Getting rid of the one benefit that was the cornerstone of their business model, to add insult to injury they have the audacity to say paying 28 a month while having access to a single gym is still worth it because of all the videos they have! What a joke. 28 dollars a month is more than most gyms that are covered. No reason to join. Used to sing their praises, If I could give them zero stars I would. MAKE SURE TO SIGN THE PETITION. might not get them to stop the changes, but at the very least, at least they would see how many people are upset and will be cancelling their membership come July!

This company originally offer gyms in there network for one price. Now they have changed their policy, not honoring their customer agreements and prices. I canceled memberships that had a rate that can no longer be reinstated either grandfathered in to the rate or got a new opening gym special. This is absolutely horrible of doing customers.

This company had been good even though they raised it up to $28 for as many gyms as you want. I probally had a membership for 2 years, Now they want $28. Now they want $28 for the first gym, then $23 then $15 for the next gym. It would raise my membership to $86 per month. This is way beyond inflation. They should have kept the old price structure for the old membership and changed it for the new people.

The people who work the chat are the most unhelpful people. The box dissapeared and then they cnacelled the chat and when I got back on, I thought I gave them everything and they said I didn't but would not tell me what I was missing. They make it so difficult just to get a forgotten password.

They pulled the rug on everybody. They promised dozens of gym options for you to sign up. Now they’ve taken those dozens away and allow you to only choose 1. Good ol bait and switch

Similar to all of these fast food corporations, and under Brandonomics, Active & Fit is now getting in on the price gouging. Now wanting $23 PER GYM more ON TOP of the $28 plus tax for the Health Partners partnership. Isn’t it supposed to be an incentive for us to be going to gyms of our choice to stay healthy? I’ll be done with Active & Fit after this final month of June before they start ripping people off in our inflation economy. VOTE smart this November and let’s get back to not being poor.

Reason why i got active and fit was for being able to go to different gyms , now after a couple months, they are making me choose ONE gym only until June 30, why the sudden change?

SHADILY CLEARING OUT GOLD'S GYM MEMBERS

Like several people who have already commented, my account was curiously cancelled in April 2024 under the guise of "declined" Amex credit card transactions, for which no email notifications were sent. The customer service rep I spoke with let slip that they have had many calls about the same issue from members with Amex payment and Gold's Gym membership. This means you have to sign up again, and sign up with your existing gym again. I will note the interesting timing coinciding with Gold's Gyms refusing to take new members.

In my opinion, it is very interesting that many existing members were cleared from the system during the same month, who frequented the same brand of gym, at the same time the company's new policy was announced.

They changed their policy out of the blue. I signed up with active and fit for the benefit of having multiple gyms for a monthly fee. Don’t sign up with them.

Signed up for the two months offered . I cancelled within those two months . They charged me another month . Called to get refund . They stated you have to pay two times before you can get a refund . Because they set it up to pay two months at sign up it's not considered two payments .
What a scam . Very dishonest .

What made Active and Fit great was $28 a month for AS MANY gym memberships as you wanted. Now they’re charging an extra $23 PER extra gym. I spoke to customer service who claimed less than 1% of members had more than one gym membership. Doesn’t seem true but even if it is, why charge to extra money to less than 1% of members? I use to advocate for active and fit and now I’ll do the opposite. Just another company exploiting its members for extra money. They couldnt care less about their customers. Typical American greedy corporation. I’ll be cancelling by July 1st.

Worthless since they changed their business model, save your money and go direct through a gym.

Zero stars. They changed their vender code and in the process it defaulted back to an expired credit card (not on my doing) but theirs. Not I’m canceled and they want me to pay a deactivation fee for their mistake. What a scam. This has happened to 3 other people just from what I read. Also they changed the rules they want to charge $28 to $30 for a $10 gym membership!

Consistant with the other reviews - other than the staff needs a lesson in customer service ( suggest they go and shop even at Nordstrom and learn how to treat customers )… other than that the plan is totally worthless as it only allows for 1 gym and more than likely you can get a better deal going direct - in some case 50% going direct for the same gym …. Not sure what the value management thinks they provide and they def have not been able to train their underlings with a good reply other than lame party lines

I would not use active and fit. They did not honor my refund despite being told previously that I could receive a refund. The first time I called them, they picked up the phone and then immediately hung up. They truly sound like a scam

Before the membership price hike this used to be a pretty good deal. Now it's pointless which is why I'm canceling my membership/enrollment. Just a small FYI, their staff are beyond capable of sending more than one email per day but choose not to. I sent an email for assistance with my login information and they take a week to reply. Literally 7 days to respond to an email. Dealing with these dingleberries it took 4 weeks to resolve the login issue which ended up being a "glitch" on their end.

Just a few short days after the memo came out about members only being able to choose ONE gym location, my existing active & fit membership was cancelled due to “declined payments”. I find this to be very interesting considering for the last 4+ years Amex has never declined an active & fit payment. Upon further investigation the gym I attend is saying this has happened to all “active & fit” members and now we are struggling to gain access back to the gyms because even after resubscribing the company will let you sit on the phone for a disrespectful undisclosed amount of time and when I spoke with someone in the chat they were still unable to assist the gym in getting the membership fixed. Speaking of chat assistance the assistant lied to me probably per corporate direction today my payments were declined. Funny I never got a notification to inform me of declined payment just a canceled account. Sounds like the company is trying to clear out any grandfathered agreements/commitments and have everyone resign up under this new plan they have set up. At the end of the day this sounds extremely sneaky and underhanded and potentially illegal.

My credit card was declined (I believe it was their system error) and before I could take any action, they cancelled my membership and said I had to pay the start-up cost again. I immediately changed to One Pass which has more benefits!

Do Not Buy From This Guy! Absolutely horrible experience. Fraud upon Fraud..They are not what they claim to be not all the gyms on their list will actually let you in and their customer support is horrible. Also begging on July 1, 2024 you cannot join unlimited gyms for the $28. New policy is first gym $28 each additional $23.

its a scam, only reason i signed up was because of the $28 multiple gym membership deal, now they are changing it after so many people signed up for the scam. do not sign up for it. At this point gym themselves have better deal. And when I asked for a refund they said i was out of my 5 day cancelation period. so they keep my first and second month fees.
