I’ve been looking for a decent online nursery for a while. I ordered a mature Olive tree and a couple of hardy palms for my patio because I wanted something that would give the garden a Mediterranean feel straight away. I placed the order on a Thursday evening and was surprised to get a confirmation email almost immediately with a clear delivery window. Both the Olive and the palms were properly secured in the box with good packaging, no broken branches or damaged leaves. The Olive tree in particular is a lovely shape and much bigger than I thought it would be. Our plants are doing brilliantly and have settled in really well. Happy customer and will be ordering again when I finish the back border.

We would definitely be using these guys again. I recently ordered a standard tree but unfortunately, the tree I received wasn’t the correct one. However, I was really impressed by the after-sales service. The manager stepped in, communicated clearly, and resolved the issue incredibly quickly. I really appreciated how professional and customer-focused they were. I would definitely order from them again.”

I ordered a punica granatum and it arrived within a few days of ordering. It is bigger than I expected but looks well and healthy!
I will happily order again.

Ordered online Chusan Palm and Cordyline Australis trees. They arrived on time with no messing about. I would highly recommend using this company.

I ordered two large pots from Garden Plants online on June 10th. The stated estimated delivery turnaround on the product page was 5-12 days.

By June 21, I still hadn't received any pots or any delivery notifications. I emailed and customer service advised the pot was still in Italy (!) but offered some options that were already in the UK. On Thurs 25th June, I confirmed an alternative and customer service confirmed that their transport manager 'will arrange your scheduled delivery from our UK stock. You should expect delivery of this over the next week'

On Tues 30th June, I still hadn't received any pots or delivery updates. I emailed to enquire and customer service responded on Weds July 1st: 'This will be with you this weekend, you’ll be notified around 48 hours prior'.

By Friday 3rd July, I hadn't received any notifications, which given the 48 hour window, made me concerned. I emailed but received no response. No pots were delivered over the weekend and I still haven't heard back from customer service or delivery updates.

On Monday, despite assurances that delivery would be over the weekend, the delivery window was 1st - 7th July. It is now Tues 7th July and the delivery window has changed again to 5th - 11th July. I have had no explanation of why the date keeps being moved back and no guarantee I will actually receive these pots. One plant I bought a pot for has now died it's been in its nursery pot for so long - I kept not temporarily planting it elsewhere as I kept being assured delivery was incoming.

I emailed again on Monday 6th July, requesting an immediate update but as of Tuesday 7th July, I still haven't heard back. I have tried calling the number several times at different times during working hours but the call is immediately dropped, so this almost feels like some sort of scam.

Given the incredible delay, false promises and now radio silence, I am forced to post a 1 star review in the hopes I will get some sort of response.

I ordered these pots through Garden Plants online for the good price but next time I will pay more with a more reliable company. I sincerely hope the company respond in good faith as I'm disappointed to see their responses to other negative reviews here (this is despite two customer services people being nice to speak to via email, although they have now gone complete silent). I have stated the facts above and hope they will respond fairly as they have not fulfilled their contract of '5-12 days' estimated delivery'.

Exactly what we ordered. Very happy with the healthy trees and delivery was smooth too.

In ordered a pomegranate tree as a gift and when it arrived it looked very healthy, and was well packaged with care instructions. I wouldn’t hesitate to order from them again - high quality and excellent communication!

Ordering was easy, and the topiary plant was delivered as a gift was as described and healthy. Downsides - like other reviews, the delivery was 2 days different to what was promised and planned for, and the delivery person refused to put it round the back of my 85 yo parent's house, just dropped it on the street doorstep.

Returning customer of this company. Delivered well within the delivery schedule and as usual my tree was in excellent condition I can’t recommend Garden Plants Online they are my go to company for larger plants and trees

This website is likely fraudulent. It advertises for sale products which, in my case, it was unable to ship and then wouldn’t refund the money. Its invoice didn’t include a company name or a VAT number despite this being a legal requirement given they charged VAT. It broke GDPR to try to get me to remove an earlier version of this review. AVOID.

I ordered a lemon tree on 10 June, having been in contact with the company in advance. Their website states delivery in “5-12 days subject to your delivery post code”… They do not mention it is not in stock in the U.K. On 16 June they email that it is due for delivery into the U.K. on w/c 22 June. Having not delivered it that week I call them and the managing director says it has arrived in the U.K.and confirms “transport team” has scheduled it to be delivered on 29 or 30th June. It wasn’t. Order from this firm at your own risk.

Update #1: in breach of trust pilot t&cs, and GDPR, the company posted my name, email address and mobile number in a reply to this review as they didn’t think it was fair and wanted to force me to delete it. Fortunately trust pilot responded quickly to my take down request and deleted their reply.

Update #2: the tree is now due to be shipped on 7 July. Let’s see.

Update #3: You can’t make this up. 45 mins before delivery is due today they called to say that it won’t be delivered as the quality of the tree that they had been sent from Italy wasn’t good and asking me to wait until 27 July for another one... I have requested a full refund - I’ll post a final update as to how long they take to process it.

Update #4: After 3 emails requesting a refund which were ignored they proposed shipping a tree thar didn’t meet my requirements. I have initiated a chargeback via Mastercard.

Plants took nearly a month to arrive, and when they did nothing to what the pictures show on their website of plants twice the size of what actually arrived.

All great but the plants where so dry and wilting I am struggling to revive them need to speak to them to discuss....

Dreadful and appalling. Ordered a large plant which died off within 3 days of arrival . Their attitude beggars belief . Taking many days to respond . Then an admission that it looked like it had had “transport shock” and I was to repot it and it would come back

When I pointed out I had bought a large plant that I expected to be healthy, many days later they responded by showing me a picture of how it was when it was delivered! Refusing to accept that they bear responsibility for transport shock not me ! Going to visa disputes now

I received and email with a delivery date and took a day off work to receive the delivery. They cancelled the delivery.

I again recieved an updated delivery date and took a day off work to receive the delivery. They cancelled a second time.

I then got a message saying my order had been delivered when I was at work and I hadn't received an email about delivery.

They are now showing me pictures of my order being just left at the top of my drive in full view of anyone going past.

They could have left it hidden behind bins hidden, which is also under a security camera. But I'm been told I selected an option to say it could be left safe.

The end of the drive is not safe.

EDIT: Since they used the word and are accusing customers of lying, lets get this straight. They are the liars. I have three emails telling me that deliveries were "delayed", one changing the time on the day, a second tell me it would then be delivered another day, then a third doing the same, saying it would delivered a on a third occasion.

They say delivery happened 2nd of June, I received no confirmation of this, I was at work this day, i'm unsure why they are claiming I took a month holiday. Yes I took a holiday, from the 8th, not anything to do with delivery.

If only I could attach photos to this review you would see their "Safe Place", their claimed safe place is around 10ft from a busy public road. They left the parcel when I was at work. They failed the first two deliveries, one which they have lied about.

Even a moron would see that this wasn't a safe place to leave the order. But clearly they are not as intelligent as a moron.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY JUST DUMP DELIVERIES IN FULL PUBLIC VIEW AND CLAIM IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY FOR HAVING A JOB AND BEING AT WORK.

Ive just taken delivery of a pomegranate tree and though took ages for delivery I was communicated to throughout. I am pleased with my delivery. Hope it grows nicely.

I ordered a pot from them and it’s been in transit for over a month. No communications whatsoever and multiple promises about it being delivered on the weekend each time I call. Will be requesting a charge back from my credit card company.

My new tree arrived on time as promised in excellent condition. Thank you
