If Nellis Auctions wants to stay in business, they need to do more quality control of their products that are being purchased. Case and point: I have returned over 15 items that are supposedly (5 sta... Mehr ansehen

Hate the bid extension
Hate the bid extension! Will not be buying as long as this stays in place.
What's with the extended time on items…
What's with the extended time on items - it has no end to the bidding. You sit there and wait to bid ONLY to add more time for more bids and it keeps going up and up - you might as well price your items and just post them for sale with what you want?????????????
It was fun while it lasted. I have now lost interest on Nellis based on this new set up :(
I used to love this auction it was fun…
I used to love this auction it was fun and I got some good deals. With that being said with the new extended ending times has taken all the fun out of it and is nolonger worth my time.
It used to be a good second-hand deal
It used to be a good second-hand deal. Now, it's another Con-ya-fornia scam. I am so sick of firing those people! Good-bye!
Bid Extensions Ruined It All...
Ill start by saying I have won 250 items in the last 3 months. I have also returned several items because a vast majority of the auctions are inaccurately described. You could get decent deals if you were persistent and paid attention.
The way the system worked previously to 2/22/24 was that you would have items ending on the minute, every minute from around 6:00pm to about 9 or 10PM every day. At that time, you were usually able to scroll through and see what is ending, make your bids and move on. Many people like to snipe the bid at the last 5 seconds. Usually getting a better deal on the items. Now, if you make a bid in the last 30 seconds, it will extend the auction another 30 seconds. This does two things a buyer hates; it allows the items to be bid up (I'll explain more) and it eliminates the ability to scroll on in the list of items that are ending next. Browsing items by "ending soonest" is no longer a viable option as each page might have 1 item that is going on and on for its 30 second extension and the next page may be the same, or refresh and have you miss several pages of ending items.
In my first mention of items bidding up; I was watching an item that was at $1 from Bidder1, Bidder2 bid $2 in the last few seconds, as well as Bidder3 bidding $3 in the last seconds. What would have happened a week ago is that Bidder3 would have won for $3. However what really happened is Bidder1 came back and increased his bid, then Bidders 2 and 3 bid as well. Bidder3 stopped at $5. Bidder2 bid it up $1 at a time, extending the auction 30 seconds each time until it got to $51. Bidder1 had apparently set a $50 max.
If Bidder1 had initially bid $5 max, he would have won it on the old system via auto proxy bid or he would have lost to Bidder3 with $3. However now Bidder2 is paying $51 +15% +LocalTax, Roughly $63 on an item that probably wasn't described correctly and or is damaged, missing pieces, etc. The item (Trampoline net kit) was $60 new on amazon anyway.
Overall, they probably will not change their system back to the old way because this makes them way more money. I hope it causes them more headaches though. I hope they get more calls, more returns, more complaints overall. Its the bidders/buyers that lose in this scenario. Just know that all items on NellisAuction.com was damaged or returned for some reason. Even if it looks new.
Added time😡Wrong item🙄Damaged item😠
My last pick up at 3 locations of a bunch of things was terrible, almost everything was either damaged or different than what I thought I was bidding on. And what’s the point of having a specific time bidding ends if Nellis just keeps adding more time?? Lately the items purchased have been 👎🏻 but this adding time garbage is a load, and it will definitely deter me from dealing with Nellis Auction. To be fair, the people at the pick up sites are always so nice😇
New bidding "rules" and extensions.
Nellis Auction recently sent out notice to all customers about a change in bidding. What I get out of this change is basically "stretching rules" so they are no longer rules. In the auction, I knew when it would be closed. I paid attention and bid accordingly. I would adjust my final bid knowing I was taking a chance. Now, rules are out the door! I pay attention, and then boom! Somebody at the last second extends the game? I see this only and mainly as a ploy or strategy to increase bids and profits for your company. No other reason.....for my "enjoyment"?! Really?
I am very leery of this change, and I for one, am done with your site. Look at my history.... I have spent a lot of money with you folks. I had been very VERY happy with the whole process. Now, I have no illusions.....you'll read this, maybe agree, maybe not...but you guys will continue on....and I hope successfully, but I will no longer participate. I have one pick up and that is the last.
Good luck.
P.S. Pay attention to social media. I wonder if this will reverberate in a negative or positive fashion. I guess we'll see.
I got some great deals initially
I got some great deals initially, but have had several issues with items. Items clearly damaged and pieces missing when stated 5* condition. With the recent bid extension change, I won’t purchase again. I don’t even bid until the last minute, because bidding early just drives up the price. Last minute bidding is totally fair and even eBay does not interfere with the bid process.
