The Seam connected me with Fraser Bruce Miller who mended my two woolen jumpers to a very high quality. I was impressed by how perfectly he had matched the colour and type of wool, to the extent that I couldn’t see any evidence of the previous holes. Money very well spent!

My almost new leather shoes had salt damage which had left one of them with awful red patches. The result of Tessa’s repair has left them looking absolutely superb and better than new. Tessa was a pleasure to deal with and I couldn’t recommend The Seam highly enough. Thank you.

Lyudmilla did a superb job in repairing my OSKA black knitted top. It had previously been unwearable due to prominent moth damage on the front of the garment. Now I shall be able to wear it once again.

I have sent in my merino sweater to repair a small hole.
Although it took a very long time, I have to say that Lyudmila did an incredible job and is the first example of true invisible mending that I've encountered.

I have had multiple moth holes mended in everything from thick wool knit to lime green cashmere to men’s suits and the results have been fantastic! These makers are really miracle workers and it’s worth it to salvage something you love so dearly. Highly recommend!

Laura ter Kuile did an amazing job repair my knitwear that eaten by moths and a leather jacket that had ripped. I really appreciated how quick the repairs were done. I am so happy I can wear these pieces again.

I’m sure if the service received was great that it would be worth 5 stars, but - as another complainant on here has said - should anything go wrong, or the service be sub par, then the customer service is appalling. I had the misfortune of sending my dresses to someone who missed fixing a hem, poorly fixed a tear so it was still visible and looked ‘botched’, and returned the third dress with the tear still in it. I was overcharged (nominally as she couldn’t seem to calculate VAT), and then asked to collect goods when I’d already paid postage. All in all a poor experience. When I wrote to customer services to ask for a refund on the dress that had been sent back unfixed they told me to just speak to the fixer. I’m not throwing good money after bad to send the dress back. Despite follow-ups, my emails are ignored. I just want a refund. I would never use this company again and nor would I recommend it. Just go to a local place where they can help.

Sooooo happy to have found The Seam and the great women that work at the Westfield branch in Stratford, they are kind and attentive and reassured me on how everything was going to get fixed/altered etc and the job was excellent. Very happy 😊

My best discovery of the past two years. I’ve returned many times over for the flawless service. Just makes life easier. It’s endlessly useful to everyone, but if you’re short in height and everything is too long, The Seam is an absolute must.

Fast responses, easy to contact, great communication, really clear pricing and options on quotes, and brilliant repair work. The Seam have repaired and restored two bags and a pair of jeans for me this year, and I'm loving being able to use them all again.
