BEWARE of this company and DO NO buy…
BEWARE of this company and DO NO buy from them.
Birkenstocks ordered - took weeks to arrive and NOT Birkenstocks. Sizing is also very small. Have tried to return but still no refund details after almost 2 weeks of contacting Sophia in Customer Services. Customer Services telephone number is a mobile and you can only leave a message and they don't return your call. Definitely a scam. If you've paid by credit card ask for a refund.
Total scam, avoid all costs.
Look at all the reviews further down. So you know more. Counterfeit goods. Total scam. Avoid at all costs.
ABSOLUTE SCAM
ABSOLUTE SCAM. I ordered some trainers 2 weeks ago. I was encouraged as they had a UK address and telephone but found to my cost that this is a front for Chinese supplier. I attempted to cancel the transaction within hours but Sophia from Gainlier advised cancellation was impossible as the items had been dispatched, however tracking showed that the items had not even been recieved by the shipping agent. It is now a ridiculous situation, the goods have not been dispatched and the company refuses refund as the order is processed (yeah right). Trading standards should clearly take down this fraudulent operation.
Scam website
Scam website, be very careful, another Chinese scam site, advertising as they have birkenstoff and after 1 month I have received a pair of Green sandals not taupe and not birkenstoff I have photos that show they ad ertise with borkenstoff, so now in the hands of fraud with my bank etc why dies the uk allow these chimes scammers to advertise they even Offer klana they are the worst fraudsters ever
Simply a scam
Scam company, fake items arriving directly from China in a plastic bag. Totally counterfeit.
If you do some research you'll see that the business is registered to a residential address and the domain is registered to an address in Iceland. If you search a bit better you'll find more businesses linked to this address.
If you ask for a refund, they'll reply asking for photos and then say you'll be contacted by the refund department who will issue a label for a free return. This is a stalling strategy, but they will then just disappear.
Just to straight through your credit card company without wasting any time.
Fake site, selling fake goods
Fake site, selling fake goods coming in from China.
The business address on Google maps takes you to a residential house on a residential street in London.
If your goods do actually turn up, they take around 3-4 weeks, and are clearly fake.
In my case a pair of Hoka running trainers, that turned up in a plastic bag from China, with no paperwork.
DO NOT buy from this company
DO NOT buy from this company. I guess I should have realised that when I saw a pair of Hoka trainers so cheap and in stock that the old saying if something is too good to be true.....
The shoes took almost a month to arrive and the comms with their customer services during that period largely blamed some nonsense about customs in China. Then when they finally arrived in a plastic bag with no box and a weird smell I realised that these were fakes. They asked for photos etc promised me goodwill refunds, investigations etc but now all I get is a copy and pasted email they sent to me at the start. Avoid you have been warned!
There site offers BIRKENSTOCK sandals…
There site offers BIRKENSTOCK sandals and states there store is London based with a 3-10 day delivery service.
Not only did thenitem take 3 weeks to arrive, they came from china so were held up in customs. When they eventually arrived, they are the cheapest knocks offs imaginable! Not even attempting to replicate the real thing. No packaging, no branding, completely different visual appearance!
Disgraceful company.
Clearly a scam take your money no…
Clearly a scam take your money no delivery and a lot of nonsense emails re delivery from china etc, do not buy from them they are scammers and thieves.
It’s probably a scam organisation
It’s probably a scam organisation. Previous existences are likely to have been Beckfordus and Refdol. I had very pleasant communications from “Sophie”. I did receive the shoes but they were the wrong size. They took a long time to come from China. Compensation was promised but never happened. I did not trust that a full refund would be forthcoming. The UK office is a nice house in north London, previously a nice bungalow in Newport. The site is AI constructed and the products, if they exist, will come from the cheaper market in China. You will be better off paying more from real people based in the UK. This is virtual commercialism. Trust it if you want but it is not listed on Companies House and could be set up from anywhere in the world. The delay in response time is probably due to time zones, and their day jobs. You have to admire their cheek, though.
!!Scam!!
Scam company pretending to be UK based. Selling counterfeit items that get delivered from China.
Whoever is leaving a good review on here saying the shoes are good is whether working for gainlier or has never tried a pair of Hokas before. I am a runner and have used several pairs throughout the years.
These are absolutely terrible, the sole is hard and they will cause injury if you use them for running.
Fake Hoka - don't buy!
Yes, fake hoka trainers and took 2 months to arrive.
No communication from gainlier. Com despite multiple emails over months.
Fake Hoka Trainers
Fake Hoka Trainers. No box, or packaging
Fake Hoka Shoes
I bought a pair of Hoka shoes but after waiting 30 days for them, it's a pair of fakes !! Company (a person called Sophie, I doubt that's her name) kept saying they would refund, it was on its way etc but now they appear to have blocked me. All through the process they kept reassuring me it was a customs hold up and they were nearly here etc etc. I asked for a refund after 14 days of waiting. First time I've been scammed ! Still waiting for the refund and left with a pair of hideous shoes !
Scam avoid
Birks not arrived. Aware likely copies but that’s ok, but on enquiring tracking is just not updating now for 7 days (china based) and Gainlier website now not available. Bank investigating refund, but sadly I think I’ve lost out
Caveat emptor
Cheap ill fitting fake HOKAs eventually arrived, promised return label did not, credit card reimbursed, Gainlier dispute ongoing - the absolute cheek.
Selling counterfeit hokas.
Selling counterfeit hokas.
Avoid.
Fortunately purchased on my amex, so they are dealing with it
Scam - fake Hoka trainers
I wish I'd read the previous review! I purchased a pair and am still waiting on them a couple of weeks later. After entering my tracking number on the website I got a "Can not find order" message which rang alarm bells. I then contacted their customer support who told me the shoes were stuck in customs - more alarm bells as it's meant to be a UK based company (where I'm also located). Then I came on here and saw that it's a scam :(
Scam website
Scam website. Selling branded shoes (specifically Hoka’s) at very low prices, and all the sizes are always available. I received a pair directly from China which were clearly counterfeit.
Company will respond to complaints claiming a refund is being investigated but it’s just a stalling tactic, they’re aware of how this process works. Currently pursuing a refund with my bank but an administrative headache. Avoid.
