If I could give more than 5 stars I certainly would! Lucy Briscoe from the Stockton Branch of Core Legal was absolutely outstanding with handling the sale of my former home and the purchase of my new one..Lucy replied to my emails quickly and efficiently I could not of getting through it without her.. Lucy goes above and beyond to advise and reassure when needed most..Just like to say Thank You for everything Lucy.

We are first time buyers therefore the conveyancing process was unknown to us. Matthew Dickenson from Core Legal managed our case. He dealt with our case quite well, although we would have liked to have had more contact with him, his co-worker Vivi kept us in the loop as much as we chased for updates. They moved things along at pace and always endaveoured to get back to us at the earliest opportunity available. One star is too much. I can't quite decide what the balance of apathy and incompetence should be as it changes every time I call. The person dealing with my case was always 'on the phone / tied up / on annual leave'. Even their out-of-office replies have spelling mistakes. Avoid.

I used Core Legal Solicitors for my first house remortgage. Everything done on time and on the date chosen by me. Good communication and fast replies to my emails - I asked a lot of questions due to my limited knowledge about the remortgage process and their responses helped to decrease my level of stress. Fast and efficient, they were proactive in getting things done- because of this we were able to complete on time despite delays on the seller’s side.

I rang a couple of times aswell and always had a response and guidance thanks to Nicole and Mathew. The only improvement I would suggest is that for first time buyers, they should have an initial call to lay out expectations so that buyers know what to expect from this process- on the other hand, watching youtube videos helped understand what they do and that the delays are always from 3rd parties.

Matthew was great and was responsive. They made some administrative errors unrelated to my purchase and sometimes I had to probe for more information as it wasn't always presented to me.
They were pretty cheap and recommended to me by my mortgage advisor.
I would use them again and have recommended Matthew to a relative who is also purchasing.

If I can give them zero starts I would!!! Completed sale of property Oct 2022, After months of no response and Core legal missing first exchange date. By Feb 2023 they hadnt submitted application to land registry. By July, I asked different solicitors to chase up my application and was informed that Land registry sent a request to Core Legal and never got any replies, they were issued a warning of cancellation of registration and they still never replied, application was cancelled in May and I wasn’t informed!!! They are a nightmare, avoid at all cost

Core Legal were excellent and the customer service from was outstanding. They were so efficient that they were chasing us! I would absolutely recommend them as it made the process very easy when it could have been stressful.
