people but I can't write an honest review. If you were a honest company and sent me the item I paid for I wouldn't have to leave this review.

The ordering process was straightforward and easy. The order acceptance and communication right through to delivery was very good. The quality of the goods received look good and healthy.

The firm communicated at all times and clarified any issues. The pots are really beautiful and hand crafted. Very pleased.

I’ve been looking for a decent online nursery for a while. I ordered a mature Olive tree and a couple of hardy palms for my patio because I wanted something that would give the garden a Mediterranean feel straight away. I placed the order on a Thursday evening and was surprised to get a confirmation email almost immediately with a clear delivery window. Both the Olive and the palms were properly secured in the box with good packaging, no broken branches or damaged leaves. The Olive tree in particular is a lovely shape and much bigger than I thought it would be. Our plants are doing brilliantly and have settled in really well. Happy customer and will be ordering again when I finish the back border.
