Works and great support when needed

We have been using Plivo for a number of years. We have never experienced in any outages and it all just works. When ever we have needed some support they have been keen to help. A great partnership approach.

Robust API, always improving, just works

No issues to speak of, really appreciate the support, I was working with the Java SDK and found an issue, and they fixed it fast, followed up on multiple occasions to ensure I had everything I needed and the API was working to my satisfaction. Their Dial XML and ease of endpoint registration definitely set them apart from the other guys.

Plivo straight stole $25 from me.

They said they would process a refund. 18 days go by, I contact them to see why it has taken longer than the 7-15 days that were quoted. Here I am 26 days out. No credit on my Plivo account, no refund on my Credit card.

Plivo straight stole $25 from me. All the while I'm more than happy to be using Twilio at more expensive rates.

Took money and immediatly disabled account

Signed up to use their service. Immediately asked for credit, as I was expecting to use it regularly I made a deposit. As I'm waiting to get started I get a notice that my account was disabled...

Don't recommend as you immediately get shut down and then have to run after them to get your money back. T

After 2 days all our SMS starting …

After 2 days all our SMS starting failed. Support is only through email. Can't talk to any of them. They are not San Francisco, CA based. They are based somewhere in another country.

They don't care about you at all

I've spent a week developing the integration between Plivo and my app. When I tried to add my credit card, they DISABLED my account due to fraud (what?), before I even had the chance to confirm the credit card.

It has been A MONTH since I started to try unlocking my account, but they take ages to answer and they don't even care to give you a feedback.

They just say my account was blocked due to "fraud algorithms" which are not always precise, and yet they don't unlock it.

Simply the best platform for building voice and text applications

Plivo has everything that you may need from a modern communication platform. With Plivo you can build a voice or text app of any complexity. Two-way SMS and local numbers is 55 countries ensure that your app can be globally ready.

Not only is Plivo a feature-rich service but their API is extremely easy to consume. It will surely make your integration engineers happy. The system has native SIP support and provides SDK's for various platforms.

As a startup we need to invest in technologies that add value. But forget about technology for a moment. Business is all about people and relationships. Plivo shines here as well. We've had a great experience with them and I'm confident we will have a solid long term partnership with Plivo.

Hats off to the Plivo customer support

For any service or tool there is one factor other than it's quality and pricing is their customer support. I am satisfied by it's quality and prices but it's customer support is the one thing that makes it outstanding. Thanks guys for those quick responses and resolving that issue with such a good dedication. Keep it up Plivo !!!

We choose to incorporate Plivo's SMS messaging into our Newfies-Dialer SMS and Voice Broadcasting software as our experience showed that they have good worldwide rates, their delivery of SMS was reliable, and it was straightforward to integrate Plivo's service into our software. We would not hesitate to recommend them.

Good company but terrible

Good company but terrible, slow support, If Plivo matched their service with their support it would be the best company but sadly Plivo falls short on tech support when and where its needed and only replies to general answers so unless your literally a VoIP/App/Asterisk Developer and know what you are doing, using Plivo will seem practically impossible. the company is great but they get let down by their support. Sometimes 2-3 days to reply with a general answer and unless you send multiple support tickets then you get left unanswered. Plivo is good if you know what you are doing but terrible terrible support. Like I said, great if you know what you are doing and you are a proficient expert VoIP App developer but as soon as you need support, the support is very slow, non-existent. it would be a even better company if they offered better, more responsive, helpful support. I give them a 5 star because their product is excellent. they really do need to improve their support.

Even when the "system" is up and running, our end users complained a lot about not receiving the sms... Whenever we reached out to Plivo they gave us a typical response from their support team: "we checked with our provider and SMS was successfully sent." always blaming end users' phones for dropping the messages... EVERY SINGLE TIME!!

Unacceptable customer support

I tried register with Plivo but did not receive any starting credits to test the service. I then tried to transfer 25$ but my payment was put on hold. After a day they claimed they needed some kind of identity proof. They wanted some ridiculous image of the card etc. This did not register with me, so I asked them to first at least open my account for demo usage - with no response.

It seems they have a great service with low prices so I really wanted to use them, but no serious business should use a service that can't even help you become a customer! I strongly discourage anybody from using this service, unless they have lots of patience.

You can try Nexmo instead, seems to be much of the same - only which works.
