Warming... more like warning!!! Put on my back as continuous back pain, thought a bit of warmth would've be nice! I'm red and burning I've tried washing it off I've tried cold flannels.. the lot skin Is on fire wouldn't be surprised if it blistered the way it feels!!

My daughter rubbed this in and ended up with 3 hours of burning hands. She was screaming in pain and my husband was very close to taking her to A&E. She held her hands in cold water for over an hour took ibuprofen and in the end we applied burn gel and co-codomal and it stopped burning.
There is no warning on this product about the possibility of burning.

Be warned I used the sanctuary de-stress warming body balm once and the burning over my body was intense… my skin was bright red swollen. I had a freezing cold shower for ages and had to lie on the bed with a fan directed in my body. It’s gone an hour and the burning is off the scale my husband was ready to take me to A&E the swelling was bad… this product is dangerous and needs a warning label never ever again

Since the revamp of the packaging of the Sanctuary Spa Body Butter 300ml, it seems to be a different cream inside, too
Have been using this body butter for years as it made my skin feel very soft and also lasted on my skin without drying out. The revamp version doesn't last a day and the smell doesn't last either. Seems more waxy and sticky, doesn't sink in.
Shame that they have messed about with it all as they will now lose customers who have also used their products and found it to to be not so good.
Note to Sanctuary Spa, go back to the old formula of Sanctuary Spa Body Butter 300ml, before you go bust, as people will certainly stop buying it.

The products are ok, but bought a body exfoliator, the pot said 300g, but mine came half full…was so disappointing, reviewed it on boots website (where I bought it from) they didn’t aprove my review, I guess they only except positive review

I could not get rid of the burning sensation for ages after use I tried aloe Vera, and other calming products I ended up falling asleep with a wet cloth on me. Ive never written a review before but it had to be done. This product is a horrible experience. For someone with no allergies or skin problems it’s been shocking how horrible it is.

For years I used the glorious Mande Lular Body Souffle which was 475ml of sheer heaven. Now it appears to be replaced with 300ml of 'Whipped Souffle'. Not only is it more expensive for 300ml than it was for the original 475ml, the souffle version goes nowhere and you need to use more to get the same moisturising effect, so this translates as lots of expensive fresh air. I won't be buying anymore Sanctuary products. Is it Boots doing this marketing con or the manufacturer? In my view as a long time faithful customer, they have priced themselves out of the market and reduced the quality of the product. No idea how they get away with it. SO DISAPPOINTED!

Worst burning sensation I’ve ever felt. This product should be banned.

I used the body wash products two weeks later I have a raised rash which is extremely swollen and painful.
I have never had any problems with any other skin products but this has made my life hell. Difficulty sleeping GP very concerned for me and the fact I work where I am I in the public eye. I will never ever buy another sanctuary product again

Sanctuary body lotion…. Omg I think I’ve got 3rd degree burns, it’s not a warm tingling sensation it’s like somebody’s got a blow torch on you…. IT BURNS. Had 3 showers and now got a wet towel over me, it’s horrendous.. never again and it’s going in the bin, where it belongs. it could used as a chemical weapon how much it burns.

I bought the Destress Warming Body Balm product to use on my shoulders, knees and back where I usually experience stress and tension. I’m a regular sauna/steam room goer so am very used to heat. I READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST!!!!! It clearly states not to use on inflamed and broken skin, on sensitive areas such as the face or after a shower. Fantastic product if used in small amounts correctly and after reading instructions. Will be buying again and is really helping my arthritic hands, ankles and knees. For those who may have experienced extreme heat sensations, try a small amount (green peas size) on your feet and ankles first. Thanks Sanctuary

Sanctuary De-Stress Body Balm is APPALLING!
I used it after a shower, and found after a few seconds that it wasn't warming, it was RED HOT and BURNING!!! I had to take several cold shower to relieve the sensation. There should be a warning given to this product or it shouldn't be sold.

I used a light mist spray for sleep on my hand came up all red and bright read spots with intense pain now on steroids to reduce inflammation for days totally unnecessary should carry a health and safety outline of possible side effects

OMG I am on fire how can I stop this burning after using sanctuary de stress calming lotion I feel like my legs are going to self combust , I have had three further showers and soaked in cold water but this is getting worse has anyone found anything that eases the burning at all , there is no comparison to deep heat as that does not burn at all just warms this is agonising I just wish I had read reviews before use it should be taken off the market before someone gets really burned

Just tried this product should have read instructions first thought it was a nice bedtime relaxing body lotion but after about five minutes it was really hot left a painful blister type spot on my arm had to shower off skin was still really hot and itchy be careful use with caution!

After buying a secret facial oil that had the tube smashed inside, called the helpline 3 times, on hold for ages and left messages. No-one has called me back! Very frustrating.

I didn’t really get the “de-stressing” benefits of this product as I was on my way to the Doctor for steroid cream to remove the intense burns and swelling from using a small amount, per the instructions. It felt as if my skin was literally on fire.
How on earth is this allowed to be sold to the general public?
What if a child or someone vulnerable got their hands on it?
IF YOUR READING THIS REVIEW WHILE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO REMOVE THE BURNS:
1: try to remove as much product off your skin in a cold shower with shower gel. It will hurt but reduce the longer term effects.
2: take Ibuprofen to reduce swelling and manage the pain. An Antihistamine will reduce swelling too. Always read the label!
3: put a cold compress on the area. Ensure it’s not iced - this can cause your skin to shock.
4: sorry, but you’ll have to wait it out. Use this time to complain to the manufacturer, because some other poor soul will thank you later.

Sanctuary de-stress warming body balm. Have just had the most stressful experience where it felt as though I had had acid poured on my skin. My skin went bright red and I couldn't get rid of the pain even after showering and applying aloe vera. Just off to get some antihistamine. How can this product be on the market?

Sanctuary’s customer services is diabolical. I received a product that arrived broken and had leaked out in the badly packed box. I was asked to forward a photo as a JPEG/PDF etc so they could deal with my query. I keep getting a automatic reply email asking me to send photo. Terrible service - won’t be buying anything from them again.
