I have used Geoffrey Insurance for years. Their customer service is excellent and website is so easy to use.
I have used other insurers but find Geoffrey are so competitive I end up going back. Just renewed again with them.

Lost my job so direct debit bounced, had an email to say I needed to make a payment via the call centre or My Account. Have since found work and tried to make the payment online to bring the account back upto date however I am unable to do so even though the email says I can, virtual chat is useless as it just sends you in a circle and tells you to call the office...........which is closed website keeps freezing or timing out and saying theres a problem Oh and dont bother trying to send an email there isnt one available. Policy is now going to be cancelled at midnight. Now i know why these guys are cheap, do yourself a favour and avoid and pay a little bit more.

There is no way to cancel a renewal on the portal other than webchat, which I have done yet I am still getting reminders that my policy in force & payment outstanding. Called the number waited 25 min to be connected spoke to a very unhelpful lady re the webchat cancellation, she said the policy is still in force then she just hung up on me. I will be contacting the insurance ombudsman.

Geoffrey rang me after I posted my one star review and apologised for taking 677.71 on my credit card after I had cancelled my policy. I received a full refund today. My beef about this company is their website. The webpage you need to opt out of ‘automatic renewal’ is buried and difficult to find. Another beef is that I never opted IN for ‘auto renewal’ - that must have been by default. That’s wrong. So until they change their website so it’s easy to cancel your policy they only get One Star from me.

Never trust these cow boy company they're the worst I have to deal with and their lies I'm disabled driver and told them everything and now they have cancelled my insurance after I have provided them with everything . Disgusted with their level service I will be be looking into taking this further.

Despite paying for legal protection when I was involved in a non-fault accident I received no help from Geoffrey Insurance and had to deal with 8 other companies and spend nearly 8 hours over several months dealing with matters that should not have been down to me in order to receive payment from a 3rd party

Following a very unpleasant experience with various call handlers I received a call from the service recovery team. Spoke with a very knowledgeable lady, Leanne, who listened and actually made me feel that customer experience is really important to them. Cannot fault the way she handled my complaint . Thank you

Cancelled my auto renew a month before it ran out via the app. Get an email day before auto renew saying they'll auto renew the insurance at a significantly higher price. Tried cancelling policy on app and ability to do so was not there or very well hidden. Sent email day before renewal to cancel. Called them the day of the renewal to cancel as they had taken £975 from my account, even though it was supposed to be taken 4days later. Asked to cancel and get refund immediately. They said they would cancel and refund me in 5-7 days. I asked for written confirmation via email or SMS that i will get full refund, operator put me on hold for few minutes and said they cannot send me any form of confirmation I would he getting my money back, it was not company policy. 10 minutes later I get a SMS saying my policy is renewed for the year. Absolutely shocking! I had to call back to clarify that I had spent 45mins on the phone less than 1hr ago cancelling my policy. Operator confirmed policy was cancelled and a mix up occurred in the message via email to me. It wasn't via email but via text. I am still waiting for the confirmation they promised to send me via email that the policynis cancelled. 7 days have passed and nothing and no refund to my bank account. I'll be taking this matter to the Ombudsman.

I bought another car and phone them up to change to my new car and was told by a foreign person that they dont change to another car!! I said all car insurances change to other cars!! She said not us!! So i changed to another car insurance company!! Then rang geoffrey car insurance the next day to be told by a english person that they do change!! Gutted that i was told alie and had to pay £120 deposit to new company and a £60 fee to them!!
