Better Kitchens - aptly named. It's only when you have a Better Kitchen and then go, see and compare the other well known high street names that you realise that you actually do have a better kitchen!
The quality is far superior from the doors and hinges to the carcasses.
Ordering online is extremely easy and the online support is first class. From start to finish, the ordering, delivery and price was first class. Forget the rest and try the best!

Easy to use website, great customer service, great quality, great delivery service. No issues. No hassle. Can’t fault them really. Will be even better once a design tool is launched. Hardest thing is figuring out what end panels are needed. Also you need to draw your own plan.

They have been a complete waste of time.

I have been waited for days to receive a quote and they promised they would prepare a quote. And after 6-7 messages back and forth they got back to say that, and I quote: "We don't send quotes out to customers".

If so then how about you said this 10 days ago when I sent you all the plans and you said you would prepare the quote for what I needed and you had me waiting this long? You kept asking me for this and that and after I provided it you came back to say you do not actually do quotes to customers?! I mean, seriously?

Go figure. I have no idea who replies to the tickets but the service is awful and they do not know what they are doing basically.

They also have problems with their 3D planner and they can not see at their end what you put in your basket there for some reason. A right mess and I would not trust them for much else if they are not able to even put a quote together.

Excellent quality kitchen for the price. Very helpful staff at all stages, design (special thanks to Neil & Julian), order...and after sales when the inevitable extras are needed! Slight hiccup with what appeared to be a new member of staff giving the wrong advice during an after sale query, but this was promptly sorted by Julian when we highlighted it to him. Would highly recommend.

I ordered the kitchen units and doors and had to wait awhile for them to be made and delivered, but wow the wait was definitely worth it!
The units are beautiful and just what I wanted and just how I envisaged them. All bespoke to my own specifications and size.
Yes you do have to measure and plan your own design, for me that was all part of the enjoyment, but if that’s not for you you could just get a kitten fitter to help you plan and measure it.
I purchased the ready assembled units, they cost slightly extra money but glad I did as they are put together in the factory so properly assembled. I also paid a little extra for the two man delivery, again well worth the slightly extra money as they carried the very well packed assembled units into the kitchen. I was so impressed with the service and the quality of the kitchen units and doors. The kitchen fitter, tiler and other tradesmen that have done work for us have all commented that the units and doors are of really good quality, even saying they are better than some very well known kitchen companies.

I have recommended better kitchens to family and friends if they want a new kitchen, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again, however the units are that well made I don’t think it’s going to be for a good few years!

The kitchen is great quality and comes fully assembled which cuts down on time of fit. I particularly like the lack of excess packaging.
Delivery drivers were great, friendly and helpful.
The customer service team are helpful and easy to work with.
My only recommendation is that the wall unit fixings are small and not easy to get level. it would be much better if you sold a continuous rail, that could be put on the wall in line and then all units hung off it. It could be sold in 2m lengths (IKEA do something similar).
The only other minor comment is that the appliance spacer profiles only come in 580mm high which are not enough for a double oven. The website shoudl make clear you need to have two pairs to cover the gap or supply in 1200mm lengths as well.

Bought a kitchen from this company really sturdy units great value for money and exellent customer service

Having recently fitted a kitchen and utility room with units bought from better kitchens I thought I’d write a review.

I’ve fitted about 7 kitchens over the years from a range of suppliers including Wickes and have never experienced quality and service I have received from Better Kitchens.

I would strongly recommend them, in fact I’m building a self build house next year and will be getting my new kitchen from there too.

This is my first experience with Better Kitchens and I have to say I am very impressed. Communication has been excellent throughout and the quality of the kitchen is superb. All units came fully assembled and nothing was damaged in any way. I will be telling everyone how good they are.

Ordered a kitchen a few years ago, and I now need 2 additional units to match. And they will not let me purchase, as they have stupid minimum order amounts.

As a fairly competent diyer with msc trades experience and a couple of home and boat renovations achieved, I am so pleased to have finally found Better Kitchens. Having explored the commercial options (Howdens, Nisbets etc), the 'premium' punters choices (Wren - that's what they say anyway - hoho, at your own risk...) and the build it yourself variants (B&Q / Ikea etc), I can confirm personally that my experience with Better Kitchens was absolutely on point - surpassing many of these other options on quality and cost - and on the occasion a cheaper option was available it was simply not comparable when looking at material, finish and component quality.

