I recently attempted to trade in my Samsung S22 Ultra through Phobio. During the process, I was instructed to ship the device in its original box if available, which I did.
After their inspection, the offered trade-in value was significantly lower than expected, so I declined the offer and requested my device to be returned. Unfortunately, the return experience was disappointing. The phone was not repackaged properly—it was sent back without any protective wrapping and placed loosely inside a large box. Additionally, my original box was not returned.
This lack of care in handling and returning my device was frustrating and unprofessional. Overall, I am not satisfied with the service and expected much better handling of customers’ property.

Worst service. Almost a month just for a trade in? It was a waste of my time. They took forever to receive my device (about 2 weeks) and took another 2 weeks to do the inspection and send me the gift card. When I reached out to the customer service they were ignoramt and tried to blame it on me that I don’t understand their process. Very inconvenient and just because of that I missed my opportunity to buy my computer that was on sale. I would rather go somewhere else next time. Zero stars for the service 👎🏻

I was promised $112, but was given $72.
I was promised $112 for an unlocked phone in excellent shape, it was on Rogers up until 2 weeks before trade in, then it was on Telus, a different network. I was only given $72, reason given, it was a Rogers only phone. I have the receipt from Amazon showing it was an unlocked phone. I can provide the pic.

I sent my iphone to trade in
I sent my iphone to trade in. It was unlocked, and paid off fully. Phobio received the phone and said it was not unlocked, so the value was $100 less than the original quote. I wanted it mailed back to me and when prompted what address to send to, it wouldn't let me change the address, so there was a way to contact customer service to change the return shipping address (I had moved) and I did that but never heard back. When I was sent multiple reminders from phobio to "accept" the trade in I went through the process again (2 more times). Whole thing felt scammy to me because 1) the phone WAS unlocked and 2) they wouldn't send it back to me so that I could sell it myself. I am really disappointed and will never recommend nor use Phobio again.
Traded in an ipad mini
Traded in an ipad mini. The process was easy! Took about a week and a half for me to get their packaging, get my device into the packaging, take to have it shipped (they paid the return postage), then get my e-card to spend at Costco.
