Have had technicians a few times to redo small patches of accidental damage to colour of suite. Very professional and pleasant staff . We have never had any issues with guardsman regarding any repair... Mehr ansehen

Technician very professional as always…

Technician very professional as always . Polite , informative and reliably quick. Suite had marks on it from accidental damage and this was repaired to a satisfactory result .Very happy with service guardsman and their technicians provide . Would recommend guardsman for suite cover to anybody .

Speedy service

I was really impressed with the service. I logged the details of the damage and by the next day I was advised a technician woukd contact me.
Within days I had a call from the technician, appointment arranged and work carried out with no issues.

It took a month for someone to come out…

It took a month for someone to come out and clean the stain which i dont find acceptable

Not good

I am afraid, I have not had a pleasant experience. Bought sofa, header broke and have been waiting for 8 months for the part to come from Hong Kong! I had to take this company to Ombudsman now to resolve this issue.

Waste of time

Waste of time, made a claim in November 2025 still waiting 6 months later. One call I made to them they said we have other people to deal with as well. Sent a complaint letter to Christoper Pratts in Leeds , never heard another word from them. The companies take your money but not bothered about customer satisfaction.

Waste of money insurance

I bought an expensive sofa from DFS and was advised to take out Guardsman insurance, which I did without hesitation. A few years later, we had an issue with one of the sofas and made a claim, eventually we were contacted and a Technician visited, looked at the sofa and commented to my wife that was it her husband's chair and does he take blood pressure tablets as they are causing the damage to the leather via my sweat. Was told they would assess the damage and get back to us

I then received an email to say it was not covered by the policy and it is in the t & cs, so if I had spilt something on it they or tore it they would have repaired it, the moral is I won't purchase one of their policies again and waste my money!

Guardsman huge rip-off

When we bought Guardsman cover we were told everything on our settee was covered for five years, we've only hasd it three years & they wouldn't touch it. We got them out to make a repair & respray some marks, they didn't want to do anything. Told us their cover had changed since we bought it so they we weren't covered for anything. Waste of time even buying cover with them, a huge rip-off.

Highly recommended

This was my second claim in as many months. Easy to contact Guardsman team to organise the repair to our settee.
Received confirmation quickly. John who attended the repair, emailed me early to arrange the repair and then after my confirmation, John emailed me the day before to advise of the time.
John very quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the mechanical part to raise the recliner.
Very happy with both services received so far.
Highly recommend to take out this insurance company when purchasing furniture. We have already had our money back and more in just the 2 call outs. Worth every penny

Guardsman experience

Professionalism, approachable. Seemed honest, easy to talk to and generally a pleasure to have in our home. We had general questions about sofas and what to buy and not to and he answered openly and honestly.

Don’t waste your money

Bought corner sofa from DFS end of 2023. Had excellent service and write a review about their service to say so . I don’t normally take out insurance covers on furniture or white goods as what ever you claim for never appears to be covered , but this young lady convinced me to take out Guardsman cover as I purchased a fibre filled sofa and I did expect it to lose some resilience but was told that you get a one off refill with this policy as well as accidental damage etc , so just for a refill I thought it would be worth it . How wrong I was as when the technician came and finished his chat of percentage this and that of how much resilience it had lost his view was it was acceptable what it had lost , although it is really uncomfortable to sit on now so he wouldn’t be doing anything about it .
Please don’t waste your money with this company, I have just been bored silly with the guy from customer service who was no help other than to say it’s not covered .
I will be In touch with DFS to tell them that they are selling these policies which reading other reviews are useless
