I approached FMD Solicitors with regards to disrepair issues in my flat. I was initially helped by a representative and was able to discuss all my concerns with them and send them over evidence of my disrepair issues. I was Lucy Blinkhorn as a case representative who called me and went over the full case and was able to answer any questions I had. Lucy also gave me her direct contact so that I can contact her for any updates and further developments with my case. Lucy was knowledgeable and easy to speak with Thank you so much.

I'd give this firm a wide berth.

I've only been dealing with them for one day and it's very apparent that they're not a proper company.

They've spent months, and months on a direpair case for a friend of mine who is vulnerable and all he's had from them is broken promises and abruptly ended phone calls.

I've experienced this today with them. As soon as they've realised someone with a clue is going to get involved, the only interst they have is stopping them.

I've done more in one week for my friend than they've done in however long it's been.

I'd imagine their goal is to delay repairs as much as possible so the damage is worse and the payout bigger so they can then take a share and leave the client unable to afford the repairs.

They boil my blood, people like these. They think they're clever, and the first to come up with the cons, but it's the same old rubbish as all before.

Ps. For context given their reply: I was sat with my friend at the time and he gave full authority. They hung up on him too. There was nothing polite about it.

FDM Solicitors are Tenants Advice. DON'T CONTACT THEM IF YOU ARE A COUNCIL/H.A.TENANT SPEAKNG WITH A FOREIGNER ACCENT! You'll be treated with contempt, as I have already been, especially if they assign Ellie B. to your case. A British friend of mine heard a conversation over the phone with this person and said that she wouldn't dare to speak to her the way she spoke to me. Zero stars to Ellie B. Besides, they take as much as they are allowed to from your compensation and forget about the repairs. The roof where I live is still cracked and it's still raining inside my flat. There are better advisors around, some are even for free.

My experience working with your firm was very disappointing and desertisfied. You have been failing to send me emails and correspondences between you and the council. Meanwhile, you breached the case by refusing to laise with me the claimant by signing and accepting offer without seeing the documents and sign for them.
However, you have always failed to communicate through documents. Also, your words never matches your act. How can you settled a case without the knowledge of the claimant agreement and acceptance of fees and no money paid into my account and close the case.
Time frame is very poor.

I tried to contact you several times via email or voicemail and I never received a reply back. The work that is supposed to be done has not been carried out and council refusing to do it.

Thanks to Ellie for ensuring we won our claim against our Housing Association. We can now put the money back into finally redecorating.

Sick to death with my landlord doing little bits here and there, contacted FDM solicitor and within 2 weeks I got a time and date when the repairs were done. They weren't don't buy the landlord they sent a private firm to do it and fantastic job. They also gave me compensation which paid my rent arrears off. Well done FDM.

From start to finish FDM did pretty much everything to manage my housing disrepair claim. Today my housing association settled out of court and have agreed to get the work done which we patiently waited for for 2 years before FDM got involved.
