SCAM Warning! Misleading Brand, Faulty UX, and Complete Failure to Resolve Simple Error

I urge everyone to be cautious when booking through Reservation Stays. I found this site ranking high on Google, leading me to believe I was booking directly with a reputable major chain (like Hilton). This site is misleading, and the user experience is fundamentally broken, costing me $160.

Technical Failure and Mis-Booking

I attempted to book a room for December 10th. Despite repeatedly entering the correct date, the system continually reverted the reservation date to November 17th (the current day). After the third attempt, I mistakenly believed the system had finally accepted the correct date and confirmed the booking.

Immediately after confirmation, I realized the reservation was incorrectly set for today, November 17th. I was not looking for a refund, but simply wanted to modify the reservation to the correct date of December 10th.

Customer Service and Cancellation Nightmare

The platform's inability to modify a booking—even seconds after a clear system error—is unacceptable.

The process to correct this simple mistake was an immediate runaround:

Reservation Stays told me the hotel had to approve the date change/cancellation.

I called the hotel directly, and they correctly stated that Reservation Stays, as the third-party intermediary, had to handle the claim.

Reservation Stays finally called the hotel, but the hotel was only given the option to approve or deny a cancellation of the immediate (Nov 17th) reservation, which they denied.

This company created a situation where their terrible user experience forced an incorrect booking, and their lame customer service policy made it impossible to correct. I am now out $160 for a reservation I never intended to make, all due to a faulty booking platform and a confusing maze of bureaucracy.

Avoid Reservation Stays if you value your time and money. Book directly with the hotel chain to avoid this frustration.

Terrible service , no one to refund an immediate cancellation. Hard to get any help and customer service

Illegal fraudsters and Appalling scam. Was directed to this site when clicked on an actual hotel website (Premier Inn)for which I needed to book a second room: did not realise it was a third party website as was in a hurry. The hotel has no record of the booking and when I tried to cancel, it said I would have credit and kept the fee for the reservation cancellation. Illegal fraudsters.

I booked a hotel with Reservation Stays by phone on Saturday, October 25, 2025. The agent quoted and charged $799.99 and did not disclose additional mandatory fees. After payment, my confirmation showed the total would actually be $1,072.51 at check-in—an undisclosed $272.52 increase. I called on Sunday, October 26, 2025 to request a refund because we could not afford the undisclosed charge. The hotel said they would authorize a refund, but Reservation Stays refused to process it. I’m requesting a full refund of $799.99, they are refusing.

I had made a reservation at Radisson El Paso airport at a website I thought was their actual site. Evidently not. Made reservation through this site. Husband is having significant health issues so our trips to El Paso are medical. I made a 3 day reservation for a pet scan. The doctor couldn't see us for several days for results so I called to cancel 2 of the 3 days I had booked. The automatic telephone answerer cancelled all 3 days much to my chargrin. I spoke with 2 different ladies trying to sort it out, both hung up on me. I called again & was again disconnected. They are charging me for 1 night I did not want to cancel requiring me to rebook and pay for the same night again. Do not ever book through this organization.

I booked the wrong date. 3 minutes later I called to cancel it. Declined.

How is this company allowed to operate under UK Consumer law. It is practically a scam. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THESE PEOPLE.

This organisation is a complete scam. Pretending to take reservations on our behalf.

RUN DON'T USE!!!!! I thought I was booking thru the hotel, was asked if I wanted ins. coverage if I had to cancel early. Clicked yes was directed to this site and bought ins. But if you cancel you have to work with another company called refundableme which is a bigger scam. Reservationstays will not help! Used a credit card and now they want all my banking information. Not comfortable giving.

Do not use this company ever! They just take your money. If you have a question or issue, their support team is terrible to deal with. If you ask to speak to a manager they will not allow it. We lost over 300.00 with this company when booking a room. We thought we were booking a room in Maine and they booked us in Oregon. They had absolutely no sympathy for our circumstance. If I could rate them zero I would! Beware if they pop up as the 3rd party vendor when booking. Go to the actual hotel website.

