Our breakdown renewal application was dealt with speedily on the phone and very satisfactorily. The operative was courteous and experienced and dealt with our requirements exactly. We have never yet had to call Motoring Assist out for a breakdown but after speaking to them on the telephone we have every confidence that they would look after us in an emergency. Awful service
Awful service. They auto renew after the first year and then unbeknown to me they turn this into a monthly membership. So for the last 3 years they have been charging me which I have not noticed as I’ve had no emails from them in this time. During this time I’ve sold the car, so I’ve been paying for cover for a car for the last 3 years that I no longer had. I will not be going back to them for breakdown cover. As a response to them below, it is not obvious that it goes onto a monthly membership, nowhere in any of the emails that had been sent to me up to the 23.05.2023 does it state this. I’ve had no emails since this date, do you find this acceptable? Not even after a year to remind the customer? Very sneaky. I’ll be removing my partners breakdown cover from you also

Thank you for your feedback.
At time of purchase, you agreed to the membership Terms which clearly state that annual memberships automatically renew after 12 months onto a monthly rolling membership, which continues until cancelled. An email reminder is issued prior to renewal.
As no cancellation request was received until April 2026, the membership continued in line with the agreed Terms. We were also not notified that the vehicle had been sold in October 2023. Vehicle sales or changes must be reported directly to us, as we have no independent way of being made aware of this.
We can see the cover has been cancelled following your request this week, and no further payments will be taken.
Reasonable Pricing with Motor Assistance
Been with Motoring Assistance one year, When I looked around on the Internet at Breakdown Cover. I was paying £240.00 an year for everything I have with Motoring Assistance. This was about 70% cheaper than my last provider.

I haven’t used the service to date, thank god! but I’m sure i have the piece of mind that i have a back up system in place-if anything does go wrong. its knowing thats in place is a weight off my mind.