Good luck, NellisAuction….I hope you retain the customers who are novice bidders. Serious and experienced customers are gone.
FRUSTRATION!
I was happy with all the purchases I won in the past several months UNTIL tonight as their auction practice changed and even the items are won the clock reset for another 30 seconds for several times to give other bidders a chance to bid against you "won" bid. This new process is unfair and unjust to the bidders who won their bids. My friend had worn me earlier that it happened to her yesterday when she placed her bid and won. I won't place any more bids until Nellis Auction remove their extended 30 seconds rule. I hope Nellis Auction realize this is not the right way to treat your bidders.
Very Disappointed Bidder.
Such a BS site and company
This is such BS. Nellis is hiding behind "customer complaints" to drive up revenue, bottom line. People don't go to you site to spend money, they go to see how much they can save off retail. The truth is this is an online auction not a live auction. It has an end time which you are basically saying, "Well if you want to pay more we will give you an extra :30 seconds to win your bid" when if they had just bid their max in the first place then maybe they would have out bid the person who beat them from the start.
Like I said. I'm done. Won't be using your site. Cancel any pending wins.
Nothing is new, even though they say it is
I give 2 stars only because I have had a few good purchases, other than that, I have had to return many items because they simply don't work and/or are broken or missing parts. They list almost everything as new but they are not. They are mostly returned items from Amazon and other retailers. They are returned for a reason, most of them because they don't work. If the items are electronic or mechanical you can expect them not to work, most of the time. It used to be better but now it's terrible. I simply just stopped shopping with them.
Overpriced "Estimated Retail" price…
Overpriced "Estimated Retail" price indicators. I am new to the site and haven't won anything. The few things I find interesting have "estimated retail" prices about 20% over what I could actually buy at retail. Today, I came across an item that was 12x "estimate" over what it retails for elsewhere. At the time of me writing this, the highest bidder was actually 50% over retail, and even if he wins at that price, will probably walk away feeling like he got a good deal. What a joke.
About half of the things I purchased…
About half of the things I purchased were missing parts or didn't work. They have a closing time but don't adhere to it. I had the bid when the auction closed but they allow late bids to win. Not at all honest and fair.
DO NOT purchase anything that requires…
DO NOT purchase anything that requires assembly. Have purchased 3 different items, at different times with 5 stars that were missing more than half the parts. Items purchased that did not require assembly have worked for the most part.
In general, it’s a rip off.
IT'S AN AUCTION...SPEND SOME MONEY AND FUN
Sometimes you will get a great deal but be aware that most of the items for auction are items that people have returned to Amazon or other retailers because they didn't work or were missing parts or they just weren't satisfied with the item, Also the pictures and descriptions Nellis uses are most often stock photos from Amazon and not necessarily the item your actually receiving, I often find that the auction items estimated retail price is sometimes higher than you could buy the item outright from other retailers. Nellis will gladly return items that can be re-auctioned Do your due diligence and have fun.
I purchased 4 items for my boss
I purchased 4 items for my boss. I work for a cleaning company and thought I had found a great deal. Purchased a tower fan, 3 o cedar mop kits( bucket, mop stick mop head) All items listed as new - no damage. 2 boxes looked like had been resealed. 1 mop stick broken, 1 mop head dirty. Pulled out fan and it was filthy! Had been used a lot! So embarrassing in front of my boss. Won’t use them again for our company. Check items before you leave parking lot

I bought a wrong weed trimmer, used it one time and it stopped working.looks new and everything, battery full charge nothing.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
Items are 95% broken or missing key components (yes you can easily return for full refund but it still sucks). Customer service reps are rude and don't care to assist.
I have been using Nellis since day they…
I have been using Nellis since day they opened. I was excited at first, then comes real world. Wrong description, missing parts. They say take the order and bring back but they charge you restocking fees on return. Not fair the employee are told quantity over quality. They do no drug tests, so we have a bunch of kids that don’t care if it is missing parts just move product. Have huge turn over. Once again not taking care of employees! Which means customer pays the price. Not sure they will last in Katy. Management needs to understand customers have a choice. Done
After having spent 15k with this…
After having spent 15k with this company, dealing with the BS of having to chase parts or returning items I think I'm done. I incurred return fees for items for instance they advertise Zildjian K cymbals I win the bid then find out there Zildjian A which is 1/2 the value. They tell me pay for it then return. I owe 300 for returns that didn't make sense after the bid was won. They don't know what there selling.
