DO NOT USE QUALITY PARKING GATWICK / SAPPHIRE PARKING. I cannot warn people strongly enough.
DO NOT USE – ABUSIVE CALLS, CASH DEMAND & CAR WITHHELD
DO NOT USE QUALITY PARKING GATWICK / SAPPHIRE PARKING. I cannot warn people strongly enough.
My problems began on 8 September after the widespread UK flight disruption resulted in my return flight being cancelled. I called the number supplied with my Meet & Greet booking simply to explain that I was stranded and would collect my car the following day.
Instead of helping me, the person on the phone became verbally abusive. After the conversation ended, HE CALLED ME BACK TWICE, screaming, swearing and shouting obscenities at me. I regarded these repeated unwanted abusive calls as harassment. I have retained my call history as evidence.
When I finally arrived at Gatwick the following night to recover my car, it got worse. I dealt with THREE different people on the phone who laughed, jeered and mocked me while they still had possession of my vehicle and keys.
Their own written terms state £15 per additional day. Yet they demanded £25 before returning my car.
I was initially instructed to transfer the money to a PERSONAL ACCOUNT showing the name “Muhammad A”. I asked why I was being asked to pay an individual’s account rather than the parking company. Instead of answering properly, they continued mocking me.
After I questioned the personal-account payment, I received a call from an UNKNOWN NUMBER telling me I could pay CASH instead.
I specifically demanded a receipt.
When the driver eventually arrived, MY CAR WAS NOT HANDED BACK UNTIL I PAID HIM £25 CASH. I paid because I wanted my vehicle returned. I was promised a receipt by email. I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT.
I then had to pay a further £8 Gatwick charge. Their written additional-day charge was £15, yet this episode cost me £33.
The sequence is extraordinary: £15 stated in their terms → £25 demanded → personal account “Muhammad A” → I question it → unknown caller tells me to pay cash → car not released until £25 cash is handed over → promised receipt never arrives.
When my car was finally returned, it also had a horrible smell inside and I subsequently had to have it valeted.
I have retained the booking, call history, photograph of their £15 terms and conditions and evidence of my £30 cash withdrawal at Gatwick. I have reported the matter to Gatwick Parking Services and intend to refer the circumstances to Trading Standards and HMRC for them to investigate.
You may think these cheap Meet & Greet companies save you money. In my experience, THEY DON’T.
Park the car yourself, walk or take the shuttle, or pay extra for a professional Gatwick parking provider. You are handing these people your vehicle and keys while you are abroad.
Based on my experience, I consider this rogue behaviour of the worst kind. The appropriate authorities can determine whether any offences have occurred.
DO NOT USE QUALITY PARKING GATWICK / SAPPHIRE PARKING. I WOULD NEVER HAND THEM MY CAR OR KEYS AGAIN.
Date of experience: 9 September 2026.
Absoulutely diabolical from start to…
Absoulutely diabolical from start to finish. Rude, ignorant and arrogant staff. Didn't meet on time and claimed not to have had a phone call, had to leave keys so didn't miss my flight. On return the car was still in the Short Stay car park, the keys and parking ticket were gone. They claimed they had lost the keys and then 2.5 hours later after 15+ phone calls (nobody ever called back as promised) the keys miraculously turned up. Quite shocking how this 'company' behaves. Bordering on criminal and should not be allowed to operate. The rating on Compare the Parking is completely false and assume this website is owned by the same organisation

⭐ 0/5 STARS
⭐ 0/5 STARS — AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Nearly missed our flight, hidden charges, threats & absolute chaos
Would give -5 stars if I could. DO NOT BOOK.
This company is the worst experience I’ve ever had — unprofessional, dishonest, misleading, rude and threatening from start to finish. Here’s exactly what happened: Arrival — Confusion, hidden charges & nearly missed our flight
• Instructions were vague and unclear — no office, no proper meeting point, just told to find “a random lady” somewhere. Wasted ages searching, felt dodgy from the start.
• Deliberately misleading pricing: Email stated clearly “Our service is fully inclusive – you do NOT need to pay any airport levy charges” — then buried at the very bottom in tiny print: “Airport levy: £8.00 each way (not included)”. Pure bait-and-switch. We were forced to pay £16 extra on the spot while rushing, with no choice.
