I used the Ingo service through PayPal to cash checks given to me for side-work I do. I paid the fees to have the funds immediately because it cost less than cashing them at a bank since I do not have an account. I was under the impression the purpose of this service is to cash checks for people who do not have bank accounts, as that is what is stated in their advertisements.
However, after using the service for 2 weeks, they suddenly stopped cashing the checks and closed my account. When I reached out for an explanation, they refused to give me one. I asked to escalate my account for deeper review and they responded by telling me I have had suspicious activity (which is nonsense) and they would not go further into it than that. So now, my name is flagged as suspicious, with no explanation. I worked in banking for a decade before staying home with my children so I know the criteria for suspicious accounts. I have done nothing for them to label me this way. The checks were all paid, and I made this company money by paying their fees. Yet this is how they treat their customers. I have read other reviews stating that something similar happened to them. As consumers, we deserve explanations. This check-cashing company cashed my checks without asking for ID yet I am the suspicious one? I am extremely upset by this because I now have a flag on my name. For no reason. I would discourage anyone from using this service. Support your local banks instead.

they have got to be the worst customer service EVER!! i have used this service multiple times without issues thru Venmo and NOW theu permanently closed my account for NO REASON!?? WHY!!?? I am sooo pissed off that i have to get another dang card just to add my checks at a local store to transfer the funds into my venmo or use that card as back up!!!! they are sooo wrong for this mess!! i NEVER DONE ANYTHING WRONG! ITS YOUR SERVICES!! THEY WILL NEVER TELL YOU WHY THEY CLOSED IT AND THEY WON'T LET YOU OPEN ANYMORE ACCOUNTS WITH THEM!!

This is the most useless app ever! I have used them for several years and never given them or presented a bad check. Last night I tried to deposit a check and kept getting some dumb and false message that my check had already been cashed. Not true at all. Then this am they basically said “sorry, not sorry-go cash it elsewhere. It makes little sense to me! They were charging $75 for cashing it too! I’m kind of glad they rejected it. I was only willing to pay that much for the convenience. So not only is this a useless app, their customer service stinks.

I went through their process of cashing a check through Paypal for business expenses because I saw that I could cash in minutes. Only to be told after I voided the check that the process failed and not to resubmit without reason. So now I have to request another paper check and go elsewhere. I am giving this poor rating due to the lack of explanation for the defect. Do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere. and the positive ratings here I am pretty sure are affiliated and are paid

This company will deactivate your account calling you at risk but will offer no explanation as to why. They give the same old same old we wish we could help, sorry for the inconvenience... This company is run by charlatans of the worst sort

Am i Not Economically Viable? 5 Years I've banked with Dave.com, that company most known for providing cash advances to members, as well as mobile check cashing provided by Ingo Money. My account with Dave has always been in good standing and very active.

So much for that. Or maybe Ingo Money is just confused about what the word "risk" means.

After paying a $36 fee to instantly receive the funds into my account, I was sent a two line email from Ingo simply saying my check was returned and unable to be deposited with Ingo—my bank's only option for check cashing. No information regarding the decision to return my check. Am I not economically viable?

They portray themselves as the easy going, hassle free when in reality the are difficult and discouraging to deal with. After attempting to simply view my failed attempt I was greeted with an aggressive line from them stating that "my account" had been deemed too high of a risk for them. What does that mean? I don't have an Ingo account. Never was asked to sign up with Ingo. Now because Ingo is used by a large number of banks and services it's nearly impossible for me to deposit my eCheck.

ZERO STARS. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

You know it's sad to have to do this, but I need to ask. (Why have someone go through the process of verifying themselves by sending a selfie of them holding their ID) then minutes into receiving an email verification, go to use the app to cash their check into an US based account, get flagged and have their account revoked?

In my eyes, A business shouldn't run that way, but hey this just means you lost a loyal and honest person.

I don't know why people are giving such negative reviews unless there reason is due to not having there issue resolved the way they wanted to. I too had issues however,they were able to fix it. I think there customer service is outstanding during my whole issue did I have one rep who wasn't professional, courtesy, and super pleasent. With the 8 phone call I made to them. Yes my issue was resolved and the out come was good. The upper management was also very professional and made sure that I was taken care of!

