Rhian and her team were extremely helpful and patient with our move from start to finish. As first time buyers the whole process was overwhelming and confusing but she explained everything and made the process a hell of a lot easier than I first expected. I was under the impression that Trustpilot is a platform where customers are able to share honest reviews based on their own experiences. Unfortunately, my original review was removed, without any specific reason being provided to me….
I am therefore posting my review again because I believe people should be able to make an informed decision about who they choose to handle their remortgage.
This review is based on my own experience with Convey Law and the service I received throughout the remortgage process. I feel it is important for potential customers to understand what they may experience before placing their trust in a company to handle such an important financial and legal matter.
I am happy to stand by what I originally wrote, as it reflects my genuine experience and concerns.
I hope this review remains available so that other customers can consider it alongside the positive reviews and make their own informed decision. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Convey Law, particularly with the way my remortgage was handled.

From the very beginning, the matter was slow and frustrating. I experienced what I consider to be repeated mistakes, poor communication and unnecessary delays. I had to repeatedly chase for progress and clarification, which was extremely stressful when dealing with an important remortgage.

What is particularly unacceptable is how the matter has ultimately been handled. I never asked Convey Law to stop acting for me. I never withdrew my instructions and I never requested that my file be closed. Despite this, I received an email from F stating that they had decided to cease acting and that my file would be passed to their Aborted Transaction Team.

I was previously told that there was “very little confidence” in their ability as my conveyancer and that the relationship had “completely broken down.” I strongly dispute that characterisation. I raised concerns and questions because I expected my conveyancer to handle my matter properly. Raising concerns should not be portrayed as an instruction to terminate the relationship.

I have made it clear that I still want my remortgage to proceed and that, if Fraser does not wish to continue dealing with my case, I would expect Convey Law to allocate another conveyancer or solicitor to take over the matter rather than simply abandoning it.

The fact that a client can be left in this position during an active remortgage, despite not asking the firm to stop acting, is extremely concerning.

Overall, my experience has been one of slow progress, mistakes from the outset, poor communication, having to chase repeatedly, and ultimately being told that the firm would stop acting when that was never my instruction.

I am now having to formally challenge the decision and seek clarification about the handling of my file, the status of my remortgage and the potential consequences of the firm’s decision.

Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend Convey Law for a remortgage, particularly if you expect proactive communication, attention to detail and reliable progression of your matter.

It was progressing okay, snails pace as with any solicitors. They did keep asking for payments at every stage £30 here, £40 to process that document ect..

A few months before completion we went over the lease situation on the house via email and they confirmed it was all okay.

A week before completion they stated it could not proceed without the lease situation being resolved, it would take 3-4 months.

Very unprofessional, would not trust their knowledge

And the best part I owe them £60 for the pleasure of having to start all over again 👌

I had a good experience with convey law they kept me updated on the progress of the sale of my house also when the money came through I had it straight away unlike what happened when I sold my first house some years ago when the solicitor kept my money for weeks so pretty good experience

We had a very tricky buyer and Phil and his team remained focussed and professional. All at a very reasonable cost too. Thank you, I will return when I need your services in the future.

Very good if you’re ok with online

We experienced very good service during the sale of our house from the conveyancer Lauren and her team including Helen and Sinead.
The staff were always friendly and helpful, responsive and provided weekly updates detailing the status of our sale.
The only negative is we didn’t find the portal very user friendly and had to seek support on numerous occasions. However a dedicated support team were accessible and very helpful.
So overall a very good experience and we’ve no concerns proceeding to our Purchase.

Staff all great especially Lauren forbes, Helen and Sinead kept me informed along the way as to progress of sale, very happy.

Super straightforward process for buying our first home!
Jasmin was lovely and very knowledgeable about the process. She was very helpful and friendly and always there if I needed her!
I found the app stuff a little clunky as my bank wasn’t one of the approved banks on their automatic linking system, so I had to do it the old fashioned way with statements, but that was easy enough.
There is still some mystery about each of the small bits that they do to get us to completion but we got copies of all the reports and information and I trusted that things were progressing well unless otherwise mentioned.
All in all, great straightforward experience, with decent communication between us!

I was referred by a friedn who had use Convey Law service for conveyancing purpose in past so rather than using a solicitor locally I used Convey Law.
unfortunately my overall experience was not good. The conveyancer never responds to call. At the max with so many tries I could only speak with his junior who is always in a hurry to disconnect the call as if she has to pay charges for incoming call. They don't read mails properly. Their responses are vague never to the point. They add numerous fees at the end. They need to be reminded 10times for the initial fee paid. Their reception desk is also not very helpful.
I will raise a formal complaint also soon within Convey Law internal service team.