When I booked through Reservation Stay and Paid for my hotel in full in advance of my stay, the manager at the hotel could not find a record of the reservation upon my arrival. I called Reservations Stay's customer service, and they insisted that the booking was made, but the hotel had no record of it. I had to pay the hotel for a separate reservation because I needed a place to stay. I was unsuccessful in obtaining a refund for the reservation, so I ended up paying twice for a hotel room.

Stay clear of this operation. Tried to call and cancel and was #181 in the Q!! Opted twice for a call back and never received one. Got scammed out of my money. They need to be shut down.!! Do not book here!!

The company misrepresents its cancellation policy. You are asked to pay an additional $100.00 for the flexibility of cancelling. What they do not tell you is that this fee only entitles you to apply for cancellation consideration, based on predefined categories. This is deceptive and misleading. I'm trying to cancel a reservation that is 9 months away and they will not consider it.

My experience was so bad that if I could I would give them zero. 1 is too much for my satisfaction. I used this site by accident. I was supposed to use a conference site to book a hotel. Within an hour I realized that I made a mistake and called the company. The agent didn't want to accept their policy that is clearly stated on their website - saying "free cancelation within 24 hours". I called the next day , still waiting 24 hours, and the agent told me that I can get a refund if I give them a good reason for cancelation! I emailed, I even made a screen shot where their policy was described. I had towsit for a week before someone replied, basically saying the same thing. Stay away from this site! I used lots of travel site, such as expedia, Orbitz, and never had such a awful experience.

We booked a reservation for a hotel under reservation stays. This booking was made because the airline told us that they would not be able to get my husband to his destination until the next morning however, when he got to the airport, they told him he could make his destination. Although it was a nonrefundable hotel booking, the hotel was willing to refund reservation stays, however reservation stays refused to do so in addition, they refused to change the credit card that it was listed under. There was no customer service provided. I do not recommend booking under the company reservation stays

I was trying to book online directly with our chosen hotel, and somehow ended up on the Reservation Stays site without realizing it. I called what I thought was the hotel’s booking phone number, and booked a room. Reservation Stays booked us at the wrong hotel, hours away from where we were going to be. I didn’t catch it until the morning we were leaving, when I pulled up the confirmation to get the address. I called them immediately and requested that they switch the reservation to the correct hotel (in the same chain) and offered to pay any difference. They refused to do anything to help, telling me they needed at least 24 hours to review the case. I told them we needed a place to stay that night, but the agent repeatedly told me that we could stay in the hotel they had erroneously booked. He could not seem to understand that it was 3 hours north of where we were going. He called me back at one point to try to get me to admit fault for the error. The agent didn’t even offer to help us book a new room; I had to request to talk to a booking agent, and after being quoted $300 for one night, I hung up and booked directly with the hotel for $100 cheaper. It’s been two days and I have never heard from them again.

This company a scam, please read and avoid or dispute charge with your credit card/bank. They advertised as a hotel partner for a fest which is not true. They shared a paid in full hotel voucher at the Hyatt. Hyatt has no record of the reservation. Company said they can’t do anything, they are just a 3rd party. They hung up when I said they were the one who took my money.

A goddamn scam! Was unknowingly directed to this piece of shit website when booking a hotel. Cancelled reservation within the required time and was given a credit at "reservation Stays" instead of a refund on credit card. Policy on the fake website stated refund within time limit was a refund to payment on record. How does this happen? Where is the FBI? I want prison sentences......

Would be a zero if possible. Tricked into thinking it was a hotel website. Paid extra for a refund opportunity, then denied a legitimate request 10 days out. Would give zero stars if possible.

Site is misleading, You think your on the hotels website. Then you book and pay the 40.00 cancelation fee. Then your daughters volleyball team decides that we will not be going to this location. Call to use your reservation WITH cancelation to cancel and are told nope to bad to sad your out $415.00, you can file a claim to get your money back if you follow link in email. file claim and get an email less then 5 minutes later saying to bad to sad. They are very misleading, I wish the hotels would do something to punish them for making the sites to look much like the real hotel sites. They are a scam in a sense. If I had not be in such a rush the day I booked I am sure I would have noticed the error of booking with them. I do not ever book 3rd party sites for stays and this is a great reminder why I don't.
