We are still waiting for the Courts to decide when our appeal will happen. Victor is always available to answer any questions. Our case has taken longer than we expected but hopefully we are nearing completion. We appreciate that he is very busy but he always finds time to be of assistance. I have probably asked this question before, but why do some Marriott cases take longer than others to complete when all of their contracts are the same?

This is indeed a long and drawn out process. I feel confident that our case which is approaching a conclusion will have a positive outcome for us.
M1 Legal always been responsive to my enguiries sometimes giving quite detailed updates on how things are going.
I feel that M1 and our lawyer Victor are working well to get a just resolution for us.

We raised a claim 7 years ago that's right SEVEN. Today is 7 years to the day we signed with ECC. We were initially paying it off monthly, but heard nothing until we'd paid the balance in one go after 2 years. (2020) We were told it would take 6 months when we first signed up. Last year we were advised we won the appeal, then we were advised that was an error and we are awaiting appeal at Supreme Court since last February. I believe CLC and M1 Legal are just in it together. No way should it take 7 years.

Words can not express enough how amazingly pleased I was with Sara Moya professional advice.
Not having received any news for a long time from your company, I need ed an update and particularly an understanding about the reality of my claim .
Sara helped me to gain a full understanding of the legal process as well as an update about the current situation in a very warm and patient manner.

We are writing to confirm that your claim credit was reported to the Liquidators of Club La Costa, FRP Advisory.
FRP Advisory is currently in the process of investigating the assets of Club La Costa and working diligently to recover funds that will be used to compensate all creditors involved.
We want to assure you that we are continuously monitoring the progress of these liquidation proceedings. We will keep you, as well as all other creditors, fully informed of any developments or changes as they occur.
We understand that this is a complex and potentially prolonged process, and we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Should you require any additional information or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to assist you.

FRP, being the liquidators of CLC UK Plc have provided a statutory update of the case, in accordance with the Insolvency Act of 1986.FRP is completely independent of ECC and operates according to statute.
The January 2025 update states that a large network of companies have been identified which all have some relationship to the parent company under investigation.
FRP are working hard to identify all possible sources of assets that may eventually be used to settle creditor’s claims.
FRP expect the current phase of the process to conclude by November 2025.
Until FRP release a further, or interim, report we have no further details.

A recovery from the depths of despair
Our dealings with ECC were exemplary. With the help of Taylor, we were taken through the the whole legal process .
No promises made, but immediately felt that they were a huge shoulder to lean on.
Basically, our grievance was against a holiday park, and the value that they gave us on our lodge, on which we had been reassured would be healthy, should circumstances change.
My wife has been strongly advised to relocate to warmer climes due to ill health.
So 8 months after purchase, at a cost of £92,000, we were given a valuation of £40,000. Words don't convey our thoughts on our future. We felt trapped.
Fortunately, a friend suggested that we look at the ECC website.
Less than a month later we had a visit from a director of the holiday park.
A surprise but much appreciated.
It became obvious, that he was made aware of ECC involvement, and after a frank discussion, substantially increased his offer.
There's no doubt in our minds, if we hadn't had the backing of ECC, we would not be in the much healthier position that we are in now
