We had insurance with them for a Jaguar xe half way though the policy we asked to change the vehicle to a Mercedes as we had change of circumstances in the family. Geoffrey insurance refused to insure the Mercedes and would not insure this vehicle. So they forced our hands to cancel the policy and to top it off they charged us a cancellation fee and not able to get this years no claims bonus.

The company is a joke, I paid for my insurance annually over the phone and got confirmation that I am all set up and then a month later they cancelled my policy stating non payment. Absolute joke of a company - avoid at all costs - trying to scam late fees when it was all paid upfront

Would avoid at all costs take money from your account for no reason and don't admit they are in the wrong.
Never have a no fault claim with them they sting you even if it was not your fault out of pocket avoid!!!!!!

It was a neutral experience as my renewal offer been so high than previously car insurance so I have found a cheaper option for a new customer and what was strange I have been forced to end previously insurance and buy a new one.

Over £1000 a year insurance and a guaranteed car . Nearly 7 weeks I have finally had an offer made. . Took 7 days hours of phone calls for them to agree to a courtesy car. Which was taken away after 28 days . They lost my car for a month and left me without a car for two . Everything I’ve got out of them I’ve had to fight for. I have had the worst experience of my life for something that wasn’t my fault. Made worse by the lousy customer service and lack of cooperation from Geoffrey insurance. They have the cheek to take £450 excess and then £25 because my address has changed. The sooner I’m free of Geoffrey the better. DO NOT go with these on the phone again getting passed about to find out about the payment of my car . Geoffrey insurance never contact you the worst company this is

I had a no fault claim due to a driver hitting my car and failing to stop fortunately I got the registration number and nd I contacted the police and Geoffrey insurance immediately... They were absolutely brilliant... The lady on the phone was called Kathleen and she had a Liverpool accent and she was amazing... After giving details of what happened they confirmed it was the other drivers fault and that there would be no costs incurred to myself and they would contact the other drivers insurance company.... Within the hour I was contacted by the car hire company and the garage to have my car sorted at a time convenient to myself... I was extremely impressed by how quickly everything was escalated and the communication was between insurance company, garage, car hire company and myself... Outstanding service so well done

Absolutely appalling service. Today I have tried to speak to somebody in relation to my courtesy car I have spent 5 hours being passed from pillar to post, calls dropping out, nobody able to give an answer or even transferring to different company.
My claim was registered 13th December, I still haven’t had a settlement or any indication when this will be sorted.
Now the Courtesy car needs returning and I am being left without a car, still no sign of settlement being sorted. How am I supposed to know what I have to spend on a new car? I can’t sort this without my payment. How am I supposed to get to work?
I didn’t realise a company could be this bad.

when i phoned they were taking me around in circles i just ask for my nc bonus lazy staff working in this company and i have email them about my NCB but they haven't replied you know they just don't care about customers very disgraceful !!!

I used the webchat to advise of change of vehicle from toyota CHR 1.9 GR Sport(INS GP27) to a Renault Symbioz Estate 1.8(Ins GP 19) as the website would not allow me to do it online. Unfortunately I was told that the underwriter would not insure my new vehicle for an unknown reason and that i would have to cancel and pay a cancelation fee:-
ISF £45.00
Payment received so far = £548.43
cancellation fee of £60.00 applied
Balance of £33.78 will be refunded
I find this very surprising as my new car is several groups lower than my original and sounds like they are just trying to squeeze extra money from the consumer!
So be careful

I have been contacted by Viki from customer services and after discussing why the underwriter declined to cover my new car because of replacement market value being a lot higher. I understand this but she also acknowledged my concerns and would highlight it.
So full marks in responding and if they deal with issues in a similar manner then it puts them in a positive light.

One of the best insurers I’ve been with. Communication has been great and everything has been no-nonsense and easy to navigate. I’ve decided to move on this year but only due to price comparisons. It was so easy to decline the renewal quote and close things off. Would definitely consider re-insuring with Geoffrey in the future and highly recommend.
