It has been a few months since I purchased a pair of Hokka Clifton 9's from Gainlier. They were fake!

The Gainlier shopify store has been taken down but I am willing to bet they are open under a different name. Do what you can to check authenticity of anything you buy from an unknown site where the price is cheaper than everyone else.

My first alarm bell was when the promised 2-5 days shipping turned into 4 weeks...I realised they were coming from China.

When. they arrived, they were clearly not genuine Hokka quality. New Hokka's feel like walking on a cloud. They weigh nothing...I knew immediately these were NOT GENUINE!

It took until the end of September for Visa to conclude the investigation in my favour. I got my money back. I still have the shoes but the insoles are already worn through...I wear them for walking to the pub. I would never run in them.

I took photos of the shoes, and compared them to genuine Clifton 9's as shown on Hokka's website. The pattern was different on the top of the show AND the sole (slightly, but different). I didn't have scales that accurate but they clearly weighed more thn 250g. The tongue didn't match, and the heal was "pointier"!

Be careful. Gainlier will open up under a different name!

I ordered what were advertised as Birkenstock sandals from Gainlier, who claim to be a UK-based company with 3-day delivery. What I actually received, four weeks later from China, were cheap counterfeit copies that were clearly fake.

The sandals were poorly made, nothing like genuine Birkenstocks, and arrived in unbranded packaging. Every attempt to contact Gainlier was ignored, no replies to emails, no contact number, and no help whatsoever.

It became obvious this company is misleading customers, pretending to be UK-based when they’re shipping counterfeit goods from China. I eventually had to pursue a chargeback through my credit card company to get my money back.

Gainlier are dishonest and deceptive — avoid at all costs. Do not waste your time or money; they are selling fakes and lying about who they are.

Raised dispute with my bank after 3 weeks of unsuccessfully trying to contact the company. Company have disputed my claim after nearly 4 weeks so have to wait 2 more months for a decision whi h will make 4 months since delivery of fake item. Tried again to contact the.company. No response to contact form and emails bounce back. SP Gainlier is not listed at Companies House. Avoid at all costs.

A complete scam

It had been months and my item hadn't arrived. I emailed their customer service who was obtuse and useless.

I submitted chargeback as I thought I'd never get the item.

I received "the item" and it was counterfeit. Gainlier actually agreed to refund me. But, then, never replied when I asked when. Then, eventually the email bounced back, saying it didn't exist.

Now, my bank has returned my money to them as they won the dispute by showing the fake item was delivered.

Scam.

FAKE GOODS SOLD AS GENUINE!!!
For me it was Birkenstock Boston mule clogs, not even boxed, just wrapped in paper and plastic. No customer service, no replies, nothing fom them... DO NOT BUY FROM THIS FAKE CHINESE WEBSITE FRAUDSTERS!!!

Received fake HOKA trainers and have tried to contact them by ringing, leaving voicemails, emails, completing contact details online advising l need to return item and have not received any respond to anything!!

AVOID - i purchased some Hoka Clifton 9s, from Gainlier London, took about 3 weeks to come, arrived in a plastic bag from China, no box, horrible fakes.
Get promised a return label will be sent from Gainlier but weeks later and numerous emails, contact email address
AVOID and do not buy. Open charge back request via credit card company seems to be trading Atrieve now.

Please don’t buy from this website they tell you something is genuine and it’s not, it’s fake.
Then when you try to return the item to get a refund they ignore your emails and phone messages.
Total rip off please don’t use this website!

Bought hoka trainers that arrived late and in a plastic bag. They are damaged and fake, the email address doesn't exist and tel number goes to answer phone. The site is too good to be true and avoid at all costs. Now trading as kiberton DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Bought some sandals that arrived over a month late looking nothing like the product I ordered. When I requested a refund ‘Sofia’ from their ‘customer services’ was initially very responsive & apologetic. All fake. As with many other reviews I’ve read, my emails started bouncing back & I no longer have any way of contacting them. Their website seems to have had a complete overhaul and is now pretending to sell homeware… again, all fake. To summarise, they are thieves. Avoid at all costs.

Fake Birkenstocks!!!
I'm so sorry I only read reviews after paying for Arizona sandals. I was told I couldn't cancel as they’d already been dispatched. But I could send pics of the item when I received it and request a shipping label to return them. They took almost 3 weeks from china and stank of a strong glue like substance. The sole of the shoe is nothing like real Birkenstocks which is slightly raised and shaped to the contours of your toes and sole of foot. These are very cheaply made. Also, emails to Sofia, who initially was very responsive, are bouncing back as undeliverable. THEY ARE NOW TRADING UNDER ANOTHER COMPANY CALLED KIBERTAN.

Please do yourself a massive favour and AVOID

SCAM! Bought a pair of Hoka trainers, it took a long time for them to arrive, they were eventually delivered without labels or a shoe box (they just arrived in a plastic bag). They were too small and so I wanted to return them. I emailed them and had a response from someone called Sophia saying that the returns department would be in touch with more information. I didn't hear from them and tried to contact Sophia again but the email address is no longer active.

These guys are fraudsters. They were advertising Birkenstocks, then sent me fakes from China. They refused to send the genuine product after me sending persistent emails.

I'm so sorry I only read reviews after paying for Hoka Clifton 9's. I was told I couldn't canx until they had been delivered. They took 3 weeks from china and are so obviousely a fake even to someone as inexperienced as me. I tried on real ones in a reputable shop and they were very narrow even half a size bigger. these are too wide, too long and when I pulled my foot out of the trainer the insole came out with my foot. very cheaply made. Also, emails are bouncing back now and no connection with phone number provided, which is a mobile number. ANOTHER REVIEW SAID THEY ARE NOW TRADING IN A DIFFERENT NAME.

TOTALLY FAKE - CORRUPT - SET UP OF CHANCERS - CRAP FAKE PRODUTS AND THEN NO ANSWER OR REFUND - DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE FRAUDERSTERS

From the moment I tried to obtain a returns label, the day myHoka shoes arrived as they were too small.
I had been promised by Sofia (customer services) that she would sort it out.
1st September today, and still no returns label
I now believe they have changed their trading name and are a scam company.
