Subscription Scam, and bad product
Don’t bother spending your money on these products. In the few cases you do get your order, they’re cheap and not worth the money. There are so many alternatives to these products, so I’d recommend going to other reliable sellers with good reviews. They use terms of service and subscriptions to lock you in to paying them for up to 6 months at a time, and then don’t even send you the product. Huge scam, unfortunately, and even reaching out to customer service is a waste.

Absolutely scum!!!! Ordered a free hot chocolate which tastes vile by the way!! Like dirt out the ground next month £15 taken out my bank every month until I cancelled through the bank they are absolutely disgusting I tried emailing them to cancel and messaging through Instagram to be ignored there is no clear indication of a subscription when you order so be very very careful because I haven’t got the time to sit and read terms and conditions!

I found their communication extremely friendly and their delivery extra quick. I so far tried cookies and cream syrup on toasts and tea, this is delish. I also love the sweet chilli mayo, had it tonight in my sandwich, terribly yummy. The other I tried but didn't like is the one thousand island sauce, may be because the expiry date is in 3 months time compare to the ones I like with a bit more time on them.i still got to try 9 other products from them, I'm so packed with those delish for a very long time thanks to their incredible half price sales. I know... I'm just greedy :)

Went ahead with the “first hot chocolate free offer” with no mention at all of being signed up for a 6 month subscription!! They started taking money every 4 weeks and then all of a sudden they were taking the money as and when they wanted to!!
After reading reviews on here I took the advice and blocked the Payment with my bank only for then to send me threatening emails! After about a week it finally stopped.
Yesterday they started again as my bank had disputed the charges, now I am getting threatening emails again saying they will send to a debt collection company!!
When buying my first order there was no mention on a contract and they know it!!
It takes ages to get a response from them and when you do it is only ever someone called Gemma who never actually answers your questions!
I will be disputing this further with my bank and reporting to trading standards so please stop threatening me!!

Absolute scammers products can cause a reaction
Absolute scammers. I had a serious allergic reaction to their products. Awaiting a GP appointment as they require evidence of my reaction. Severe hives, redness and swelling to my face. When requesting a cancellation to my unknown subscription they tell me I can’t. Appalling customer service, refused to take my reaction into consideration. DO NOT BUY or USE THESE PRODUCTS. Trading standards here I come to actually see what’s in their items!!

I felt scammed and robbed
I felt scammed and robbed, I wasn't told through even email I was subscribed to anything only my orders (no subscription). By the time the 14 days are over your being charged again and then you realise, your absolutely f*&%"€d because they have you in a 6 month subscription and have you robbed as well as threaten you when one payment is missed cause your so broke from them, telling you they will send your info for a debt collection agency.and this so called " Gemma" need to find a job cause the way she emails if the height of rudeness and far from customer care. Have just recently emailed consumer rights Europe who is making a case against this.

Absolute pigs of a company, got pulled into a subscription that is not clear (they say it is) my order didn't even say I was in a subscription and when I did. Find out it was from an aggressive email telling me I missed payment and if I don't pay they wil get a DCA after. So vile and rude and when I said this too there "Gemma" she or whoever it is showed no respect or empathy towards me. A sick company. There is not a way in which a subscription policy can be started unless the customer selects a subscription product and completes the checkout procedure and approves the terms and conditions of the subscription policy and refund procedures.

This is not in line with distance selling regulations and bears all the hallmarks of a subscription trap as outlined by trading standards e-crime team - look on the trading standards website for subscription trap.
Hiding behind terms and conditions after you click “claim free sample” is not a legal subscription and is a scam.
SkinnyCaffe is in breach of 3 regulations:
Distance Selling Regulations
Regulation 55 of the Payment Services Directive
Consumer Protection Rights.
If you contact your bank, they are obligated by the Financial Conduct Authority to stop payments to such scams.
If you are scammed report to Trading Standards e-crime team and Action Fraud
SkinnyCaffe will then resort to threatening harassment emails which if they continue can be reported to both Action Fraud and the Police as they then overstep the mark into Harassment, extortion and racketeering. All illegal.
The ASA have red flagged them as non-compliant, this is what they have to say :
“Problem Food Claims and Misleading advertising: Skinny Caffe breaks UK Ad Rules by making unauthorised health claims and by omitting material information about their subscription packages on its website theskinnycaffe.com.
Section 15 of the CAP Code states that only health claims listed as “authorised” on the EU Register of Nutrition and Health claims are permitted in marketing communications. In order to comply, an advertiser needs to show that the specific health claims for each of their advertised products are listed as authorised on the EU Register and that the authorised claims relate to the relevant ingredient/s in the product. Similarly, any claim that states or implies that a food has particular beneficial nutritional properties because of its ingredients must comply with the criteria set out in the Annex to the EU Register.
The website theskinnycaffe.com makes a number of unauthorised health claims for food supplements including “Thermosyn Weight Loss Capsules”, “Weight Loss Hot Choc”, The ingredients within the products are not listed on the EU Register as authorised for the claimed effects, and as such, amount to unauthorised health claims. Therefore, the health claims should not be made for the Skinny Caffe products.
Section 15 of the CAP Code also states that health claims that refer to a rate or amount of weight loss are not acceptable in marketing communications for food supplements.
The website also contains before and after images which refer to a specific amount of weight loss within a certain timeframe. As the product is a food supplement, health claims that refer to a rate or amount of weight loss breach the Code, such as “I lost 5lb in one week using the capsules and skinny caramel coffee”.
Section 3 of the CAP Code has rules on misleading advertising. It makes clear that free claims should only be made when the product or service is actually free and that qualifications to offers should be made sufficiently clear.
The Skinny Caffe fails to make clear when a six month subscription applies when purchasing a single product on theskinnycaffe.com. By omitting this material information, the ad misleads consumers.
Despite repeated requests from the CAP Compliance team, The White Star Key Group Ltd trading as the Skinny Caffe continues to advertise problematic health claims and weight loss claims on its website, theskinnycaffe.com, whilst also omitting material information about their subscription packages.
Due to The White Star Key Group Ltd’s non-compliance and disregard for the CAP Code, the CAP Compliance team took the decision to place its company details on this section of the ASA website on 6 August 2019. These details shall remain in place until they remove the claims outlined above from its website, theskinnycaffe.com.”

Signed up for a free sample. Now they take £15.95 off me every 20 days for a pack of hot chocolate. Never been able to get intouch with them. Im now on my 10th pack of hot chocolate which i do not want. Cant cancel subscription for 6 months (9 packs). But can never get intouch with them to cancel. Absolute joke. Scammers.
