A REAL TRAVEL NIGHTMARE

I recently used the ‘Compare Airport Parking Deals’ website to book a Meet and Greet parking at Heathrow Airport (Terminal 5) for the Easter holidays with my family. The service provider was (ironically!) called ‘Quality Parking Heathrow’.
Unfortunately, I did not check them out here on Trustpilot first – if I had, I would have read several other horror stories (below) about them breaking someone’s dashcam; illegally using a car and getting speeding fines while another customer was away on holiday, and keeping other customers waiting for 40 minutes+ to pick up their vehicle and two hours to return it.
In my case, we didn’t even get that far.
When my partner called up as instructed half an hour before arriving at Heathrow, she was treated very rudely on the phone by a man who asked her if we could drop the car off at different terminal. Given that we had specifically paid for ‘meet and greet’ for Terminal 5, she said no.
At this point, the man on the phone got very annoyed and said that in that case, he wouldn’t come and pick up the car - unless we wanted to pay again, for a SECOND time, over the phone to him? He claimed that the ‘Compare Airport Parking Deals’ website has not been paying his company lately, so he had (he claimed) not received payment for our booking, and therefore couldn’t possibly be expected to come and pick up our car. Unbelievable!!
Obviously, this is a nightmare scenario when you are just about to fly abroad for a family holiday. We told him that we had two young children in the back of the car and asked him what we were supposed to do. He told us to pull over onto the hard shoulder (we were on the motorway!) and look for the contact details of the comparison website, call them, tell them to pay him, and THEN he would come and pick up our vehicle.
He became quite aggressive at this point, so my partner hung up the phone, hurriedly booked another car park through Just Park, which unfortunately proved to be too far away (we were all in a panic by this stage). I dropped her off with our toddler and 8-year-old at Terminal 5 and went to park the car.
I missed my flight.
Fortunately, British Airways were absolutely brilliant about it, quite sympathetic, and helped me to rebook a flight for the following day, so that I could still go out and join my family for our holiday, even if we got off to a belated (and extremely stressful) start.
Basically, it was A REAL TRAVEL NIGHTMARE that ended up costing us a lot of money.
‘Quality Parking Heathrow’ were not available for comment. Their website is apparently down for “maintenance”. The ‘Compare Airport Parking Deals’ website responded to our email of complaint, but completely washed their hands of all responsibility, saying “our role is exclusively that of a comparison website”. They seemed totally uninterested.
I would say, save yourselves the potentially horrifying stress of finding yourself in a similar situation, and do not book through ‘Compare Airport Parking Deals’, since they clearly do not do their due diligence about the service providers they list on their website, and do not appear to care that they are facilitating what appears to be a company of scammers and criminals.
And above all, please, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES use ‘QUALITY PARKING HEATHROW’ (aka ‘Quality Parking’) to book airport parking, ever. Anything could happen. Don’t risk it - pay more to book through a reputable company, and stay safe.

when i got my car back , they had damaged my dashcam beyond repair. It had been removed from the windscreen and thrown in the centre console with the screen of the dshcam hanging out.
Contacted them but they wern't interested and told me they wern't going to replace it.
Absolute scum

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I had to pay £81 to get the dashboard warning light investigated after QP had my Skoda Kodiaq for 2 weeks. The report shows that there were 3 excessive driving events in one journey in my car, 3 days before I picked it up. QP would not respond. Never using again.

To be honest I wouldn’t use this…

To be honest I wouldn’t use this company again even if it offered me free! Totally useless staff rude and very unhelpful. A wait of 40 mins to book car in and over 2 hours for it to returned. This is unacceptable especially after long flight with 2 yr old 😡

The worse meet and greet service ever

The worse meet and greet service ever. Waited 70 mins at drop off, continually told it would be 10 mins, then 20mins then another 20, rude unhelpful staff. In return again rude staff, do not answer the phone, accuse you of not ringing and waited another hour for car to be brought back. They should not be allowed to operate or be on the comparison sites. If I could give a zero I would - do not touch this company.

DO NOT USE these people

DO NOT USE these people. Utterly contemptable service! Like other reviews we waited over an hour to get our car back when returning to Heathrow Terminal 3 on 22 May. The number we were given to call remained unanswered despite trying it repeatedly whilst in the baggage collection hall. When we eventually got through, after more that 30 minutes of trying, the individual was rude, unhelpful and sarcastic. Today, almost two weeks after returning from holiday, we received a parking charge notice telling us our car was illegally parked in a nearby hotel carpark for almost a full day before we returned to the country. I will appeal but do not hold out a lot of hope. Quality Parking Heathrow (and I assume elsewhere) are charlatans, scammers and criminals.