• All the confusion searching for someone + last-minute charge meant we nearly missed our flight completely — stressful beyond belief before a holiday.
✈️ Return — Cancelled flight, 2.5hr wait, threats, terrible service
• Our flight was cancelled. 15 mins after finding out I phoned straight away to let them know we couldn’t collect that day and asked if there’d be extra fees — they said yes, £20. We agreed and were told: “Just call tomorrow 30 mins before you arrive.”
• Next day — called 45 mins before arrival. Went to the car park stated in the email — they told us to drive to Premier Inn. Got there — nobody there. Called again — told to go to BP petrol station instead. Who arranges collection at a petrol station?!
• Customer service was appalling throughout: Rude tone, short with us, kept hanging up mid-call saying “other customers are calling” — absolutely disgraceful attitude.
• Every call we were told “driver’s 10–15 mins away” — repeated for TWO AND A HALF HOURS. When we finally lost patience, they got ABUSIVE and THREATENED to keep our car — told us we weren’t getting it back. We actually had to call the police — who told us this company is already known to them and “bad news”.
• After 2hr 30mins they phoned us asking where WE were — claiming the car had been waiting there for 10 mins already! We went to collect it — nobody there, no keys handed over. Called again — told the key was just left sitting on the front wheel, in full view of anyone walking past. Completely reckless — anyone could’ve taken it or driven off.
• On top of all that — we were charged multiple times entering/exiting the airport while being sent back and forth between locations.
Hidden fees, lies, endless waiting, being sent between locations with no one there, rude staff who hang up on you, threatening to keep your car, and leaving keys on a wheel for anyone to grab. This isn’t a professional service — it’s a shambles.
Save your money, your stress and your peace of mind — PAY THE EXTRA AND BOOK PROPER AIRPORT PARKING INSTEAD. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. If I could leave zero stars I would. Absolute disgrace.
Seriously Shadey
Very difficult to get to answer the phone, on drop off employee had no ID. The whole interaction was ver shady, managed to get a photo of the guy but he wasn't keen. I was seriously concerned that when I got back of holiday that my car would be in a shipping container on the way to Africa! I have subsequently found my dashcam has been disabled anf the sd card stole. AVOID!!!
AVOID AVOID AVOID!!
AVOID AVOID AVOID!!
Arrived at Gatwick to pick up my car only to be told that they have lost my keys. I waited an hour and still they couldn’t find them. They then told me to catch a cab home and that they would reimburse me? Which I’m still waiting for, not looking hopeful. They said they would deliver my car to my house after they have arranged for a key to be cut. I rang several times the next morning and no answer until lunchtime I finally got through to be told the car will be ready to pick up at 5.00 and they found the keys. So I had to get a lift all the way back to Gatwick as I live over a hour away. They were also very rude on the phone. They told me to park at the bp garage where they will be waiting and no surprise, they weren’t there. I called they said they are coming in ten mins. Still no show. I call again and they tell me to go to the orange car park 5th floor. I go and find my car there with the keys left on the wheel and nobody to be seen. I then had to pay an additional charge to exit the car park. This is absolutely appalling. How this company is still operating at Gatwick is beyond me. Never will I be using sapphire parking again.
Horrific experience
Horrific experience. Cant believe these guys are on compare your parking. Waited 1 hour 40 for our car and they just left it in the car park with the key on the wheel without telling us it was there.
Absolutely worst company ever
Absolutely worst company ever - not reliable at all, very difficult to communicate and extremely rude. They told us our car had a problem so it could not been moved away from where we left it, so it was parked for the whole week onsite of the Airport at Gatwick. When we finally found out where it was parked, the door was open, key on the wheel and the battery completely dead. Had to call AA for a jump start and also, Gatwick Airport was asking us to pay 560 GBP for getting out of the Parking. Fortunately, there was left a ticket in the car from the company - we nearly throw it away, thinking it was from when we got there - which gave us permission to drive off, paying 10 GBP. Absolutely horrendous Company, never ever again.
So bad terrible experience
So bad terrible experience, 2 hour wait very unbelievably rude staff , wrong carpark , left key on top of tyre , please do not use !¡
Long waits and horrendous cigarette smoke smell
Unsure how this organisation is still running. From the very lengthy wait at drop off to the horrendous smell of cigarette smoke after the car was returned. The car was left unattended for collection and I happened to locate my key on my drivers side tyre. When climbing back into my car upon return there was a horrible lingering smell of cigarette smoke. I have been driving the car a few days and the smell is still there. Awful attitude and very rude over the phone when simply phoning to say we had landed. Unfortunately, I had to give one star as zero was not possible. For the sake of you and your car stay far away!
