Definite Bang for your buck

The quality of the meat is great. The packaging and delivery was as described and exceeded my expectations. With the current pricing fluctuations at the grocery store, this has already reduced the stress on my budget.

Worst steak ever!

I had started this subscription for delivery every 3 mos, as it's just my husband and myself in the house and we don't eat a lot, one steak can feed us both, I kept my order to just beef, placed my first order and before I could even try one of the items I had ordered, I got another box full of same thing. My husband, an awesome and revered smoker/grill expert in his own right, cooked one for himself, a large ribeye, the way he likes it, still mooing, and said it was one of the worst pieces of meat he's ever had to deal with. I thought maybe we should try again as we are already sitting on 2 full boxes of beef anyway, so for my birthday, my husband tried again, keeping in mind, the issues he had with the 1st one, it wasn't any better. I think it was worse, it was tough and grisselly. This is some crappy meat, not worth the $ or time it takes to cook it. I would not recommend this place to buy scraps to make dog food, definitely not for human consumption. I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS COMPANY!

From a skeptic's POV... Give a shot!

I haven't had a good experience with food/meal delivery companies since my family ordered from Schwann's back in the 90s, so I was very skeptical about this one.
I'm only on my second order and I have to say, it seems to be worth it. I am spending a little more than I'd like to, but that's because the lava cakes and marscapone cheesecakes didn't last a week after my first delivery.
The quality of the meat is pretty decent. I'd say better than what you'll get at the grocery store, but not as good as getting it straight from the butcher, but that's just my opinion on the few choices I picked last month. I got more of a variety this time, but I'm sure my opinion will be more or less the same since nothing really beats getting fresh meat from the butcher.

The grass fed beef dogs and ribeye cook well and tasted well off my cast iron slotted pan now as for the brats I haven’t eaten any yesterday but I have a 4 pack thawing but everything else was really good!!!!

Quality

Quality - I’ve been purchasing from good chop for about a year. My orders are mainly ribeye steaks, filet mignon steaks, and chicken breast. I’m impressed with the quality and flavor of their meats. The fact that they’re not shot full of hormones, their free range and USA grown is a plus in my book. I have tried a number of other things on their menu like their ribs, bacon and shrimp and have never been disappointed. They’re always on time with their deliveries and the orders are always correct. If I have anything negative to say, I didn’t care for their fish sticks. Overall, I am very pleased with their service and their products.

Mixed response…

I liked the way each item is sealed pack, the delivery, the taste and quality of the food. The dislike on this last delivery was that I ordered pacific cod (4 pieces) and received 1 package (2 pieces) of Halibut instead.

Very disappointed in the chicken…

Very disappointed in the chicken portion size were extremely small. Grass-fed steak was very tough.

I have tried a couple of these…

I have tried a couple of these services, and we decided with our larger family to try Good Chop. The first box was fine - not overwhelmed by quality of meat or cuts, but I got what I apaid for. the second box came partially defrosted, and all of the ground beef packages were split open. I reached out to them, and they said they would replace it. they never did. That is a big deal to a family with three teenage boys. There are much better companies to spend your hard earned dollars with - these folks will leave you hanging. And yes, I have tried contacting them several times since, and no response.

Well, they finally responded, said yes, we promised you a replacement but then later decided to just credit you $19. Then, after this, they decided to credit me $79. I don’t want a credit. Refund my box in full, or send a replacement for the ruined box you sent.

PLEASE. Do NOT do business with this shady lying company. Terrible customer service

Unfortunately I never really got to try…

Unfortunately I never really got to try their product because I had nothing but problems with their customer service starting with my initial order. I was lured in with a promotion and then I check out they completely change the promotion which was not what I initially wanted. However they were still giving me a discount so I went forward and then there were issues with payment. I was told the payment issues were fine everything was rectified and I received an email telling me that my order was being shipped. Needless to say the order never arrived and I was told I would not be receiving a shipment for about another month. Too much dishonesty and aggravation. I thought this would be an economical and good switch from Allen Brothers. Once again I'm reminded you get what you pay for.
