Your renewal price isn’t what they take !!!!

My renewal price was £477.91 but you took £753.37 out of my account and left me with no money !!!!
I explained this and you still haven’t returned my money……..

Tried to cancel my insurance after…

Tried to cancel my insurance after selling my car, of which they told me it had been done, then they are ringing me to ask for payment as my policy was still running I explained I had called to cancel.
Tried to pay rest off to be told that they couldn't take payment as there payment system was broken.
I tried the following day twice after being on hold for 40 mins on both occasions for know one to answer!!!!
Numours emails again no response!!!
Finally got through again couldn't take card payment, so I asked for a call back 3 days later then they sent me a link via text so I could pay that came back with your payment may not have been successful???
And to top it off it's effected my credit file.
Totally incompetent definitely would not use this company, very poor customer service and very poor English language.

3 hours of going round the houses and…

3 hours of going round the houses and then being spoken to like I’m some child. Your departments was giving me the wrong information and then when you want a bit of clarification is seems like it’s too much trouble. Lilly was the most condescending person that really wound me up! I was not asking for special treatment I was just wanting the information that I need to proceed with my claim. You was acting like someone forced you to do this job and you have zero care. Go get a different job if you can’t be bothered. I hate rude people and this company has left a bad taste. I asked for the complaints procedure and the supervisor said I can only make a complaint to her, which felt like it was not going to go anywhere. Treat people with respect it’s not that difficult!!!

Massive communication issues to get proof of 12 years NCD

I’m having real issues speaking to someone who understands what I’m asking for, which is proof of my 12 years no claims, rather than just 9. The people I’ve spoken to so far are making it feel impossible and really hard work and telling me it’s not possible to give me proof of the 12 years. It’s super frustrating that it’s so difficult to actually speak to someone. I was cut off whilst on hold after speaking to 2 people, so I have tried to email but I’m not even sure it’s a correct email address? If anyone could help me it would be appreciated!!!

You shouldn’t have to chase, be passed around, or be cut off when you’re just trying to get something as simple and important as proof of your 12 years’ no claims. I completely understand why you’re frustrated, especially when you feel you’re not being listened to and it’s being made to sound impossible.

Avoid

Avoid. Worst company I have ever been with. Only given a 1 star as couldn’t give lower. Claims they’ve had issues trying to take payment when no payment has been attempted out of my bank so now have been given late fees. Also changed to a new car and been told they cannot insure the new vehicle so that I will have to pay a £60 cancellation fee. To top it all off the women I spoke to was extremely rude and unprofessional. Also then tried to gaslight me as well as intimidate me when asking what car I’ve been driving if not my own & when id answered my partners car she tryed to say I voided my insurance because I was driving my partners car as well as saying what I was doing was illegal. I’ve spoken to this women in two separate occasions and on both times she has been very rude. They clearly need to hire some new polite & professional staff. This company does not deserve a single customer! Hope that other people look at the reviews before picking them and making the same mistake that all of us in these reviews have! NEVER FELT HAPPIER THAN WHEN THEY TOLD ME I HAD TO CANCEL!!

Rang to ask if Renewal was in place was told we don't Renew
Three days Later an E-mail arrived to say my insurance is Auto Renewing at a Rediculous Price
Rang again to be told my Insurance had been cancelled
Spent 1 hour 20 mins on the telephone I was on Training and missed it as I was stressed because I had driven to work to be told it was cancelled I was wondering how I would get home
I was told I would have to pay for anyamendments of £50 and take out a new policy at a Rediculous price
The telephone operator had very poor English and kept going away to speak to somebody elsewhere for advice
So bad the service I kept asking who had cancelled the policy he said the call handler last week so I had been driving for a few week without insurance OMG
Eventually he said he was looking at the wrong policy as there were 2 and the policy number was incorrect
I had to ring again today as I need clarification the Insurance would not renew
The Call handler was Excellent and I spoke to her manager on this matter hand asked him to praise her her name was Zepee

I was forst to renew!!

I was forced to renew!!
Requested refund buy writing and on the phone.
Staff are very rude.

The reply from Geoffrey Insurance is not accurate. I logged onto account and requested not to auto renew phoned them three times, talked to staff that are treating their customers with complete contempt and still charged my card with a service that I did not request or want. My advice stay well clear, I will be contacting the FCA and will be reporting the rouge trader.

