I have been using Rebel for 15+ years to host my business website. They have always been outstanding, and I highly recommend them. They offer helpful suggestions via online chat, and have refunded things I have incorrectly purchased or do not need, each and every time I have made a mistake. They also host my email, which I have never had an issue with. Kudos to the Rebel team, please support this amazing business.

I have having £40-50 monthly bill for my one bed flat during Sept - Jan 2024. During this time, i have received over 100 calls from various random numbers to put a smart meter which i refused to put as i was not interested. For Feb 2025, instead of billing me at start of the month as usual, they send me a whooping £700 bill at the end of month. Please protect yourself from this fraud. I will fight my case and making you all aware to avoid them.

Rebel has helped get my business online and it's been a delightful experience. I am fairly technically savvy so it hasn't been too difficult to navigate, but even a newbie could easily operate the platform. I highly recommend rebel for your domain and hosting needs!!

DNS records randomly changing or disappearing in last few weeks on at least 3 domains. Customer support confused, does not understand basic networking terminology. They blame the customer and everybody else. In technical term, what appears to be the problem is that their software fails/screws up the nameserver records they are supposed to send to the root registry. Today it took an hour to explain to them that the problem is theirs, not mine.

Rebtel stole my money in my account by turning on automatic top ups option on my Rebtel account without my consent and went ahead to empty the money in my account by using unauthorized calls pretext!! I saw hundreds of calls to numbers that I knew not. it went on for over two weeks before I discovered the fraud. When I contacted Rebtel support manager about it he went ahead and deleted all the evidence I had on my Rebtel account and then shut down my account. He has since then refused to communicate with me!!! Rebtel is a scam to let others know. Don't wait until it happens to you.

Great Service from their support reps and management. A hosting company that calls you back and remembers your name! Good luck finding that these days! They work hard to rectify any concerns/issues that I have had over the 20 years of being their customer. I am proud to keep my business in CANADA for all of my domains and hosting needs. Prices are on point with the industry.... but the added value they offer sets Rebel.com above indeed!

worst customer service ever!. Sites go down and they could care less. You wait on hold for 20 minutes then get hung up on. Support it awful.
Nothing but aggrivation. Do yourself a fever and find another hosting company!!

The site is unbelievably slow and keeps crashing with errors. Stay away from it.

This company will automatically charge you well in advance of domains. Reversing the charges will take hours online and on hold as there is no accessible way to reach them.
DON'T recommend at all. TAKE SCREENSHOTS OF ALL TRANSACTIONS.
UPDATE. I had a mystery charge on my credit card that was unexplained and NOT on my billing history.
Update: after spending a fair amount of time online to try and get it remedied they did fix the issues. I now have no hidden renewals to my knowledge.
The support staff were always cordial and as helpful as possible. None of the issues had anything to do with them.

this is by far the worst company in the domain hosting business. terible customer service. robot for an email service. try calling you get linked to an indian call centre so many of them yellling you cant hear or understand. very bad experience. wasted alot of my precious time. do not make this mistake. look elsewhere

Rebel focus on hosting. They have always provided above average support. I paid I get hosted, I hang out in cyberspace. Not too much going on for my experience
Policies are geared to cause as much disruption to flow of business as possible. Forced 2 factor authentication, and even when authenticated, having to prove my identity on multiple areas including what addresses and credit cards I have on file all to prevent people from trying to transfer their domain from them knowing that most people will just give up after a process that takes 4 weeks, forms to be emailed with government issued copy of id, and then redundant verification of identification behind a 2 factor login just to transfer a $20/year domain from them...
Our church has been using Rebel for several years for our email and domain management. The service is top-notch and their patience with our questions (none of us are technical professionals) is outstanding. Rebel's prices are very reasonable. We hope to move our website over to Rebel as soon as we can get our act together.
I have left Rebel after over 20 years (when it was Domains@Cost) due to the marked deterioration of both the product (cloud email) and customer service.
The new email platform gives no option to turn off spam filtering, causing me to miss important business emails. Further, monthly billing for a few dollars with no option to pay annually is a royal pain.
Customer service hours have been reduced, while wait times are getting longer. Overall, it just ain't what it used to be, and after over two decades, it was time to go. As a bonus, my new provider is about half the cost for my domain registration and email package, with annual billing.
UPDATE in response to reply below:
It took over 16 months for Rebel to reply to my review, while the issues that caused me to leave remain unresolved.
I definitely made the right decision in switching providers, and I won't be back. Ever.

We are not customers and never will be. We tried for over an hour on their useless chat to make a complaint about a site they host - spammers, scammers. We emailed their abuse email and got a response and case number but no follow up. It's been five days and we're still waiting. We're calling next like it's 1992. They are inefficient and their support is trash.

It just took 30+ minutes to renew my domain name. Quick renew no longer works but has not been removed as an option. The server would not accept my credit card and could not "add it to the vault" I had to call, wait on hold and then add my credit card as a payment method, pay my bill and then remove the card as a payment method. Paying a $22 bill should take 5 minutes not 30. I'll be looking to move my hosting in the future.
Customer Service is Top-Notch
Not many domain providers still operate a LIVE chat feature, but Rebel is not like the other providers. We have been long-time customers of Rebel and have no desire to change. Over the past year, I have used the Rebel chat feature at least 5x to request assistance performing a variety of tasks. I have always had my questions answered and the reps have all been extremely polite and very helpful. In addition, we are happy to support a fellow Canadian business. Highly recommend Rebel!
Like similar reviews, I have been with Rebel.com for almost 20 years. After noting a massive price increase to renew a .com domain, I contacted customer service and they tried to upsell me. How does it help me to renew my domain for an extended period when the price is inflated? You can have a decent discount but you first have to renew with them for three years and pay twice as much as other domain registrars. No thanks!