From the initial chat which was informative, intelligent and never pushy, to the estimate which was clear and concise and completely itemised, to delivery (ours was flat packed and palletised to York, for self install on a boat), everything was well considered and perfectly communicated. All shipped items were very well packed / protected and arrived with no sign of transit.

I understand the BK team prefer to ship assembled or install but in this instance the fit to a tapered hull and access through small hatches was so unique we opted to take responsibility for this ourselves. The BK team wasted no time in supplying excellent assembly instructions and verbal / video guidance when required.

When I realised we needed a couple of small additional pieces to match / fill in around some steel work, the team very quickly added our request to their production line and delivered the additional items within a few days. The colour of the new parts matched perfectly.

Having now lived with the install for over 2 years (apologies for the late review) it is good as new. We are due to renovate a new home soon and will be back in touch for our next kitchen! We recommend you to everyone.

Received our new kitchen today. Everything seems to be in order and looks like nice quality, so far so good. Otto and Jason the delivery guys were extremely helpful and friendly. An asset to the company!

I used to plan and sell kitchens for over 10 years
Bought this kitchen for my new house I planned it myself bit nervous ordering online.
The delivery came on time all units and parts there very impressed with quality of units pre-built at no extra cost
Only problem I had was screws were not long enough for handles email to company received new one two days later kitchen complete now very happy

very happy, from the planning through to delivery everything went smoothly and on time, i have now fitted the kitchen and am very happy, the quality of the units is v good and i have no issues at all, thank you

Totally incompetent customer service. Dont deliver the full order and don't tell you that parts are missing. When you need to urgently contact customer service you are told to submit a support ticket, then you don't hear anything for two days. Our kitchen fitters had to make a replacement part at our expense and Better Kitchens refused to compensate us for it using a clause in their small print. I certainly wouldn't use them again!

About 4 weeks ago maybe more I spoke to a man called Mitch, after sending several messages with absolutely no response, so thought I would ring, got told to submit my measurements of kitchen and I did on the same day, after 2 weeks I heard nothing so rang and spoke to mitch again who advised the lead time for plans was 2 weeks, fair enough but it would of been nice to be advised of this, buying a kitchen is quite stressful both financially and the added pressure of ensuring your measurements are right and you order correctly, I have still not heard a thing despite sending a further email, I do not understand as I am trying to give this company my business but the communication which is key when doing a project like this is appalling. Due to this delay I missed out on the sale which ended last month, I explained this in an email and also phone call as I'm on a tight budget. This is really disappointing as I love the kitchen styles on offer, but I have absolutely no faith in this company due to the above.

I hadn't heard of Better Kitchens but I found their product - and particularly the range of door colours and finishes - were higher quality than other, perhaps more well-known self-managed kitchen companies and certainly better than those from the big DIY sheds. Julian and the team were unfailingly helpful and answered lots of questions patiently, and even went out of their way to get a bottle of touchup paint from the manufacturers when they didn't carry it themselves. The units are solid, were easy to fit (and withstood our "customisations" well), and we are very happy with them. Good product at a good price, from a friendly, helpful team. Recommended.

Quality of kitchens is ok. few missed spots on doors etc but touched up ok (unwilling to wait 8
+ weeks for replacements). Delivery service is trash, takes weeks upon weeks for delivery, then they spit it into 2 deliveries a week apart. There "true handless" system needs you to go into "handles" to buy extra parts, £30+ for an end cap BTW!! Extremely easy to miss that you need these "handles" for your handless door(they changed the font size warning you need extra parts not included, says it all), parts came to an extra £1000 also so i guess thats why they dont rush to tell you. Over the 8+ weeks it took them to make the kitchen not once did anyone call saying that we where missing the handles for our handless door, they did call 2 times to ask about a white door panel i added by mistake but not once did they mention about handles. 3 months down the line im still waiting for parts. Also you if you have any issues with your deliveries rather than have someone talk to you over the phone about it and get it sorted out there they force you to go through there poor websites support ticket system, this is not something a good company would do.
