Was nervous about the process of selling my house. But convey law and especially Lauren Thomas was there for me every step off the way. Nothing was to much trouble for them.

The sale of my apartment was quite complicated and took over 6 months to be completed because of delays in getting a lease extension and the need of arranging for a retention in case of repairs needed to be carried out after the sale. However, Lauren was very patient and explained all this to m. She was always attentive and responded to my emails promptly.

Jodie did a terrific job. She kept me up to date as the sale progressed.
It was done in a timely fashion and I am happy to recommend Convey Law.

Be prepared for a 3 times the final fee compared to the original quote. So it may look like competitive fee at the start but thats not where it will end up

Most important challenge is you can almost NEVER get hold of them on the phone and will delay some basic things. They will make you fill the same forms multiple times and blame you for not filling the online forms fully (even if you did!) - probably delay tactics.

We were selling a property and the query responses from us will sit for days with them before they forward it on. Even if they just need to send the same details to the buyers solicitors.

The assigned solicitor will not be the one working on the case most time and likely to be an admin or a jr. trainee.

This is our 5th property transaction in UK and our worst conveyancing experience. Ironically we chose to work with them based on Trustpilot reviews, hopefully this review should lend a balance

Alex and Imogen’s team were excellent - we just sold our leasehold flat with them. They were responsive and help get things progressed well. When we had concerns they explained things clearly to us. Best conveyancers we have interacted with and will use again.

We used this firm to handle the conveyancing for the sale of our house. From the outset, we provided clear and accurate information about the property, including the fact that it was a relatively new, three-year-old new-build property. We chose this firm primarily because they provided what appeared to be a competitive and affordable quotation.

Throughout the entire process, all communication was conducted via email. However, just one week before exchange and completion, we received a pro forma invoice showing an additional charge of almost £1,200.

At no point during the preceding few months were we notified by email that these additional charges would be incurred. When we challenged this, we were told that the notification had apparently been sent by post. This was particularly concerning given that all correspondence throughout the transaction had been handled by email, and we had never received the alleged postal notification.

I specifically questioned why such an important financial notification had been sent by post when all previous correspondence had been via email, but I received no satisfactory explanation or response.

As a result, we are now approximately £1,200 out of pocket, an expense we were never made aware of and had not budgeted for. Had these charges been clearly communicated at the outset or during the transaction, we could have made an informed decision about how to proceed.

We feel extremely disappointed by the lack of transparency and communication, particularly so close to completion. In our view, unexpected charges of this size should never come as a surprise to a client at the final stage of a property transaction. Also, reading other reviews, it does not look like a one off, seems like they do it to everybody.

We will be taking this matter further legally.

The service provided by my Conveyancer was poor and inaccurate. They added unnecessary costs to the transaction and made what should have been a simple transaction difficult.

Sometimes the communication wasn’t great.
Our sales progresser could never get hold of them. We didn’t always get answers back within the 48 hour period. We had to answer the same questions numerous times which I think we may of been charged for.
The conveyor when we did speak to them were very pleasant and helpful.
Would I recommend them? I’m not really sure I would, mainly because of the communication issue.
The online app system used wasn’t very intuitive and we had to ring office to help numerous times and then log back in.

Sophie Carey was our conveyancer. She was responsive throughout the transaction, we advised we were on a tight deadline due to school term dates and did her best to get us in our new home on time.

The portal is useful, if a bit tricky to navigate initially. I had to call to request some help when setting up our file and the phone was answered quickly and the issue resolved straightaway.

Jazmine Briganti was also lost helpful in sorting out a letter we needed for the Local Authority during our transaction.

Like with all solicitors nothing happens quickly but our experience with Convey law, who we have used on a few occasions now was good and everything you'd expect when purchasing a house or land. Like with all solicitors if you're quick at returning everything given to you to complete then they act in a timely manner.

They mainly deal via email which i would say is the easiest way to communicate with them, getting back to you within the next working day most times. You can phone but they're a firm that deals more efficiently using emails otherwise you schedule a phone call which is the simplest way to talk directly with your conveyancer.

Our process was complicated due to issues on the sellers side but our conveyancer Alana was informative and knowledgeable throughout completing each stage as quickly as is possible when dealing with other clients at the same time and once able to proceed acted as expected in a timely fashion.

Overall very happy with the service Convey Law gave us and we would highly recommend them.