Abysmal

Abysmal, meet and greet is a joke. We were at Heathrow. the car is parked so far away we waited over 40 mins after our luggage arrived for them . very poor and no one answers the phone. I would not recommend!

I like many others, used this company, after going on a comparison website.
After they had taken my car they drive to a restricted area of the airport where they weren’t allowed to park- this resulted in a parking fine being sent to me.
I contacted the comparison website with the details and gave them over, I then believed it was being sorted as they sent an FYI email to this company.
After a month I revived another letter through the post, saying that I still owed the parking fine and it had gone up in price. I then, of course emailed the company again and sent them photos of the letter etc. they then came back to me, stating that I needed to appeal the case. I was unable to appeal it, they was no option left as it had now been over a month since I first received a notification.
Since they I have emailed over 15 times, each time the company come back and tell me to ‘just appeal’ and I have told them 10 times I am unable to do so and they contacted me way too long after the fact. I have repeatedly asked to be passed up to higher management and told then that I would like to make a formal complaint. They do not take anything you say on board, they are horrible,, treat their customers appallingly and they have a horrendous way of dealing with important emails, I only have one contact, and I have to send an email repeatedly for 7 days in a row before I receive a short reply, where they have a really bad attitude and they are very snappy. I have been talking to Tom Hemp, he is very rude, does not read his emails and he doesn’t help and will not pass me onto anyone that could help. I have all of the evidence necessary, and as it has now been passed on to a debt recovery, it will be them going to court and not me as I have passed all their details onto the debt company. I cannot begin to express how disappointed, angry and appalled I am by this company and their service. Absolutely shocking and disgusting and disgraceful, they need to be shut down!

Not recommended

I frequently use meet and greet services, but I must say that this company has provided the least satisfactory experience I have encountered so far.
I encountered significant delays and issues despite I was on time to airport according booking time, and I still had to wait extra 20min for the driver. My return flight was on time too. After picking up my suitcase, I was informed that my car would arrive within 30 minutes. However, I ended up waiting nearly 50 minutes over the midnight for its arrival, so definitely traffic wasn’t the excuse. To make matters worse, the condition of the vehicle was far from acceptable; it was dirty both inside and out. Very muddy and dusty full of pine needles from outside and driver didn’t bother to clean his muddy shoes, which resulted in mud and pine needles being tracked into the car too. This level of carelessness is not only disheartening but also disrespectful.

In addition to the long wait times and very dirty car, the customer service was very poor too.
I wish I had opted for a taxi instead, as it would have been a quicker and more efficient way to reach my destination. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend services of this company to others and I would never use their services again.

Returned to Gatwick, received my bags, cleared customs and called as they request. Stated 25 mins for car to arrive back to me. After 45 minutes, the car still hadn't been switched on (tracker on the car confirmed this), even though on 3 separate occasions the guy on the phone swore blind it was leaving the yard as we spoke!!

Car turned up with a damaged alloy that the diver admitted to damaging. The tyre wall even had a fresh marking on it which married up with the damaged alloy.

When emailing they said they had photographic proof that the wheel coming into them like that........but when I asked them to send the photo over they have gone silent and ignored 4 further emails requesting the photo!

Why can't these companies just take responsibility for damage as and when it happens..............Won't use again!!

Quality Parking

Quality Parking - DO NOT USE - almost 2 hours late, not what you want after a long flight - damage to my car which they refuse to accept and extremely rude staff. Worst parking I have ever used.

We experienced long delays (45 mins to collect our car on 30th Sept and over 1 hour to return it on 5th Oct) at Gatwick airport for a ‘Meet and Greet’ service.
The booking form clearly states that an allowance of 20-25 mins should be made but we had to keep chasing the Company to find out where our car was.
In addition, we had to pay £6 on arrival and a further £6 on departure for car parking which was not mentioned before.
Extremely disappointing service and we would not recommend using this company.

Do not use this company

Left my car with this company from 25th September until 1st Oct. my car was returned damaged with a visible scratch. They are refusing to take responsibility. Note their other reviews on quality parking gatwick. These are scam artist, do not book with this company. UPDATE now filed a claim against this company, check them out on Companies House. Gatwick Airport and Trading Standards have also been informed. I would suggest anyone else to also file a claim against them, it is the only way to stop their underhand behaviour. They are clearly in breach of their terms and conditions, a 10 inch scratch they are saying is normal wear and tear.