Absolute crap company
Worst ever company thing 10 times before you go them they’re the worst. I just came back on the 2nd of September and the way they treated me on the way back. I had to wait one hour to deliver the car and the guy who I spoke to the way he was addressing me like someone who knows me keeps calling me brother brother no respect to customers whatsoever they’re so so unprofessional then hour later called me to say the cars there on a particular level in GATWICK AIRPORT North terminal I went to look for the car and found it then they told me and certain place I found the car locked. The guy is not there called them back. I said the keys are on the tire one of the tires so literally left the keys on top of the tires could’ve been stolen easily. That’s how reckless they are.
The worst 'greet and meet' service I've…
The worst 'greet and meet' service I've ever used. Avoid them at all costs. They do not answer the phone, they return a car 1.5 hours after the contacted time - and are rude and unpleasant.
Do NOT use Sapphire Parking or iPark…
Do NOT use Sapphire Parking or iPark Gatwick (booked via Ezybook).
We booked Meet & Greet parking at Gatwick. Following the fire at Rowfant on 22 August, we landed on 25 August to be told by Sapphire Parking that our vehicle had been completely destroyed in the fire.
For nearly two weeks, we had to deal with our insurer and independent forensic investigators to locate the vehicle. On 5 September, the investigator formally reported that they had inspected the secure compound and confirmed our car was destroyed.
Just hours later that same evening, a Sapphire Parking driver called us out of the blue to say the car was actually completely intact and available for collection. We had to travel by train to Gatwick to retrieve it.
Upon collecting the car, we discovered:
It suffered zero fire damage, meaning they had completely lost track of where customer vehicles were for two weeks.
Illegal drugs (cannabis) and a packet of cigarettes were left inside our cabin, indicating unauthorized people had access to or occupied our vehicle while in their custody.
The rear tyre had a nail puncture.
Ezybook sold this service under "iPark Gatwick" while sub-contracting to Sapphire Parking without disclosure, and offered zero support throughout. This business demonstrates a total loss of vehicle control, severe negligence, and zero security. This matter has been reported to Sussex Police, Trading Standards, and Gatwick Airport Management. Avoid at all costs.
1 STAR
1 STAR — PLEASE READ BEFORE HANDING THEM YOUR CAR
I wish we had read the reviews properly before booking Sapphire Premium Parking at Gatwick. We certainly would not have handed them our car keys.
When our car was returned, we found that the dashcam cable had been physically disconnected and a significant amount of petrol had been used while the vehicle was in their possession.
I questioned the person who returned our car about what had happened and how the car had been used. Instead of giving us a clear explanation, he left very quickly, which made the situation even more concerning.
I understand that their terms may allow them to disconnect dashcams and that a Meet & Greet service requires the vehicle to be driven to and from a storage location. However, the overall experience and the way our concerns were handled left us with absolutely no confidence in this company.
Please do what we should have done: READ THE RECENT REVIEWS BEFORE BOOKING.
If you still decide to use them, photograph your mileage, fuel level, exterior and interior before handing over the keys, remove anything valuable from the car, and check everything carefully when it is returned.
We deeply regret choosing Sapphire Parking. We will never use them again and absolutely cannot recommend them.
Don’t make the same mistake we did.
Unprofessional and extremely poor customer service
They are terrible and the customer service was bother line racist. Asking me where i am from then suggesting i dont understand english. He micmic my speech because of my lisp condition then insulted my character that people like me like to runaway without paying. They held my car hostage when i challenged their waiting time he said and i quote if you keep talking madam i will make it 1 hour. My fear is they had good reviews on a compare website which now seems suspiciously inaccurate reviews and their lack of professionalism suggest it might not be a properly registered business. They are the absolute worst. The danger is it looks like they are using a different company name to operate on fly park compare website you only find out after booking and all the review's are suspiciously positive and all back in 2025. I would suggest avoiding that website completely.
Worst parking company I have ever used…
Worst parking company I have ever used — DO NOT USE!
