Serious Water Damage
I am extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled.
After noticing serious water damage to my wooden kitchen cabinets, I discovered that my Renewell filtration unit was leaking internally. This began after a recent service visit where filters were replaced. The internal container beneath the unit repeatedly filled with water, confirming an ongoing leak.
After multiple complaints, a technician eventually attended and identified the issue as a faulty auto shut-off valve. Despite this, I was told I would have to pay €90 call-out, €30 for the part, and another €90 for installation.
What was most upsetting, however, was the manner in which I was treated in my own home.
The technician was dismissive and repeatedly insisted that because I “own the unit,” any leak is entirely my responsibility. When I tried to explain that the issue began after servicing and had caused property damage, I was interrupted and spoken over.
He made a remark comparing it to “not bringing a car back to the factory if it leaks oil,” which felt sarcastic and belittling.
The tone of the interaction became confrontational and uncomfortable. I genuinely felt uneasy and just wanted the visit to end. No customer should feel intimidated or dismissed when raising a legitimate concern about damage caused by a product.
I am very disappointed by the lack of accountability and the way this matter has been handled.

Very happy with my Renewal Water experience. We had a water filter installed after our kitchen tap broke. I took the opportunity to have a filter installed, the tap, the installation, the information given at the start, was all top notch. And good value for money I felt. Love my new tap and filtered water!

I cannot recommend
I bought a water filter from them. When it was initially installed, it was installed incorrectly, resulting a lot of noise which required a return trip to re-install it correctly. This is probably where damage to the pump on the filter started or occurred.
Around the Christmas holiday a very loud clicking started the system. I waited until after the holidays to reach out. They asked me how the water pressure was and if the water pressure was low then I needed to replace the filters. The water pressure was fine. I tried all other troubleshooting that they advised. I was initially told the filters only needed to be changed yearly, out of desperation to get the noise to stop I paid to replace the filters at my own cost. No change. Then they said we can't figure out what's wrong with the system unless we do a full maintenance on it. I paid for that. Their man comes out, he services it, he doesn't show me any filth or gunk in the workings on the machine. The make it sound like we're in sub saharan africa here with mud pouring out of the taps. Just as their man is about to leave the loud clicking noise starts again. He goes back in and this time he adds a valve so the filters can get, "a more direct water flow." The clicking stops. He leaves. He tells me as he leaves that if we have anymore issues just let them know and they'll sort it. This is a second time that the system was not installed correctly probably resulting in pump damage.
They keep going back to the filters and unit was full of muck but when I took the old filters off, I poured off the water and while it was discoloured it wasn't bad. The photos and videos I took were in a dark cupboard behind fire extinguishers. Never heard once that I should be monitoring the colour of the filters before this. This is a third opportunity where they don't tell you, you need to do something until it's too late maybe. I still doubt the filters needed to be changed at all. I feel this was wasted money on the filters and a wasted service that accomplished nothing to solve the actual problem.
6 days later it starts again. I contact them on WhatsApp and the tone deaf response I get is essentially, it's time to buy a new water filter system. They'll make me a great deal. I let them know I was not spending more money. I have already thrown good money after bad. I'd spend about 740 euros since purchase. About 18 months earlier when this major issues started.
I stopped making the noise. I let them know and they said, "We’re happy to leave things there unless the situation materially changes." Well it came back. I let them know again and they said I have no choice but to buy a new pump from them at 120 euro.
That was what's was really frustrating about this is that I feel like I've been given the runaround. The messages over whatsapp contradict what is said in emails and in person. I feel like my time and money has been wasted. If the "muck in the filters" as they love to blame then this would have stopped with the filter change and the service.
Today their message was: "Your system is functioning correctly and producing water as intended. The clicking you are describing does not affect its performance or purpose." So because it's producing water I shouldn't be bothered by the noise. They love to use the car analogy when speaking to me. I wonder how many of us would be okay with our cars making this noise.
Today I filed a small claims court case in Dundalk under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 which protects Irish consumers up to 6 years on purchases. Everything I've said in this review can be backed up with copies of email s and whatsapp chats.
The pump was either damaged by their negligence or it was never fit for purpose. Imagine a 390 euro until going off in 18 months because 2 adults were simply too much for it.
A domestic water filtration pump should last significantly longer than 18 months. Requiring payment for replacement indicates the goods were not durable.
The goods were not of satisfactory quality.
They failed prematurely.
The trader failed to remedy the defect without demanding further payment.
A paid service did not resolve the defect.
Excellent experience…
I had an excellent experience with Renewell Water! Will was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process and went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. His guidance and support really made the whole experience smooth and stress-free.
On top of that, the water itself tastes absolutely amazing — fresh, clean, and refreshing every time. I couldn’t recommend Renewell Water more, both for the quality of their product and the exceptional service. A truly five-star experience!

Hydro+ Hydrogen Water…
We purchased the Hydro+ Hydrogen Water Ioniser Reverse Osmosis Filtration System for €1,480 in April 2025.
This has been, without question, the worst experience we have ever had with a so-called premium product.
Only a couple of months after installation, the system began malfunctioning, and we had to contact Renewell Water to try to resolve the issue. What followed was weeks of back-and-forth communication, video calls, videos showing the machine failure, and extended periods with no running water in our kitchen.
Eventually, a technician was sent to our home. We were told we would be compensated for all the bottled water we had to purchase for drinking, cooking, and basic household use. During this time, all of our dishes had to be carried upstairs and washed in the bath.
The technician did his best to repair the system, and initially it appeared fixed — but within an hour, the same fault returned. Once again, we were left without usable water and had to repeat the entire process of relying on bottled water for everything while waiting for further action.
After considerable insistence on our part — including making it clear that we did not want to keep the faulty unit — we were finally told that a replacement machine would be ordered. We were also assured that we would be compensated not only for the water we had to purchase, but also for the inconvenience, disappointment, and overall poor experience.
According to our WhatsApp records, the problems began on 11 July. By 22 July we had no water at all, and we did not receive a replacement machine until early September.
For a product marketed as premium, both the equipment and the after-sales service were completely unacceptable. Based on our experience, I would definitely not recommend Renewell for any high-value purchase.

Customer focused company
As a long term customer, we were due a service and instead got an upgraded system for a very good price. The installation was flawless and looking forward to using it. Our previous model has been a gem, clear and good water enjoyed by ourselves, child and pet.

Love it - fantastic addition to the house
Love it. Had this installed recently in my kitchen. The unit is very quiet, flushes all the harmful stuff out of the water before I drink it. The installation was done by Dean, who was great. He explained in detail how to change the filters when they need it (one once a year the second every 2 years). The company will send me reminders when they are due. It's not often you find companies this efficient. The unit is under the sink and Dean put the filter tap in a great place which is really out of the way from anything going on in the sink. I feel really confident that I am drinking clean water, so bought some lemons and limes as well (these aren't included !!). Love this unit.