This scam app is a joke. I tried to deposit a check into my paypal using this. IT gives you a prompt that this process can take a long time, so feel free to close this window and go back to using your phone, which I did, and when I checked back, it had told me I cancelled the transaction and now I can't deposit that check at my bank or anywhere else bc Ingo says it was returned. You owe me 400 bucks you pieces of garbage. and no I'm NOT going to just ask the check issuer to issue another one. I'm not going to look like some idiot that doesn't know how to cash a check because of your incompetence and your half-assed scam of an app.

They emailed me saying I needed to write void to finish my mobile deposit then denied the check.

After using this app a couple dozen times without incident including paying their rather high fees, I was randomly sent a message from InGo that I had “become” a risk therefore closing my account without further remarks. Just like that. All my banking info …everything they still have in their data banks. I shall file a complaint with both the FTC and the CFPB.

Please tell me how does one become blackballed and not even have a chance to use your services? I was just told that I am my account was terminated because I violated some type of safety or security purposes, and then couldn’t be told what I did wrong exclamation how can you sit here and tell somebody that they cannot use your service and then not tell them why?!? if you are a person that is going to try to use and go money to cash a check through PayPal or whatever just know it’s a joke I tried to use your services three times and each time deny deny deny it in the checks were good. This company is a joke , thank you for not being convenient at all whatsoever.

I had an issue with loading my check, it said my check was accepted to write void on the check and take a picture so I did. Next it said that the transaction failed. I called Ingo Money and spoke with Janill, this woman was amazing and took the time to do what was needed to make things right. Janill was patient, understanding and caring; it is others like her that make me thrilled that there are others in customer service that care so much about their customers. Ingo Money and other business need more customer service representatives like Janill.

Paypal uses this company to look at checks that get deposited into Paypal accounts. Over a six-month period, they have declined 100% of all checks that I attempt to deposit into my Paypal. I will have to close my business Paypal account and move to a different service to run things from.

They’ve been holding my check since Saturday for a “technical issue” I have a big fat void on my check so nobody else will cash it. I wish so badly I never even used this service. DO NOT USE ANY SERVICE THAT USED INGO!!

I left a review about a week ago and revised it due to ingo reaching out to me. While they did reach out and did say they would review my check it still did not get approved so I waited and took it to the bank where it was cashed in minutes for a fraction of what they were going to charge me. So due to convenience I decided to try these guys out again with my payroll check an low and behold they declined my check again that is 5 times now everytime I've tried to use this company they do not come through. Now I appreciated them reaching out but they gotta produce as well as reach out or their reaching out is pointless in a way appreciated but pointless. I can't see how this company stays in business. maybe they only cash fraudulent checks. Who knows but they do not cash real liget checks not personal not payroll not 3rd party not anything so good luck to anyone trying to use this company for check cashing purposes. As for myself I will no longer be attempting to use this place for any reason total let down.

Don’t use it sucks maybe scammers not safe don’t trustworthy site

Ingo is one of the worst companies to work with in resolving any matter. For starters, I have never had any positive experience with anyone I have ever spoken to at Ingo or using services that use Ingo for mobile cash checking. Then when in a tight space and getting help with my parents financially, they weren't accepting the check and then made my account inactive. When I called their support to find out what caused this and willing provide any information needed to prove this was not meant to violate whatever terms they say I violated I never got an answer as to what I actually did that they did not like. A "case" was put to a team apparently to review my account and without taking ANY information from me to help fight the status of my account, was told I should hear back within 48 hours. Less than 30 minutes later I got an email stating my account will remain inactive. I reached out again today, and am told my account is closed because of this "violation" however no one will tell me what I did that apparently to violate their terms and fight for my account. I can understand that if I had done something deliberately violating their terms or fraudulently that my account should be on hold. But I literally have not a clue as to what I did caused this and now have no way to use any services that use InGo for mobile check cashing.