The service was absolutely appalling from start to finish. The staff were rude and aggressive, and despite contacting them from abroad before travelling because I was concerned about the reviews I had seen after booking, I was told the wait could be 1–3 hours.
I was travelling with my young child, so I was understandably worried about being left waiting for hours. I even asked a friend to call while I was in the air to make sure everything was arranged and that I wouldn’t be left waiting.
When we arrived, the experience was even worse. Our car had been left in the car park with the keys left on the wheels. I find this completely unacceptable and extremely concerning from a security perspective. What kind of professional parking service leaves a customer’s vehicle unattended with the keys inside?
The whole experience was stressful, particularly when travelling with a young child. The attitude of the staff and the way the car was handled were simply not acceptable.
I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before using this company.
I would not recommend this company to…
I would not recommend this company to anyone. The whole experience was extremely stressful, unprofessional and completely unacceptable from start to finish.
Firstly, the payment situation was completely different from what was advertised online. Online, we were told that any car park charges would be paid when collecting the car and by bank/card. However, when we arrived, the man dealing with us suddenly said we needed to give him £10 cash. When we questioned this, he gave us multiple different excuses and explanations for why he needed the £10. This was extremely suspicious and completely different from the information we had been given when booking.
When we returned, we discovered that they had left our car in a car park with the keys simply left on the front tyre. In a place like London, this is incredibly worrying and completely unacceptable for a company entrusted with people’s vehicles. We even had to call them twice just to make sure our car was actually there.
Things became even more concerning while we were abroad, when we heard that the car park where our vehicle had been left had been set on fire. Naturally, we were extremely worried about our car and tried to contact the company. It was very difficult to get through to them, and when we eventually did, we were simply told “your car is okay” with no further information or reassurance. There was no proper explanation, no details about what had happened and no proactive communication. Being abroad and having to chase a company for basic information about the safety of your vehicle was incredibly stressful.
The communication throughout the whole experience was also extremely poor. When making the booking, we completed all the required forms and clearly provided the information about whether we were using the North or South Terminal. Despite this, when we called, they were still asking us which terminal we were at. When I told them to check their system because the information had already been provided, the response was sarcastic and unhelpful.
For a company handling people’s cars, I expect professionalism, honesty, clear communication and, most importantly, proper care and security of the vehicle. Unfortunately, we experienced none of this.
From the unexpected £10 cash demand, to leaving our car unattended with the keys on the tyre, to the poor communication while we were abroad after the car park fire, this was an absolutely terrible experience.
I would never use this company again and would not recommend them to anyone. If you’re considering using them, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere.
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs - returned my car damaged and left it somewhere other than meeting point with keys on wheel so I could not challenge them, no response to complaints, and thats even before you factor in the one hour additional wait at collection. Lady next to me waited three hours she said. Quite the worst meet and greet I have ever experienced in 20 years of doing it.
Absolute shocking service from the most…
Absolute shocking service from the most vile man who was rude and hung up on us numerous times, complete cowboys who we would tell anybody to avoid at all costs, our car was left open with key on top of wheel, they are disorganised chaos who have no idea what they are doing and refuse to answer the phone , vile people and no idea where our car was taken to but it wasnt anywhere near by, they took money for parking fee as we were running late but didnt pay it!! AVOID this shoddy company
⭐ 1 STAR
⭐ 1 STAR – ZERO STARS IF I COULD. AVOID SAPPHIRE PARKING.
Terrible experience with Sapphire Parking at Gatwick.
We followed their instructions and called 30 minutes before drop-off, yet waited around 47 minutes, causing the airport parking charge to increase from £8 to £14.
The return was even worse. After waiting over an hour, I called and was told my car was “on the way” and stuck in traffic. However, my Mercedes me app showed the car was still LOCKED, SWITCHED OFF and STATIONARY approximately 12 miles away. Only after I confronted them did I see the car being unlocked and started. It was eventually returned around 1 hour 20 minutes after we requested it.
Around 10 minutes after leaving the airport, I received a low-pressure warning for the rear left tyre. It was later professionally inspected, a nail was found in the side of the tyre, and I had to pay £600 for a replacement.
I have kept photographs, Mercedes tracking screenshots, receipts and other evidence and have submitted a formal complaint requesting a full investigation.
Based on my experience, I would NEVER trust Sapphire Parking with my car again.
AVOID.
