Been a happy customer of rwg for over two years until just recently when My iPhone (4g but not 5g) has great trouble making simple phone calls or sending txt messages. The phone shows connection to the Now network (as it has always done) but signal strength varies all the time. First noticed this at home but also tried 15miles away so not the same mast/tower.

I read elsewhere of many people having similar problems recently. No reply from email support.

Last September 2024, I purchased a 12-month SIM prepaid SIM plan from RWG. My SIM abruptly ceased functioning in July 2025, preventing me from making any outgoing calls. I called RWG customer service and spoke with an Indian supervisor named Michael, who informed me that I was given a Gamma SIM card, which RWG has since terminated, but they neglected to notify me via their website or any notifications. As a result, I will now have to email their support department and hope for the best. I stopped up on email after three tries and moved to Lebara mobile. RWG has essentially conned me; be wary, people—they are scammers who will now report to ofcom.

Very competitive rates for my needs ie true PAYG with light use of data and very light for calls/texts. I do not like contracts. Useful in spare phones keep in cars mainly for navigation. To date honour the packages that I paid for even though no longer offer these deals.

Some issues of course. Need to make paid calls religiously every 3 months or so or sim card put into a locked mode. Contacting RWG never been simple with increasingly no response to email contact, no chat system. Phone calls have worked. Very limited menu via the phone itself as these are for NOW mobile, not the same thing.

Signed up for a pre-paid 5 year data sim. After one year and one month I was suddenly emailed from "Gamma" saying "Your access to outgoing voice text and data has been suspended. You will continue to receive calls and texts until your mobile service is fully disconnected in 30 days. Your PAC is x should you require it. Contact your provider for more info."

I emailed RWG for support and have been completely ignored. Total con, paid for 5 years, only got 1 year.

Scam company. I ported out after a few months as I wasn't happy with the coverage (ok at home but poor at work) but they kept charging me despite providing no service at all. I'm awaiting 14 days to pass since their refusal to refund the monthly fee and will do a charge back through my credit card company. It's an illegal clause (charging for no service) in their T&Cs so it's void and null. Ofcom of course has conferences to attend, who has time to regulate

Ordered a Data SIM from them which never arrived. Contacted them 4 days after the order and they said they would send another one. Contacted them 7 days after this to cancel the order and request my money back. A month later no sign of the refund (or the two SIM cards they claim to have sent!) Avoid

Worst network provider, ordered my SIM with £5 credit but credit not showing available.

Customer service is none existent, no response to multiple emails...

Had to escalate to my credit card provider to get my money back. Will be reporting this company to trading standards!

As per pretty much all the other reviewers, I couldn`t get a peep out of RWG customer services after paying for a renewal sim which had not been activated.To leave their customers in the lurch like this is disgraceful and perhaps their CEO might want to show a bit of interest and accountability.
I took the advice of others who have contacted NOW MOBILE via their WEB chat (not mobile) and a very efficient guy called Alex had this sorted in minutes.I enquired as to the situation with RWG and he told me they are using NOW MOBILE for "some" services which clearly appears to include customer services in addition to piggy-backing off The Now network/EE. I would urge you to resolve your issues via this route if RWG are not responsive.

I tried to contact RWG several times over the last few months, but they NEVER answered any of the emails I sent and it's too time consuming to sit on a phone and wait for someone to answer the call.

To be honest I find it more puzzling than anything else, but either way it's extremely unprofessional.

This is a zero star review. They used to be good and support used to answer queries very quickly and helpfully but no longer. I've been having intermittent connections problems with my phone (tested on other phones with the same result) and none of the emails or online support forms have been replied to over a period of months. I phoned today and firstly was connected to someone who could barely speak English and I could understand maybe 1 word in 20. When I tried again I was speaking to either an American or Canadian who assured me firstly that my phone should be set to 2G! Then when I told him I'd troubleshooted the problem by trying the SIM in different phones he told me that's the reason for the intermittent connection problems, I'd 'confused' the SIM by switching.

I suspect they're trying to get rid of all their customers and close down and the connectivity problems and lack of knowledgeable support are all part of a cunning plan to get us to leave in droves.

It's working for me as I'm looking to transfer to a proper grown up provider.

If you have an issue with RWG, contact Now Mobile customer service. They took care of my issue in 5min.

I needed a replacement sim card.
E mail to RWG they never replied. So customer service non existent. I have lost credit.
Moral is to go with a reputable mobile firm.
RWG is to avoid unless you want to lose your money and your mobile phone number.

I would award zero stars but that's not an option.
Took out 3 £30 year long contracts for spare mobiles. These never activated. An uninteligable and unknowedagble call centre told me (falsely) to add £5 credit to activated them.
I cancelled the contract the next day with a promise of a full refund in 3-5 working days.
I have now had to issue an HM Courts money claim as they will not respond.
Avoid!

Rwg was good when we joined them. Been with them maybe a year/year and a half? All good until the last month or so? Lots of issues, unable to make calls/texts half the time until it stopped working completely. It seems rwg are going through changes? Being taken over? But now mobile are dealing with their accounts now. The Rwg customer services no longer works but you can go through to now mobile and they will fix everything. Sorted all my issues. Peter was very quick and efficient. Reinstated the account and everything working as it should. Just use their online chat. We have a year contract so didn't want to change. The contract is working again and everything has been fine.

No customer support available, sim no longer works, billing works (funny how that happens).

Company may be defunct but I can't find any definitive information, the website is still up but their customer numbers are disconnected, emails don't go through and they wont even let me get my PAC code to leave.

Complete scam and a real blemish on Welsh business

I've been with RWG for over 2 years. Up until the last few months I'd been pretty impressed, they offered low cost annual sims which worked (though you didn't get Wifi calling). However things started to go wrong in June of this year with intermittent problems making calls and receiving them regardless of location. Its highly possible this was something to do with the 3G switch off.

Contacting RWG by phone is impossible as no one answers, emailing them you get the auto-response then no reply. Contacting their sim supplier Now-Mobile is only possible through their websites online-bot, which is also utterly pointless.

With limited service and no possible way to resolve the issues on 2 sims I'd already paid for, I requested my PAC and jumped ship. One day later I'm ported over to another network which is functioning perfectly and offers wifi calling.

RWG's latest company financial figures paints a dire picture with over £1.5m in debt, so it wouldn't surprise me if they go under soon. I've read numerous reports of RWG continuing to take monthly payments after people have ported away also which is just shocking.

I'd seriously not recommend this company. They may be cheap, but its not worth it.

They may be cheap but service is awful, account management via web is useless and when you do eventually get through to the offshore call centre the quality of the phone line is so bad you can hardly understand the person on the other end.

bad customer service telephone them as soon as you tap the number to get to the service you want it cut off had no service for days bought a £10 top up even though i had £6 credit have to throw that in the bin
avoid at all cost i cancel the service
