I have worked with one editor, Kirstin (EM 1787), for several years. Her work for me and attention to detail has been outstanding. When I ask her to look at specific details in my fiction writing, for example, over usage of dialog tags or timeline consistency, she provides on point feedback every time. I have even asked her for short story title suggestions, some of which I have used in my published short story collections. We have developed a great working relationship. Scribendi and this editor have helped make me a better writer and with their help I will publish a polished first novel soon. I highly recommend this service.

Helpful Grammar Editing, but Not the Right Match
The times I have used Scribendi, I have generally been very satisfied with the service. This time, I received excellent help with grammar, which was what I had requested. The editor also raised several relevant questions about the content, highlighting areas that were unclear.
However, overall, this was a somewhat unfortunate match, as the editor evidently did not share the same theoretical perspective or writing approach. I felt that the editor became too involved in the text and made changes that related more to style and the theoretical framework than to language improvement. In several instances, the editing seemed to move beyond language revision and more toward co-authorship.