⚠️ Please think twice before using Geoffrey Car Insurance ⚠️

After being hit by a police car on New Year’s Eve (non-fault), I am still battling just to manage my day-to-day life and keep my business afloat.

I drive a 7-seater with business use as I’m a childminder, and I specifically pay extra for courtesy car cover. Despite this, they delivered a 4-seater Fiat, which is completely unsuitable for my work — meaning I cannot carry out my daily routine.

I’ve since been told that, hidden in the small print, a courtesy car is “subject to availability” and not guaranteed.
I understand compromises if an accident is my fault — but this wasn’t my fault. So why is my working life the one suffering?

My insurer should be dealing with the third party’s insurance to ensure I have a suitable replacement vehicle while mine is being repaired. Instead, after over 24 hours of phone calls, I’m no further forward.

As a “solution”, I was told I could stop working and claim loss of income — but anyone running a small business knows that clients won’t just wait around. I’d lose my business.

The entire situation has been incredibly stressful and upsetting. The only positive has been the Carpenters legal team, who have been the most helpful department throughout.

I’ve now been told my car may not be ready for months, and honestly, I can’t see a way out of this nightmare.

You’d expect that if you were involved in a non-fault accident — especially being hit by the police — you’d be looked after. Instead, I’m desperately trying to keep my business going without the transport I actually need.

I am exhausted, stressed, and genuinely disgusted by how this has been handled.

After i cancelled my policy

After i cancelled my policy , i was told i would get a refund and this was confirmed by email and i was told i dont owe any money.

I received letter late yesterday telling me my policy is cancelled and a premium amount is due on the account.

During this cost of living crisis this has caused me further stress and confusion which could have easily been avoided.
I an really upset and shocked on the experience i have received.

Following the cancellation of your policy, the cancellation and final balance calculate any payments pending on your account, and therefore if the direct debit was cancelled, preventing a pending payment from clearing, it could leave you in a deficit instead of a credit.

Despite spending 2 days on the phone…

Despite spending 2 days on the phone trying to get them to amend incorrect information they sent me a letter stating they couldn't renew my insurance so I had to find another broker...... Low and behold without ANY communication from these inept people I logged into my account out of curiosity and it stated they would auto renew me at the cost of nearly 600 pounds good job I checked and realized these people do what they want and dont tell their customers what they are doing DD cancelled goodbye geffory insurance I'm now insured elsewhere at the cost of 240 quid PLEASE avoid these if you want to keep your sanity

Refused to change the vehicle on my policy

Refused to change the vehicle on my policy with 5 weeks remaining. For some reason they won't insure a family saloon car. Will never use this company again.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs! This has to be the worst company to deal with over the phone and via email, no departments are linked and they are not even aware of each other.
After 10 emails to sort out a permissions request they just replied with i can not have my no claims, they do not read emails or respond to what they have been asked.
When you phone they just say thankyou for the phone call and cut you off!
Pay another company more so you do not have to deal with this outfit.
Incompetent in all departments.

Geoffrey Insurance - great until you cancel your policy...

Geoffrey Insurance is great until you have an accident or want to cancel/change your policy.

I had an accident in September 25, a no blame fault. I got transferred to the insurance company as Geoffrey is the intermediary and to be fair these were efficient and paid me a fair amount after my car was written off.

Now for the down side. Geoffrey couldn't insure my new car as it was new as wasn't registered so I said fine and moved to another insurance company. As my car was written off and DVLA was notified and I was assured I didn't need to do anything else and I forgot about it. The direct debits kept coming out for my written off car for two months and I finally cancelled my December direct debit. Then the threatening letters started.

After several attempts to call Geoffrey Insurance and conversations I received a small reimbursement but not the £70 they took. They said I didn't notify them and say the magic words "I want to cancel my insurance" (for a car they know was written off). They backdated my cancellation, eventually, but I still made a complaint despite them trying to persuade me not to.

I thought this was the end of it until I received a text on Thursday asking me to call them - they now say I owe £215 for a premium! I have not had this in writing and when I asked the customer services person three times what this is for I am none the wiser. The email I was promised to explain everything has not appeared.

They don't appear to communicate to other departments or their intermediaries. It's been a shambolic experience and I won't be using them again and I would recommend others to pay a little more for a better service.
