Promotional Shambles
Very easy to set the new card up. Attracted by the promotional offer of £20 of vouchers and checked the t and c’s to claim but found that there isn’t a link to claim this and NewDay have not responded to my query on this so far!
Thank you for your reply. I contacted both live chat and a representative of NewDay both of whom could not identify the promotional offer I received on 15/7/26.
Cara at NewDay said the offer of 2,000 points equating to £20 worth of vouchers if the card was used within 30 days (which it was) is not on her system and they know nothing about it. I explained I had the email from John Lewis Money and this is a shambles and not what I expect at all from John Lewis. Very disappointing and perhaps JL can communicate with NewDay and sort this out and credit my card account accordingly please?

excessive foreign exchange fees and delay in paying credit balance back to me
I had a credit on my card and decided to use this to purchase some items abroad for my new property. In total I have been charged £117.30 in foreign exchange fees. I have just called to get the remaining credit balance transferred to my Monzo account (which does not charge for purchases made abroad) and have been told that this will take 7-10 working days to process.

I prefer obtaining my foreign currency in person. Always use John lewis. As the in store bureau in Nottingham is closing it will be the last time. Marks and spencers in the future!

Be very careful here
Exchange rate = excellent
Ease of purchase = excellent
Sent on time = excellent
Picking up at waitrose = poor
On the terms and conditions it says all you need to do to collect is have the email with the order num and ID to collect this is a lie. You also need to be the person to collect it. I purchase and my wife can not collect it because she was not the one who purchased it perversly I was also not allowed to collect because my wife's name was on the form to collect!
